The eyes of all of the players lit up in excitement when they heard the system message in their ears.

Calvin hurriedly opened up the skill tab of his characters to check out the skills he obtained.

'Ohh its pretty basic skills. Kinda obvious though since its still early game.' Calvin thought to himself.

Calvin then tried checking out his class to see if there was any description about it.

[Rogue - O]

The class that is known to be the most difficult to deal with not only because of their speed, but also because of their craftiness and ruthlessness when it comes to doing things.

'Not much to be said about it.' Calvin thought and as he moved his body to stretch he noticed something.

'But now that I think of it, I felt much lighter compared to before. Is this because of the +5 in agility from Nimble Body? If that's so, then damn this is so realistic and cool. I could actually feel myself getting stronger.'

Calvin spent the next minutes moving his body and feeling the changes while he waited for Marko.

After waiting for the players to check out their skills, Marko said, "As you can see, your now all rogues. As simple as that. Now were gonna explain some more things before we let you off in your own."

Marko and the other NPCs soon started teaching more things that the player must know. Most of what they told were the common sense when it comes to games so Calvin easily understood what they all said.

After that was done, someone from the group of instructors stepped up and said. "Now that we're all finished with the explanation. You guys now need to continue on your journey to become stronger so you can help us in fighting our enemies. We'll help you get started right away by giving you a task. The task involves killing 10 monsters outside the village. It doesn't matter what kind of monsters you kill. Just kill 10, get some proof and then get back to us and you will receive a reward. From then on will be up to you to explore and discover many new things as you continue down your paths."

[Quest "Start of the journey" accepted.]

[Start of the Journey - F]

Kill 10 monsters of any kind outside the village and collect their loot as proof. Show it to the instructors to receive your rewards.

Rewards:

- 50 coppers

- 100 exp

Penalty: None

Duration: None

Calvin got excited as he looked at the quest he received. The same reaction appeared on the others and some even appeared to be impatient to rush out of the building already and get to killing.

But before some of them could even move, Marko interrupted, "Surely you don't plan on fighting monsters without a weapon?"

At his words, those players who were about to run suddenly stopped and got red in the face as the others laughed quietly.

Some of the instructors shook their head in disappointment. Marko sighed, "You can pick your weapon there. The weapon will be yours from now on and you can't get another one for free so choose wisely."

He pointed to a rack filled with different kind of weapons. There were swords, daggers, axes, bows and many more.

Some players couldn't help but be confused about this as they all thought that all rogues can only use daggers.

Eventually, a guy stood out and asked, "Uhmm may I ask something?"

Marko nodded at him so he continued, "Aren't all rogues supposed to use only daggers?"

Marko shook his head, "Nope. There is no limit to what kind of weapon you wanna use. If you want to even wield a huge hammer as a rogue, then you are free to do so."

Marko looked at all the players and said in a loud voice. "Remember this players. You should forget about that common sense that you have learned from your world. In Genesis, there is no common sense. You are free to do anything that you want. Nobody is forcing you to follow a certain path. You all have different paths. That's why don't blindly follow the norm. That's all. Now go and pick your weapons already."

After saying that, all of the instructors left to do their own things, leaving behind the players who were in deep thought.

Calvin smiled excitedly as he said, 'This is even more interesting. Judging by his words, anything can be done as long as we want. So doesn't that mean that the normal rules that was in previous games isn't applicable here. Then that just means more fun. Damn it looks like I won't get bored anytime soon.'

As he thought of that, he quickly made his way to the weapons in order to choose his first weapon just like what the other players are doing.

Looking at all the weapons in front of him, he thought long and hard on what to pick. After some time, he finally picked one.

He stored it in his inventory and with excitement on his face, he jogged his way outside the building while thinking in his mind.

'I can't wait to try and fight for real for the first time in my life.'
