Attack 100, Defense 0

The Goblin's Cave is the first dungeon that was accessible to all the players in the game. This information was also told by NDO when they released Genesis as part of the beginner's guide that they willingly shared.

As for what dungeons are in Genesis, it was basically the same thing as in any other games. They were a special place where a specific number of players could grind mobs and bosses for exp and loots one at a time and it can be repeated for as long as one wants with the only limit is that there is a cooldown period before they can raid th dungeon again.

This is one of the features that all players whether solo or in a guild loves. That's why most of the time the dungeons will be swarmed with players at any time of the day.

Like what is currently happening to the entrance to the dungeon in village 69, the Goblin's Cave. All types of players wearing different kinds of equipment could be seen and along with shouts coming from all directions, the place is rather lively and chaotic at the same time.

Some of them were selling their items, others were looking for players to party up and raid the dungeons, but what caught most of the attention are players who are representatives of their guild and looking to recruit new members.

This is the scene that Calvin and Madelyne saw when they reached this place. Madelyne was surprised at how many players gathered here but Calvin was only surprised by a little because he already somewhat expected this since he knew exactly how helpful dungeons are to the players.

Looking at the players who were trying to form a party, Calvin turned towards Madelyne and asked. "Uhh mom who should we ask first?"

On their way here, Calvin had already told Madelyne everything he knew about dungeons and they even looked at the forums about Goblin's Cave to be more prepared.

Since they were a bit behind most of the players who started playing the game the moment it launched and continued playing without little breaks, the first clear for the dungeon had already been achieved long ago that's why guides have for it have already appeared in the forums.

Usually a dungeon takes an entire party with different roles in order to complete it. But since there were only the two of them, Calvin asked Madelyne whether they should look for a party.

Madelyne at first agreed to it because from what the guides in the forums had said, bosses in dungeons were a bit more trickier than normal bosses that you can find in the world. That's why the guide heavily recommended to at least fill 4 players in a party to have a higher chance of completing the duration.

It would be unfortunate if they died in the dungeon because even though the death penalty in dungeons is heavily reduced, it would still reduce current players exp by 5% for every death.

Even though they were far better than the average players, Madelyne still chose to party up with others just to be safe.

But now, looking at the chaotic scene and noticing the stares that many players especially coming from men, Madelyne quickly changed her mind and spoke without hesitation while looking at Calvin in the eye.

"Let's just go with us two. Is that ok to you Cal?"

Noticing her look and the stares around them, Calvin immediately knew why she said that as he agreed as well without giving a fuss. He'd rather take a risk than to be in a troublesome party. Besides, he didn't really want to interact with so many people if he can help it.

The two decisively walked towards the entrance of the dungeon without bothering to talk to others who were trying to initiate a conversation mainly to Madelyne.

Once they were standing in the very front of the cave, Calvin who was the leader of the party heard a system alert.

[Ding! Please pick a difficulty for the dungeon.]

[Normal]

[Hard]

[Hell]

The dungeons have a difficulty system about them and as one would expect, the higher the difficulty, the bigger the sufferi- the harder it is to complete and it comes with greater rewards. There were even unique items that one can only get in higher difficulties.

Most of the time, dungeons have three difficulties which are the three listed above but there are some that has more than 3. Moreover, the cooldown for each difficulty in a dungeons is separate to each other.

"Uh mom what difficulty do we choose?" Calvin whispered to Madelyne.

Madelyne thought for a second before smiling at him and said. "Wanna go hell mode right away?"

His eyes widened in surprise and asked, "You sure?"

"Why not? Wouldn't it be more fun?" Madelyne shrugged as if it was only a simple matter before a grin appears on her lips.

"Besides its been getting boring you know. We can easily kill a monster of the same level now even if its an elite. I want to feel some challenge so let's go hell mode."

"Also don't think that I don't know what your thinking. You want hell mode in the first place right?"

"..." Calvin was speechless and could only smile helplessly.

Seeing that, Madelyne smiled even more. "Hmph I knew it. You want to get stronger that's why you want to take the risk."

Madelyne sighed before grabbing onto Calvin's arms while continuing to smile and whispered. "Go ahead Cal. I'll support you on your decisions. Have some confidence on yourself ok?"

Calvin felt warm, sweet and happiness in his heart hearing her words that he blurted out unconsciously. "Thanks mom and... I love you."

A bright smile appeared on Madelyne's face feeling happy inside making her blush for a bit and said in a sweet voice. "Love you too honey."

Calvin while to himself while blushing as well. 'Fuck! Mom is too beautiful! Stop pounding boy! She's my mom for god's sake.'

Releasing a fake cough, Calvin turned his head away and chose the hell difficulty. Seeing his shy reaction, Madelyne thought with a smile. 'How cute.'

After choosing, the two didn't waste anymore time as they chose to teleport inside the dungeon while disregarding the warning coming from the system about going in with only two players.

Their bodies sticking close to each other was soon covered by a flash of light before disappearing, leaving behind many players with gritted teeth and cursing the "couple" in their minds feeling so much jealousy especially from men.
