Treasure in disguise

All of them started running towards the 3 goblins. The other 2 goblins too came towards them running.

"Kyle, remember when we fought those bastards outside when we were at school," Max shouted towards Kyle. Kyle thought a little and his eyes shone, he understood and nodded.

They went towards one of the goblins, Kyle took the initiative to attack and swung his bat towards the dagger in the goblin's hand.

It connected and they both started to swing at each other. When the goblin was busy with Kyle, Max sneaked behind the goblin and swing the bat with all his might on the goblin's head.

It successfully hit its head making it fall with blood oozing out. Kyle took the opportunity to swing the bat again at the head directly on the wound to make it kill him this time. And they were successful as it started screeching in pain before it went limp.

When Kyle saw it again, he felt guilty to kill it but when he remembered the fight they were having head-on, it was always trying to kill him by trying to attack the head or any vital. He was pulled back by his thoughts when a notification sounded.

[Congratulations for killing a level 1 Brown Goblin, EXP gained +10]

They both took a deep breath, staying silent for a minute. Kyle looked at Joey's group to see their situation.

They heaved a sigh of relief to see them fighting a goblin with 4 of them together, he could see the corpse of one of the goblins all battered on the ground. They grouped on a small goblin together and killed it by getting it bleed out on its own through the cuts they put from their blades.

Their synergy was too good to be true, while they fought with a large number, not a single one of them was out of breath or injured.

They shrugged and to the goblin's core, It felt disgusting but they were used to it. Kyle gave the core to Max as he had none left.

"Hey look at this" Joey said flaunting the knife in his hand cheekily. Kyle got excited and took a knife too. It felt better in hand than the rusted bat that scratched his hand again and again.

"That was easy, you know either than leaving the thought that we killed a human-looking creature today haha," Joey said which made the mood a little gloomy. Kyle looked towards the fascinating vertical crack line in the air. He used the inspect skill on it and didn't know what to think.

Space Crack

It is a crack connecting the 2nd floor of a prominent tower. It spews out Creatures every 12 hours from the floor they are connected with. By entering the tower, you can't leave it till completing the 10th floor. If not able to complete, the crack will disappear from the original place but If completed, It leads to the permanent settlement of a tower gate instead of a crack.

Time until next wave 10hours 56 minutes 10 seconds

Until gate disappears 1 year 11 months

"This is so good, it feels like a treasure itself" Kyle said confusing everyone.

"See it like this, if we come here every 12 hours, we will find these level 1 goblins probably, if we kill them our level will increase quickly. Take it like a grinding place."

"Yeah, Kyle got a point here, I think Kyle and I killed a goblin together so we got 10 exp each, so killing 4 more and we will level up." Max said seriously.

"Ya....we can second on that, we got 5 EXP from killing one and 10 EXP total from killing both of them" Joey said while looking at the crack, he had another thought in his mind. " I think we should make a safe place near this crack, If some idiot gets inside the crack, It may lead to it's disappearance"

"Hm...You got a point here, its also gonna disappear on it's own in about 2 years. We should not let anyone else near it. Hear me out, let's observe the place for 2 days, after all the scouting we should get the gist if it's safe living here or not." said Kyle solemnly to which everyone nodded.

They talked a little more until they went inside the university again. They reached a inside and said farewell. Kyle and max reached directly inside their room to see all the girls looking at them.

"Max..!" Maria said while embracing Max with all her strength.

"Uhh...I also came right now, where is my hug?" Kyle said with a smile.

"Ohh..So you need a hug too~ Should I hug you~" Elena said with a teasing tone with her hands stretched out. Kyle became beet red, he was teasing Maria but he was the one who got teased. He changed the topic after telling everything to them. All of them started thinking.

"I'm hungry, it's been like 9hrs since I ate something." said Phloria, she was the ex-captain of their basketball team with good features. She was a year younger than Kyle, Max, Maria and Elina.

Kyle also felt hungry and went to look at the shop. He saw that the food item were expensive. He saw 50 roasted chicken leg the shop with each piece costing a single red core. Kyle asked all of them whether they eat non-veg or not, coincidentally all of them were omnivores. They all bought a single leg piece from the shop. When bought, the leg directly went inside one of the slot in their inventory.

They bought it out and got dumbfounded, the leg piece was as big as their arm.

"The fuck, I have never seen such a big leg piece" Maria said with drooling mouth.

"But the description says chicken leg...? Let me check" Kyle started checking the description.

"Oh, this chicken is not from earth but from another planet, the chicken their is about 4 feet tall, it's a good thing, it's cheap and will make our stomach full in like quarter too" Kyle said with an excited look.

They all started eating with happy face, the atmosphere became vibrant in just a few seconds.
