Red Headed Industrialist

Simon's Pov-Current date- Overview of the two months after Awakening

A month had passed since that faithful day. The first two weeks were mostly used for Uncle Simon to adjust to his newfound knowledge he was able to mostly come to terms with life on other planets pretty quickly and though he had spoken calmly after he went through the Bestowal of Knowledge It became apparent later that His emotions were being suppressed And the weight of that knowledge hit him later. He had a small existential crisis but was able to redirect his focus on his nephew He didn't know if that was his cepan instinct or his affection for his nephew but it didn't matter. He was keeping an eye on his nephew as he tried to adjust to the new information But that was a bit hard to do because of his nephew's busy schedule.

The Swift family was an old family steeped in traditions and though Simon was way more laid back than his father most of their traditions were still in play. The old Simon before Being filled with knowledge often debated with himself about throwing away traditions and letting his nephew live how he wanted to grow up like a regular kid the way he wished he had been raised, but his brother had all but Demanded that Simon follow tradition in his will and he did love his brother so he complied. Most of the traditions were simple Just involving Following Family Moral Directives and training future Successors to be Captains of industry.

Which was why Damien's schedule was so busy, His lesson plans during the day, His business management tutoring, Martial arts training in the evening, Musical tutoring, and Even lessons in swordplay. His nephew had always been smart but within a week what he showed was Honestly ridiculous he had gone from a relatively smart to a generational prodigy in every single field of study. Though he was proud of his nephew it made a whole new set of problems.

He reacted quickly enough forcing Damien's tutors to sign non-disclosure agreements his years as acting CEO had let him learn the ins and outs of the corporate beast but seeing as he was a bit blindsided by his nephew's sudden success his actions were a bit slow stopping the spread of information and the knowledge of his nephew's intelligence had already disseminated through the ranks of the company it wasn't completely a bad thing it would help his nephews reputation and help him get control of Swift CO. when he was older.

The problems came from something that happened a few years ago right after his brother's death. There was a hostile takeover attempt inside the company and though the Hostile Takeover attempt had failed there were still a few who wanted to see that Damien never took his place at the front of this company and that painted a target on Damien's back especially if he was a prodigy.

After watching his Nephew He soon realized the Same thing That had happened to Him was happening to his nephew his emotions were definitely muted and while his intelligence had surged he didn't know if it was a bad or good thing as he was worried about Damien's Mental and Emotional Growth. As time passed he noticed the Emotionless mask that his nephew always seemed to wear now cracking from time to time and the childhood innocence that he used to have shining through so he was optimistic it was just a temporary effect and he would soon be back to normal but forever changed which made him both sad and hopeful.

( Simon Has no Idea that Damien has been reborn To him Damien is just His Garde and Nephew that has Unlocked a legacy to let him see past and future events)

Outside of watching his nephew, Simon Had spent the first few days living at least a bit in denial hoping that the information he had received was false but his newfound strength had forced him to accept the truth that at least part of the knowledge was true. The loric are on earth and his Nephew Was some kind of powerful Seer who would one day develop other fantastic superpowers. Which in all honesty he found pretty cool He was kinda like Superman's Dad though when he had that thought his heart hurt thinking about his brother.

Though He wasn't in denial about the loric or superpowers what he mostly hoped was wrong was the mogadorians and the government. He hated imagining an evil race of aliens that had wiped out such an advanced and powerful civilization such as the loric and now we're coming after Humanity The knowledge he had received gave him a new perspective of humanity and He knew that compared to the Lorien Humanity was ridiculously unprepared the only true advantage we had was our sheer numbers. And the size of the planet.

As he studied the new information he focused on two areas first the new knowledge of Lorien Martial arts it was by far superior to that of earth honestly most earthly Martial Arts felt like a descension from Loric martial Arts. Second, He focused on Loric Technology.

He might not have been on Sandor's level but since the knowledge had been imprinted directly in his head, further study brought him quickly to the level of an average loric engineer. After a few weeks, he started mixing the loric knowledge with earthly skills specifically hacking and with the advanced knowledge of the loric he could definitely say he was probably one of the best hackers in the world.

After His nephew's newfound intellect had been proven Simon took A more Hands-on position in his training. Simon adjusted pretty well He often called Mike and Ike to train with him and Damien, Who were astounded by the increase in strength of their employers Simon was not too forthcoming on details he knew the two were trustworthy but he honestly didn't think they would believe him unless they saw some undeniable proof especially about the mogs and the government since they were both ex-special forces. So he mostly told half-truths and lies and while they were suspicious they didn't and handled it with grace as true professionals.

Simon used his newfound expertise in hacking to get into high-level government databases. His worse fears were soon proven correct High-level government officials had made initial agreements for technology with the Mogadorians. The Mogadorians were already building Ashwood Estates several government and military facilities had been given to the Mogadorians. The deeper he went the worse. It took time but after a while, he came to terms with the situation the only way to save the world would be to help the loric and trust in his nephew.

However, he may started having second thoughts after he heard his nephew's plans.

Damien's pov-Current date- Overview of the two months after Awakening

It took him a few weeks to adjust to the newfound knowledge he was just a little kid but the days passed and the more he realized how different he was for one his instructors they were always a bit impatient with him before even though he did well it always seemed like he wasn't learning fast enough and that used to leave his teachers frustrated it now most of his instructors were left gapping like a fish at how quickly he mastered subjects.

Some stuff was a bit more difficult than others like he was still pretty bad at swordplay though he was improving Finally after a week his uncle cancelled his current lesson plans which to him was a week too long as he was bored out of his mind. He went through a regiment of testing. Proving what he already knew he was a genius.

As his uncle suspended his current lessons he found himself with a bit of free time on his hands he spent most of his time trying to search for which other worlds existed here. He was unable to find any clues at all but it was to be expected but disheartening all the same. He decided to focus on the loric for now. He made a timeline of important events and started making plans around them. That is when he hit his first real speed bump realizing that he would need subordinates sure he had resources but there were so many things happening at once that unless he recruited some trustworthy people he would probably end up getting killed trying to save the loric.

A Month after the Cepan bestow is when his uncle finally started training him personally along with Mike and Ike. Mike and Ike were Proving to be the perfect people to recruit to the team, Their combat skills were impeccable they were trustworthy They had Connections in law enforcement and the military from their time in the special forces. Plus they were already suspicious telling them might actually increase their trust especially since Uncle Simon wasn't really hiding his newfound strength from them.

Uncle Simon sparred with them almost every day after he got the cepan bestow and he kicked their ass in thousand different ways. I Mean Mike and Ike were just human you can't even compare Them to the low-end mogadorian Vatborn With their Enhanced strength and speed much less Piken and Krauls but what they didn't have in strength and speed they made up in technique. These were far from being pushovers as they were the best of the best in the special forces and there Uncle Simon was taking them down daily like He was Batman and it was time for some early morning cartoons.

Damien knew cepans didn't have any special powers But John(I am number four MC) really undersold how powerful the cepans are even though cepans don't have powers they live twice as long and are stronger, faster, and smarter than regular humans. It's an effect of living in such an advanced society and while it doesn't compare to the strength of a grade especially the Garde who inherited the power of the elders like John and the loric who escaped Lorien and Uncle Simon became a testament to how strong a Loric was even if they weren't grade.

After a month and a half, Damien finally came forward with his proposal to recruit Mike and Ike. Which Simon agreed to think about it, after a few days he brought Damien into his office to agree to bring them on.

"How do you plan to convince them?," Uncle Simon asked.

"I could show them the status like I showed you," Damien replied. Though that answer brought a scoff from his Uncle.

"That would prove the existence of superpowers and explain the changes but that wouldn't be enough to get them to turn against the government to help the loric." Uncle Simon replied." I have proof of high-level government officials making deals with the mogodorians but if we don't find a way to prove that they are the bad guys then we won't be able to sway anyone"

"Then we just need a real Loric To prove it to them," Daian said." All of the loric can be used as witnesses of the destruction that they cause."

Current date- February 20th, 2003 Two months after Awakening

" Then, We should just go after Number One right now," Uncle Simon said. For the past two weeks, He had been trying to convince Daimen that's where his focus should Be on the memories forced Upon him by The cepan bestow had ingrained a reverence to the Garde so Damien's choice to focus on Janus a regular loric infuriated his new sensibilities. Ever since he heard Damien's plans he had ragged on him.

"One is fine Right now She just relocated to California we have a whole eight months until she gets caught shoplifting forcing them to Malaysia. Eric Bird hasn't posted the Picture of Janus yet so the Mogs haven't caught him as long as you Keep your eyes on Eric Bird he'll lead us right to Janus and we can stop the Mogs from ever getting the Lead of which direction the Garde split up and we can slowly bring them together without the protection spell from ever breaking." Damien explained exasperated at the many times he had gone over this with his Uncle but by the worried look on his face, he was even less convinced.

"Once We get Janus we can recruit Mike and Ike to look for signs in the Egyptian desert for Ella, Crayton, Lexa, zophie, and the chimera, we can meet them and take them to a safe house Then we will be able to get One we have to make sure we secure the Loric who are in most danger first." He continued outlining the plan.

(Eric Bird photographed the ship in the original story leading to the mogadorian's finding Janus the pilot leading to his capture)

'I knew our first move was going to be a big one we were making a big play but if we succeeded we could manage to get half of the Loric forces on earth in one swoop but this is the only time that it will be relatively easy with the way mogadorians are gaining support across the world. It will be much harder to get the rest especially since the mogs don't know about the second ship yet according to the books.' Damien thought. 'the only people that I can't help are the greeters Every one of them has been caught by now and is getting interrogated and tortured by the mogs I could probably save Malcolm from Ashwood estates one day.'

Damien's training was getting increasingly more difficult since Simon had taken over his education he used loric tech to set up lesson places and trained him personally in combat. He was trying to use the "I'm Six" card but that was becoming more useless as the instincts of a trained cepan engrained deeper in Simon. He didn't mind that much. He still liked being a kid but He wanted to become stronger and He wanted to stop the mogs from ruining his world as they ruined theirs. Though he still found time for the things he loved like cartoons and comic books.

He'd been comparing this world to the world in his memories even though he didn't have direct access to the memories of his past lives he could tell what his past world was like based off of the memories of content because there were slight impressions of what was real and what was fantasy when he thought about it.(So even though he didn't experience he had a basic overview.)

He found many things were different for one his new earth was about twice the size of his past world but the population matched on a one-to-one ratio. The population of the world was just over 15.5 billion Another big difference was there were some big gaps in pop culture though it was 2002 so hed have to see how big those gaps were over time but even though there were some gaps somethings had stayed the same such as Marvel, Star wars and Dc. Certain music certain books He was slowly categorizing similarities and differences. Damien was brought out of his thoughts by his uncle Simon.

"I've got a meeting with Mr.Dare the industrialist we hired to get us the warehouses off the books he is probably going to negotiate more money out of the deal," Uncle Simon said with a tone of Disapproval not completely agreeing with my plan for the loric but choosing to redirect."How are you sure Eric Bird Will find Janus? Without Janus, all your plans will collapse We might even alert mogs we know we are on to them we need an alternative plan."

"This will work Trust me We'll probably hear from the guys about Janus Within the week if we don't Then we Will go with plan B," Damien said in a firm Tone, though it was hard to sound serious as a six-year-old. He sighed Dropping it for now. We walked out of the training room.

"How about this even if Eric Bird doesn't lead up to Janus we follow whatever your plan is for Egypt to get the crew from the second ship. But, if he does you owe me one "No Questions asked," request That I can use for anything I want." Damien proposed to his uncle. Damien had caught on long ago that his uncle was a sucker bets.

" Fine I'll take that action," Uncle Simon said full of confidence.

Damien walked toward the window of the apartment and looked out at the city of New York. They lived in the Penthouse of Swift Tower. Damien knew that only Nine of the loric enjoyed conditions as good as these but he wouldn't even be moving The penthouse of the John Hancock for another year and our security was even safer than Theirs since we owned the entire Building Though it would be much more secure with the level of Tech Sandor had. Plus though Mike and Ike were head of their security team they had 20 elite Guards working in the building at all times.

"What time is Mr. Dare coming?" Damian asked his Uncle Simon as he was walking towards his room to get washed up since Simon had a bit of work to do in his Office before the meeting but he was drenched in sweat after a difficult training session. Though Damien should have been getting washed up as well he instead Turned towards the huge TV In the Main living Room for Saturday cartoons and since his uncle was busy, he was able to sneak some snacks from the kitchen.

"He said around noon He's bringing his Family for brunch before we talk business." Uncle Simon Said. He then walked off bringing out his cellphone as he walked to call the Personal Chef we had in the building to be brought up at 12:30.

He looked at the clock it read 9:04. He nodded to himself, and started watching tv, After awhile he heard his uncle coming so he hid in front of the couch trying not to let his uncle see him since he wasn't supposed to be on the couch all dirty and sweaty and after his uncle Simon passed he snuck went up to his room to take a shower.

He tried not to get in His head too much about the future he kind of felt kind of useless he imagined himself as this super cool powerful superhero in the future he could be like Batman with superpowers but it made him feel of felt useless right now. He knew what the garde would be going through wouldn't be great even if he saved so many it made him a bit sad. He had talked to his uncle about it briefly when he was telling him what he knew about the greeters and his uncle had convinced him that it wasn't his fault he couldn't save them.

"per custodian, robur," Uncle Simon Told Daimen. "That's our family's motto 'Through protection, strength' Don't be upset about those you couldn't protect just focus on those you can and in that, you will find strength."

That had been Damien's driving words he repeated it in his head constantly when and it gave him hope. AFter he got out of the shower he dressed in a slick suit that his uncle had bought him for business meetings. He said that Upstanding Businessmen have to be conscious of their appearance. Though he didn't really get that he was going to be a super powerful alien warrior one day why would he need to care about that.

He looked in the mirror he liked the way he looked in the suit but he still couldn't forget the fact it was the Devil's face staring back at him. That sent a chill up his spine. 'status' I thought.

'Training is going well I'm improving at a fast rate probably by the time I'm 10 I'll be able to take down Uncle Simon even without My powers.' Damien thought with a vengeful smirk. Damien had figured that levels really correlated to overall threat leave and his level with a sword and martial arts was basic but if it was just a random untrained adult even though he was still just six he would crush them and even if he couldn't he might be able to out-think them.

Damien walked down the stairs to the main room when He heard Uncle Simon opening the door. He welcomed and greeted the guests graciously and ushered them in.

"It's Good to see you again this is my daughter Rachel Elizabeth." Mr.Dare introduced his Daughter." unfortunately, my wife wasn't able to get able to come she had a dentist appointment."

Damien Froze in shock at what Mr. Dare had said. He looked at the man's Daughter and the name clicked into place all at once, I knew another book that this world was formed out of.

'That's Rachel Elizabeth Dare the future oracle of Camp half-blood.' Damien's thoughts raced He tried to figure out how to deal with this rationally.

' Percy Jackson that's definitely a curve ball. But if there are gods why would they let the mogs take over.' His could feel a massive headache come on so He just pushed those thoughts out of his head. His uncle noticed the strange moment but chose to stay quiet.

"This must be your nephew Damian that you couldn't stop talking about." Mr.Dare said.

"Yes, this is my little Damian I Didn't know that your daughter was Around the same age as Damian" Uncle Simon Said Conversationally.

" Yes, she turns Seven in Two months" He Replied." Why don't we go talk Business and let them get to know each other a bit and let the kids get to know each other better."

"That would be Fine the food will be served in a Half-Hour" The adults walked towards the study. He thought about what to say. She Seemed A bit Timid. Damien Understood From what He remembers she Had Been seeing monsters already and no one believed her. Makes it a bit hard to make Friends.

"Hi, I'm Damian," Damien said.

" I know My dad told me," She responded quickly.

"I know but my Uncle taught me it is always better To introduce yourself" I respond with a slight chuckle She Blushes slightly.

"Well then I'm Rachel," she said with a smile.

"wanna see my room?" Damien asked her nervously not really sure not used to people his age.

They walked into the living room his Thoughts racing thinking about telling her that He could see Monsters too which would make her feel better but honestly, it wouldn't be true he'd never seen anything like that but if he lied he could make sure she didn't feel alone. Though him not seeing any monsters didn't mean he wouldn't one day Rachel was a special human that could see completely through the mist like Ariadne when God reincarnated and said the world energies would mix with him so odds are he was connected to the gods in some way. That brought on a whole new line of thought of course He knew his dad was but his mom knew very little about her.

'could I...' Damien thought to himself.

"Shit..."He muttered to himself though Rachel had heard him instantly giggling. The way most little kids laugh when they hear a bad word.

"Sorry I shouldn't be using such bad language around lady," Damien said to her. That brings out a grimace on her tiny face as she didn't like being called a lady because it was what her dad called her when she was in trouble.

"Don't call me lady, you weirdo" Rachel huffs." And don't worry My daddy curses a lot so I know most of them,"

"well I won't call you Lady if you don't call me Wierdo" Damien says back. she tilts her head to the side thinking about it.

"Deal" She responds and they shake on it.

Damien decided not to tell her He knew about the monsters since he couldn't think of a way of bringing it up without her asking questions he wouldn't be able to answer without tell her he knew about the future. So He decided instead to befriend her and maybe one day she would trust him enough to tell her While we watched tv I started to think about what that would mean if PJO was real.

'Since I'm Rachel is a little less than a year older than me and she was a bit older than Percy in the books. I'm probably around the same age as Percy Which means Percy's 16th birthday is in 2012 and the lightning thief isn't until the summer of 2008 That means I could probably help Annabeth, Thalia, and Luke get to camp in about a year from now if I somehow get a weapon that will hurt monsters(the blasters from the mogs will probably do it or maybe I could convince Number one and/or Crayton's chimera after I save them) but For now, I Should focus on saving the Loric and training for the next three years until then.' Damien thought.

We had a lot of fun joking around. Rachel liked to read so we talked about books a little but she was also Seven so she hasn't read much. By the time my uncle, Simon, and Mr.Daree were done the food had arrived and Mr.Daree spent the whole meal kissing up to Uncle Simon apparently he had chosen to just throw money at Mr. Dare to keep him silent about the warehouse we were buying from him that would soon be the home of The loric's ship if we got janus. He even said that it would be off the books, The father and daughter soon left with a matching pair of bright smiles Mr. Dare because of the money and Rachel had made a friend.

" Try to Financially support Mr. Dare Turning from Industrialization No Questions Asked," Damien said to his Uncle Simon when they were finally alone.

"why?" He asked with a look of confusion.

"It'll be important to the future and It's a No Questions asked," Damien says Thinking about How Rachel would grow to hate that her Father hurt the wild and helped kill the God of the wild Pan. If They were in Business with him it would put a lot of strain on their relationship but if he turned her father away from that Industrialist lifestyle with a more lucrative and less destructive field they could be seen as heroes in her eyes. A little manipulative but he truly wanted to help her.

"I didn't know you were such a bleeding heart environmentalist and You haven't won Yet we don't have confirmation of bird," he said with a raised eyebrow. He guessed simon thought Damien was doing it to save the environment.

"I'm not just... please," Damien said exasperated. Seeing Damiens seriousness he relented with his signature sigh.

"Fine Kiddo I'll take your word for it," Simon said after a while. His phone started to ring. Damien watched him as he was on the call as his features changed comically going through a range of different emotions. He paused after he got off the phone.

"That was the PI we had on Eric Bird he found Janus. You were right." He said it as it pained him to admit. Damien knew they would find him but there couldn't possibly find him at a better moment. He started laughing at his uncle who looked so dejected.

" Shut up you little Con Man," He said hitting me lightly on the head. It took him a couple of seconds to collect himself.

"let's go to meet Him before he ends up getting Himself caught in a different way than Eric Bird," Damien said after my fit of laughter stopped.

"We leave in an hour I'll go inform Mike and Ike," Simon said to his nephew and abruptly walked off. "I'll be there in a minute to help you pack,"

" Cool, Good idea," Damien said as he started heading to his room to start packing. Damien was looking forward to finally telling Mike and Ike since It was exhausting having to sneak around all the time.
