The words were pleasing to hear, but from the smug expression on Julius's face, as if he had said something really smart, Savine got that he really meant that his aunt would not be bested. She wouldn't be bested by other mages, and she wouldn't be bested by a horde of commoners, even they swarmed at her in the thousands.
However, her idol only shook her head at the statement.
"I'm afraid I've disappointed you already."
Julius heard this and thought for a few second before replying confidently.
"Aunt, your hidden meaning is too easy to see." Julius seemed to think that this was Eliseline's hidden meaning. "It's also a lie, so I felt needed to speak up."
The rules were that Julius needed to find the secret meaning and then answer to it subtly. But he was much too passionate of a fan of Eliseline. He felt compelled to speak up and defend her honor.
