Chapter 43

Liam lay on his bed looking at the ceiling. He just couldn't forget how she looked, it was like her face and everything about was imprinted on his brain. Damn that girl has succeeded in turning his brain into a mashed potatoe it's always impossible to get her out of his head.

"You will be the death of me one day Cassandra..." Liam said with a smile.

Cassandra lay on her bed unable to sleep... Each time she closed her eyes, memories of their dance was all she kept seeing. Liam was the real distraction there. The look on his face when he saw her... His smile, his jet black hair and outfit. Everything was just so perfect.

"Liam... How could you do this to me? You should at least let me sleep." Cassandra said with a frustrated tune. Just then her phone rang. He was calling.

"Hey babe" Liam spoke immediately she picked up the call.

"Hey, how are you doing?" Cassandra asked.

"I'm doing great. What about you?" Liam replied.

"I'm not fine" Cassandra replied.

"What's wrong?" Liam asked.

"You... What have you done to me? At least let me sleep..." Cassandra replied and Liam burst into an uncontrollable laughter.

"I am innocent I didn't do anything to you. You did something to me instead" Liam said.

"Stop trying sound innocent Liam" Cassandra replied.

"Ok, ok... It's because you are madly in love with me" Liam said making Cassandra's mind and head go totally blank for a while. For some reasons her heart started thumping loudly.

"Uhmmm... Good n... night Liam" Cassandra managed to say.

"Sleepy?" Liam asked.

"Y... Yes" Cassandra replied. Liam knew she was not sleepy, she is just somehow shy.

"Oh ok... Good night" Liam said.

"Bye" Cassandra replied.

"Cassandra..." Liam called out with a very soft tune.

"Yes..." Cassandra replied. Liam was quite for a while before he spoke.

"I love you..." He said. Cassandra was immobile, she wasn't expecting that.

"Sleep tight" Liam said and hung up.

Those words "I love you" kept ringing in Cassandra's head and sleeping became more harder. She was just a total mess at that moment.

"Laura, I think we should make this marriage preparations snappy." Mr. Robert said.

"Robert... Do we have to rush things?" Laura asked.

"Of course bitch, its either we get married or Diana should be engaged to Liam" Mr. Robert said.

"Liam?" Laura asked.

"Yes... The ball is in your court. Make a choice and let me know" Mr. Robert said with his usual annoying smirk.

"Robert, You know Liam won't agree to that" Laura said.

"Scared of your son?" Mr. Robert asked.

"No... You know how Liam is" Laura replied. Mr. Robert burst into a villainous laugh and left.

Laura stood there for a while. Why would Mr. Robert suggest Liam and Diana getting engaged. 'I thought you love me' she said inwardly. 'Or does he think I am not serious about him? Well then I'll show him how serious I am' Laura added inwardly with a mischievous smile on her face.

Liam was in his room playing a game when someone knocked on his door.

"Come in" Liam said and two people came in. Mr. Leonard and Gary.

"Uncle Leonard... What the heck is he doing here?" Liam was so upset at the sight of Gary.

"Calm down Liam... He wants to talk to you" Mr. Leonard explained.

"Liam I am so sorry about the other day. I was in dark, but now I know the truth. Please forgive me." Gary apologized. Liam was quite wondering if he should forgive him or not. When Mr. Leonard noticed that Liam won't say anything, he told him everything. After hearing the story, Liam understood everything and forgave Gary.

"Now... Let's work together to bring the beast down" Gary said and both Liam and his uncle agreed.
