114. Finding Aunt Charlotte II

They got to the store around 9am and opened it up. Mike helped Edna to arrange the fruits and vegetables on the table in front of the store while Edna dusted around and arranged things inside.

Mike had been in the shop for a number of times already so he knew his way around things. It took just a few orders from Edna and he got the work done.

In no time, the shop was ready for customers. People did not usually shop on Sundays but a few usually came around so they were hopeful to get someone to use the phone.

A few people came in, but they gave excuses. Either they were in a hurry, or their batteries were about to die, or their phones were not with them at the moment. 

About three hours later, one regular customer came in.

"Oh, thank goodness. I thought you won't open the store today." The woman breathed in relief. "How are you doing, Edna?"
