Chapter 3; Road to prefectship

Now that all the nominees for the prefectship positions have been announced, all the students chosen will have one week to campaign against each other for the votes of their fellow students, amongst all the nominees one of the students really took the school by surprise with her surprise nomination in a position that was supposed to be limited to two contenders chosen strictly from class 10, Rebecca Aizen the district captain for class 9 got nominated as the third contender for the position of chancellor prefect which is the position second in command to the head prefect, it's but a wonder how she got nominated or what she could have possibly done to get such a nomination, but for all the classes and competitors there was no time for this question to be pondered for the campaigning for the positions had already begun and only the strong can survive the long and ever so treacherous road to prefectship.

In class 10:...

Shawn: so uhmmm, aren't we going to address the elephant in the entire academy?

Nanami: *Laughing hysterically* you guys should have seen the captain's face she went completely pale after Mickelson called Rebecca's name*mimics Ruby's expression*

Josh: hahaha...*clears throat* Nanami you shouldn't make fun of our captain, she was taken by surprise just like the rest of us.

Lucas: Hahaha so what's the plan captain.

Ruby: Hhhhhh okay guys to be honest with you I have no Idea what's going on right now but nonetheless we cannot let that be our focus point. The prefectship campaigning has already begun and we cannot spare a thought for what that busybody is up to we'll need to push forward with all our efforts and assure that our class doesn't loose authority to those hoodlums in the class 9 district, meaning you all will need to give it your all in your respective fields, especially Nanami and Leo...both of you need to get serious with your campaigning. That reminds me, where is Leonardo.

Shawn: yes captain, we shouldn't spear a thought for Rebecca. But on a more pressing note can we really trust Leo to go up against her, Nanami might have some chance but a pushover like him could never.

Somewhere in the class 9 district close to the dorms:.....

Leonardo(20 years old male in class 10): running away and screaming hey come guys let's be civil and not resort to violence AAAAAHHHHH!

Leonardo who is being chassed by 3 students from class 9 gets tackled to the ground in and instant by another member of class 9.

Leonardo: Alaric!? Where did you come from.

Alaric(19 years old male in class 9): well well, if it isn't the f*uk up from class 10, what brings you to district 9 Leo?

Leonardo: I was just passing through, honest!

Hanna(19 years old female in class 9): passing through huh, Alaric I think you should just ice him maybe that will teach him to stay off our turf.

Jason(20 years old male in class 9): yeah Alaric ice this fool, that should send a message to those cocky class 10 jerks.

Mark(19 years old male in class 9): Hmph dumb class 10, good thing captain managed to get a nomination as chancellor to balance out the power difference.

Jason: yeah if not they would just be full of themselves.

Alaric: calm down guys, let's not cross the line here I don't want to have those class 10's breathing down our necks for attacking their own, especially Shawn..... I'd rather not piss off that monster.

Leonardo: okay see you don't want all that trouble so let's just call it a day.

Alaric: A day? Oh no we're just getting started, we might not be able to kill your or hurt you, but your still in our territory so we can at least....

Leonardo: Oh yeah i am in your territory but I'm sure we can work something out isn't that right Miss Aizen?

Jason: What!? Captain?! looks around

Alaric:!!!

When Leonardo used Rebecca's surname to address her he did so as a show of respect which is normally used to address those who have high status and responsibilities. Using this distraction Leonardo successfully gets away from the class 9 misfits.

Leonardo: hahaha see you suckers!!!

Hanna: Damn it he got away, should we follow him Alaric?

Alaric: hhhhh no it'll really complicate things if captain actually catches us with those drugs he stole, besides he has already gotten to the hallway to district 10, he's passed our territory.

Hanna: I wonder how they keep him in this school anyway, he's always high on something and if you asked me he should be dismissed completely.

Mark: Well that's not gonna happen anytime soon since Nanami keeps covering for him and no one can say no to that girl.

Alaric: Leave it at that, let's get back to the dorms.

Meanwhile in the dorms of class 9....

Blake: *Knocks on the door*, captain I'm here.

Rebecca: Ah Blake, come in I've been waiting for you.

Blake: Good because I have many questions.

Rebecca who just got out of the shower wearing a towel walks to her cabinet and gets two glasses and a bottle of wine.

Rebecca: Calm yourself, we'll get there first have a drink, please sit down.

Blake: *Sits* well? Explain yourself.

Rebecca: What would you like to know.

Blake: What would I like to know? *scoffs* cut the bullshit Rebecca, what did you do?

Rebecca: Hey now, just because we might be sexually connected from time to time doesn't mean you should forget who it is you speak with alright, now you wanna know how I got the post right?....I used my power if you must know.

Blake: What exactly is this power of yours, I know your an awakened but you never did tell me what abilities you possess. You are not even registered as an awakened.

Rebecca: Well if I was registered then I wouldn't be able utilize my abilities like I do then the school board would have their eyes in me and I wouldn't be able to get to the position I'm in, tell me Blake have you ever heard of the Jonathan nobility.

Blake: Yes I know about them they were the top nobles about 17 years ago till their empire went silent and their family even lost their nobility titles, it's said that the entire empire was led by an eight year old child. But I thought those were just rumors and fantasy stories made up by nobles of the youngest and greatest noble.

Rebecca: Rumors?.. oh honey those weren't rumors the Jonathan Air did exist and he died 17 years ago or so they say, there are many tales of what happened to him bit that's not the point, I loved everything about him, the youngest noble Augustus Jonathan, and he inspired me back then when I was little and there's this saying that that Lord Jonathan often said, "a weapon whose capabilities are unknown is most dangerous weapon".

Blake: So...you plan on keeping your awakening secret then?

Rebecca: Yes I do, and of course for that I'll need your help. So will you be my right hand Blake? With your power and influence we'll have this school in the palm of our hands.

Blake: You plan on taking on the entire class 10 and deceive the school board? That doesn't sound like a smart move to make Rebecca.

Rebecca: I never did say I was deceiving them, but don't worry yourself about that, if you chose to join me now we will destroy class ten and have the school board right where we want them.

Blake: I.....

Blake is interrupted by the sound of an object falling outside the door, they both look to the door and see a the shadow of a person trying to get away.

Rebecca: Don't let them get away!

Blake without thinking dashes out to chase down the eavesdropper, thanks to his abilities Blake is able to catch and detain this mysterious person easily and not a short while later Rebecca also appears at the scene.

Blake: Ushiha?! What were you doing here.

Rebecca: Oh darling Ushiha it's a pity really, you weren't supposed to hear that.

Blake: Hold on, we don't even know if she heard.

Ushiha(19 years old female in class 9): please captain I didn't hear a word, so please let me go.

Rebecca: I don't think you quite understand the matter at hand here Blake, I cannot risk anyone even knowing that I am an awakened not even one of our own. It was your own fault Ushiha you were at the wrong place at the wrong time and I do not take kindly to people listening in on my private conversations, Blake..... I need you to get rid of her.

Blake: Captain!! How can you say such a thing, pardon my rudeness but she does not deserve such a cruel punishment, we can just detain her if you do not wish for your secrets to be leaked, killing her is no solution!!!

Ushiha: Please have mercy captain I promise I won't say a word, I won't tell a soul please!in a shaking voice.

Rebecca: I will not repeat myself Blake, this is necessary for our plans safety moving forward I cannot leave her alive for she is just a safety risk and I would prefer it if you wouldn't force me to make you do this.

Blake: I will not do such a thing and you cannot force me to do so.

Rebecca: hhhh you pushed me to this.

Rebecca looks Blake in the eyes with a stern look and then a gentle singing voice can be heard " Tell the truth"

Rebecca: Together we will obtain everything this world has to offer and no one will be able to stand against us, but before that. So Kill Ushiha Blake.

Blake: *smiles sinisterly* alright captain.

Ushiha: Please do not do this Blake please!!, I'll do anything please I.... I.. aaaahhhh!!!

Rebecca: Hahahaha, hmmmm do not worry Blake this was truly a necessary sacrifice, the road of to prefectship is not for the weak hearted nothing is going to stop us now. Hahahahaha. Take the body to my room.

In no time at all morning Came and news of Ushiha had been announced throughout the school and all the students the students had gathered in the assembly hall for the school board and Ushiha's class captain to give a report on the issue.

In the Gymnasium/assembly hall...

Mickelson: Good morning students, I come to you today with Unfortunate news. Yesterday a student from class 9, Ushiha Tanaka was found dead in the hallways of district 9, sadly not much information could be attained concerning this. But without delay the students of class 10 and 9 will carry on with her ascending, but before that the district captain of class 9 shall say a few words.

Rebecca: Good morning my fellow students, it is with a truly heavy heart I say this, Ushiha was a truly good student and overall a wonderful student, and I am here to tell you that I and I alone witnessed what happened that night, Ushiha killed herself, no one truly knew Ushiha very well, in fact she always kept to herself and maybe she was keeping a deep pain within herself all this time till the point it became too much for her to bear, I really do wish I was there for my student in her time of need but as time goes by we must go on with our lives and all I can do is hope her soul is taken in by the Gods Sabo and Akasha and that she ascends in peace thank you all for your time, class 10 and nine will start the ascending now .*sobs as she leaves the stage*.

Rowley: Hold on suicide? But why would Ushiha.

Alaric: Oh No..

Hanna: *In a shaky voice* Ushiha.

With all the students except those of class of and 9 returning to their classes, everyone had a look of sadness and depression except for one who looked rather confused.

Lucas: what the!?.... there's no way, has everyone gone insane? Ushiha was never a quiet person, even those who weren't in class 9 could tell she was always full of life and very insufferable. But now they're all standing here spouting nonsense. Ushiha wouldn't commit suicide.

Lucas walks out of the gym to get some air and think when he sees Blake sobbing all by himself.

Lucas: Blake? What are you doing out here all alone.

Blake: *still sobbing* Lucas? Just leave me alone this has nothing to do with you.

Lucas: well you look like you need some help, I'm here if you need to talk man just because we aren't in the same class doesn't mean I'm heartless towards all others.

Blake: fine it's not like you'd believe me anyway, it's Ushiha I don't know why but I keep getting flashes of her in my head, last night I remember she was there... there.... bit where, and I also remember seeing Rebecca. I don't know what's happening I don't understand.

Lucas: wait you were there with Rebecca Lucas thinking in his head{what is going on here?}. I think I'll go talk to Rebecca, clean yourself up your running for a prefectship position you Don't want to ruin your image, we'll soon start the ascending.

Ushiha's body is laid in front of the gym and Rebecca Brings out a candle and calls out Ushiha's name and lights the candle in front of Ushiha's body, her body begins to slowly fade away in a blue like dust. Lucas walks to the front to have a talk with Rebecca.

Lucas: Rebecca you have a minute?

Rebecca: Senior Lucas, is there a problem? I am in the middle of something.

Lucas: please pardon my rudeness I do hope her soul makes it to Valhala to rest with Sabo but I do have a question that I can't seem to figure out. It concerns your classmate Ushiha's death.

Rebecca: please go on then.

Lucas: You said you were alone when you found Ushiha's body isn't that right? But I just spoke to Blake and he said he was there with you.

Rebecca: is that what he said? Well I'm sure you must be confused, you see the thing is Blake has a very unique form mourning that makes him feel guilt for the Death of anyone near him, we all have our ways of bearing loss Blake even though he is physically the strongest in the school is no different. He should be fine after he calms down it is nothing for you to worry over I assure.

Lucas:{ should I mention Ushiha's behavior and everyone else's?... no that would only complicate things now}. I'm sorry for the interruption please carry on.

Lucas finds himself confused and starts to think he was just overreacting and leaves the gym to get some air once again.

The ascending comes to an end all the students come rushing out of the hall heading to their classes and Lucas confronts Blake once more.

Lucas: hey Blake, can we talk?

Blake: oh hey Lucas I looked for you inside the gym, I wanted to thank you for getting my head straight. Thanks man I owe you one.

Lucas: what? Blake I need to know are you certain you were together with Rebecca yesterday when Ushiha died and what did she say before she did?....

Blake: what? I never saw Ushiha before she died man your mistaken, sorry but I need to get going to class, bye now!. Runs off to class

Lucas: wait hold on.{what just happened}.
