34. What you missed about me

Her name suited her perfectly, Derek thought. He realised he was smiling when his cheeks started to hurt. He hadn't smiled in a long while and just this little stretch caused pain.

He went to the washroom to brush his teeth and bathe. He was an early riser and mostly he skipped breakfast because he left early sometimes.

He dressed up and picked up his jotter. Right from work, he would go see Dr Suarez. He had a lot to discuss.

He got downstairs and went straight to his car. He was about to start the engine when he remembered something.

He knew Hayford. He was probably still holding a grudge against Rory, and might just disappear just so he wouldn't be asked to send her to school.

He had to look for someone else to do so. Trying to talk Hayford into understanding would be a waste of time. He knew him too well. He was that stubborn.
