Chapter 1.

"P-Please don't do this!" A young boy yelled with terror. The object of his fear laughed sadistically, "I," The man stabbed his knife into the young boy, "Don't," He stabbed it in deeper causing the young boy to scream in pain, "Think," The young boy had blood leaking out of his mouth and he became too weak to scream, "So!" The man finished the young boy off by taking his knife out of his body and slitting his throat.

The last sound that echoed throughout the young boy's mind was the sadistic, maniacal, laughs of his murderer. Once the boy's physical body died, his spiritual body flew and landed on top of a black river. The black river was full of souls like him and the boy's soul almost made it to the Gate until a black object knocked the boy's soul off course and out of the river.

This black object was another soul, the soul of a Monarch. The boy's soul and the Monarchs soul orbited each other until they combined with a loud 'BANG'. The result of their combination was a grey soul brimming with potential. Due to the force of their combination, this grey soul was barreling toward a universe, not like his own.

The soul then entered the atmosphere of a planet. It zipped around the planet until it found what it was looking for, a dead body. The dead body belonged to a boy around 17 years of age. The boy's body was in a cell and he appeared to have shackles on his arms, legs, and neck, this boy was probably a slave. The grey soul turned white with sympathy before going inside the boy's body.

The Monarch half of the grey soul noticed that the boy's body wasn't in any condition to wield its abilities, so it began reconstructing the boy's body. The boy's body grew taller to around 1.83m, his black hair also gained a few purple streaks while also growing longer stopping in the middle of his back, and he grew two curved, black horns on the top of his head.

The boy soon opened his grey-colored eyes and he began examining himself, "Name." The boy raked his mind for a name and one came to mind.

"Belial, Belial D Ashborne. D?" Belial was confused at himself saying D. What does D mean? The human half of his soul seemed to understand, "Will of D?"

Belial shook his head in confusion and paid attention to his current situation, "I'm a slave. Slave of Celestial Dragon. Other slaves here." Belial's eyes suddenly became incredibly determined at the thought of other slaves.

"Save them, I will save them." These words resonated with Belial's mind, body, and soul. Belial looked at the shackles around his limbs and frowned, "Irritating." Belial broke the chains around his wrists with ease and did the same with the other chains.

"Better," Belial said contently, "Still in a cage, I will break out. I will break everyone out. I will turn those Celestial Dragons to meat paste!" Belial's eyes glowed purple as he was filled with rage. The Monarch half of his soul agreed and gave him descriptions of his new abilities.

"Ruler's Authority." Belial moved his finger slightly and the bars of his cell exploded outwards. "Oops." Belial scratched the back of his head as he looked around.

"Dark," Belial commented as he walked down the brick corridor, "H-Help me please..." A young girl with white bunny ears pleaded as she stuck her hand out of the bars of her cell, hoping to grab Belial's attention.

"Stand back please little one," Belial said softly and the young girl walked to the end of her cell. Belial waved his finger again and the cell was split open along with the walls and the ground below the cell.

"Control, need control," Belial whispered to himself. The young girl was shaking at the end of her cell, she looked at Belial with fear.

"Don't worry, I won't hurt you," Belial put his right hand out, "I promise." Belial saw as hope bloomed in the girl's eyes and she ran to Belial with tears in her eyes. She hugged Belial tightly, afraid to let him go as if all of this was a dream.

Belial smiled as he patted her white hair, "Don't worry little one, I promise no one will hurt you anymore. Not for as long as I am alive!" Belial swore and the young girl tearfully nodded, "Okay!"

"Why don't you tell me your name?" Belial asked and the young girl nodded again, "M-My name is Thalia. What's your name, big brother?"

"Nice to meet you, Thalia my name is Belial." The girl just nodded and let go of Belial's waist. She quickly held onto Belial's hand, still afraid to let go.

"Thalia, how many of us are in here?" Belial softly asked, "I think there are 3 more cells. I heard the bad men saying that we were 'V.I.P merchandise'."

"Good, now can you tell me who is in those cells?" Belial asked and Thalia teared up as she shook her head, "I'm sorry I don't know." Belial smiled as he patted her head, "No need to cry, I'm not going to hurt you if you don't know."

Thalia sniffled and nodded her head. Belial walked further down the corridor with Thalia in tow and they arrived in front of another cell. The person inside the cell was a little boy with a long red, scaly tail and two large wings. The little boy was in the fetal position in the back of his cell and had dried tears on his face.

"Thalia, stand behind me please," Belial said and Thalia moved. Belial waved his finger again and the cell didn't explode again, the bars were just bent. Once the boy noticed the bars of his cell were bent he almost flew into Belial's arms. The boy cried in Belial's arms, making Belial wrap him in a tight hug.

"Your pain is over, no one will hurt you ever again," Belial promised which made the boy cry harder. After 2 minutes of crying, the boy finally calmed down.

"What's your name? My name is Belial and this is Thalia," Belial introduced himself and Thalia, who stood behind Belial's leg.

"M-My name is, Ifrit." The little boy nervously said. Belial ruffled his red hair and gave him a warm smile, "Nice to meet you, Ifrit."

Ifrit and Thalia held onto Belial's hands as they walked further into the corridor. Their lives from this point on were going to take a drastic change, a change that they desperately needed.
