''Sir Atlas, please follow me. I will lead you to the awakening room where only you can see the results of your awakening.'' The receptionist said in a polite tone as she lead James to the awakening room.

In a room with a large whitish orb and a large screen, an ordinary-looking old man sat in the room reading a book as the receptionist brought in a handsome and young-looking boy.

'This boy is special, there is something about his aura I can't quite put my finger on. It seems he is also one of the immortal adventurers, their kind seems to be blessed by the elements. The least affinity grade I have seen for now is a C grade. That is quite the feat considering people with F-grade affinity tend to be common. This young man should at the very least have an A-grade affinity. As for the S grade, I highly doubt it.'

The old man thought as he scrutinized James.

''Guild manager, Sir Atlas is here to test his affinities and also register as an adventurer. Can you please help and supervise through the process?''The receptionist said as she walked in with James.

''Hahaha, of course, it is my job, after all, young man come and put his hand on the affinity orb.'' the Guild manager said as he looked towards James.

''Okay'' James said as he went forward and placed his hand on the orb.

''What is going on here? Is the problem with the affinity orb'' the old man said

''Anna go get me the new orb we just purchased recently.'' the old man said with an impatient tone.

''Yes, sir'' Anna moved quickly to go get the orb.

''Sir Jones, the orb is here.'' Anna said as she moved closer and placed the orb on the table.

''Young man place your hand on the orb once again''The old man said as he looked at James.

''Okay'' James did as he was told and placed his hand on the orb once again. This time also the results were the same. The light screen that showed the elements and their affinity grades remained blank, nothing appeared on it as if James didn't even touch the orb.

'' Young man I am sorry but this is the first time this has ever happened in the history of our world. Even those with the worst affinities have their grades appear on the light screen. All I know is that you are very unlucky, without strength, you will be reduced to a mere commoner.'' The old man said as he looked at James with a pitiful look.

Outside the adventurers guild, James came out of the Guild Hall with a carefree smile.

'' Hahaha...so that's why. I see so this is the meaning of nothing good comes for free.''James said as he laughed to himself. One will think that James would be sad at the turn of events instead he was smiling.

''I need to get a private place to sort all the issues out. The gaming manual, says anyone can rent a place and keep the expense on their tab. The owners will only allow that if I swear on my mana core to pay back. I guess I am in need right now, I have to rent a training room.''

''I will like to rent a private training room for a day. I will like to keep it on my tab since I can't pay right now. I will fulfill all the necessary arrangements to make it a possibility.'' James said to the receptionist.

(A/N:The soul contract does not affect immortal adventurers the way it affects residents of the Evolution world, but the punishments are harsh which will let them regress in strength(loss of levels since they cannot die permanently) and not be able to access Origin Evolution world for a short period. By that time a lot of the other adventurers would have left them in the dust.)

''Sir please follow me.'' the manager said as he lead James to the training room.
