Life has nothing to do with what we believe because what we do has been planned so before that we didn't even exist. And this plan is called Fate, by us. If things go according to our expectations, we say, 'Yeah, god made a good plan for me.' But if it goes against it, we simply blame our Fate for all of it. This's not our fault but the mindset we had built in as humans.
I said all these, so don't consider me as an immortal. I'm a human too, like you all. A story with a strong belief in Fate and Destiny just hit my memory and these words got spilled out.
Fifteen years ago, Jade was a six years child. He's very much connected to his mom that half of his things don't get done if she won't let her presence be around him. For her son, she left her job and settled as a responsible housewife and a caring mother. She takes him out wherever she would go by holding his little hand and wearing a beautiful smile. It was monsoon then, the rain had just taken a break, streets and the soil were like thirsty birds, absorbing water so fast. The old and yellow leaves were shedding off from the tress by saying goodbye to the branches and flowers. The sky turned blue from grey and those white foam-like clouds were trying to hide the sun but it was too bright that the clouds weren't able to bury it. The climate seemed to be rested.
"Mom, you said that we would go out once the rain gets done. See the climate, it got better now.", Jade said by making his tiny eyes larger.
"Okay, so you remember what I said this morning.", said Mrs. Williams taking Jade into her arms.
"Yeah Mom, I remember because it's about going out with you.", said Jade with a bright smile and a cute blink.
"My son is getting older now."
"But you'll always stay older than me anyhow."
"You learned how to talk, my boy."
"Mommy, this much conversation is enough. Can we start now?", said Jade making a puppy face with a kiss on her cheek.
"You're playing good, Jade.", she said by tapping the spot he kissed with a smirk.
"Hehe! Let's go, Mommy."
After five minutes of conversation, they finally went out on those wet streets with his little hand in hers. They did a lot of shopping and soon the sun got set. The bright blue color of the sky started to fade. Jade asked for a Hamburger and his mother couldn't deny it because of the weather. They were waiting for the burger to be made. Meanwhile, a puppy on another side of the road fell into his eyes. It was injured and couldn't be able to move. He asked his mom, "Mom, can I take that puppy home?" She looked closer to it and with a smile, she said, "Only till it gets cured."
"But why not permanently?"
"Because we don't know what's going to happen in the future. And once you start loving someone with all your heart and expect them to be with you forever, you can't accept the reality if they're gone."
"I didn't get what you just said."
"You'll get it with time and experience."
He ran to the other side of the road and took the puppy in his hands. Suddenly the climate got changed and it started to get violent. Heavy rain, strong wind, and thunderstorms. Mrs. Williams hurriedly took the burger and took the umbrella out. He got stuck on there with the puppy. She gestured for him to stay there. She ran to her son and in the middle a big vehicle hit her. The things in her hands and the umbrella got detached from her. The water under her got red with her blood and her slow voice calling Jade. He left the puppy there itself and ran to her. A bolt of huge lightning struck the vehicle along with his mother and before he could even touch her for the last time, she turned into ash. His colorful world turned blank and dark in a fraction of seconds. He couldn't able to take what so happened and fainted right over there. His vision got dark and only he could hear was a scream of a man.
