Chapter 28...Grandmaster

I put both my hands on the sword handle and took my stance as I tried to do what the skill said, imbue my will into the sword, for a while there was no action, but I did feel something.

Slowly a bluish aura started arising from the sword I was using,I knew for a fact that this wasn't magic, my stats still shows magic not being my thing.

'All in due time, maybe I am a late bloomer' I truly had that thought, who knows what I might achieve with this system.

I had a hunch and with a little shout I swung my sword at the tree, a wave of energy lashed out, destroying the tree and splitting it.

'Oh my gosh, Finally! I have some ranged attacks, haha!'

Although according to the skill I wasn't able to display the essence of what a sword is in my attack, it didn't mean I wasn't excited, just meant that I could become even stronger.

"Although my attacks don't have an attribute, except for the the fact that a sword means sharp attacks, Axe means a Destructive attack, so does the hammer, a spear should display a piercing attack.Shield will give me some kind of defensive boost I guess, there are so many weapons and their natures.i will have to either grind my ass...or I can just level it up, hehe" I couldn't help but let out a laugh of happiness

I will be training like this for this half of year, once I turn 12 , I will leave, I will also have collected enough magic tools to absorb, hopefully enough to give me another dope skill.

God knows one day I might become a fugitive as I am not using my real identity, false documents can only take you so far. I practised for a while and by the end of the day, I was able to learn how to deliver a good old slash attack, delivering attacks that cleanly cut my enemies in half from Afar.

I reckon the range and power will increase once I train the skill.

'Maybe if I fight against an enemy that can regenerate itself as I keep cutting it, that would be great

I entered the city again, making my way to the shop as it served as both my resting place and a way for me to sell my goods...

A week into the training sessions and I realized that some of the monsters that would give me a hard time were now very weak and I would get rid of them very easily so I started taking on two or sometimes even three Evolved monsters from time to time.

My favourites were Shadow wolves, Rock Golems and Fiery Vultures.

I would try and catch all of them together to get the best out of my training, and boy it did wonders for me

Shadow Wolves could move almost instantly with their control over shadow and launch attacks that would leave me bloody, ot trained my endurance to the max, it becomes harder to increase your stats once they reach the maximum of your rank, but I was somehow able to increase it.

The Rock golems were the diamonds in the rough that I was always looking for as they were my best training partners, helping me train my weapons, I gained three levels in a month from them for my Weapons Grandmaster skill

The Fiery Vultures we're eagles but everyone calls them vultures, I don't know why, but they have the power over fire and the ability to fly,

Their speed is also morning to joke at not to mention they also help me in learning how to fight against flying enemies.

I usually take on two out of these three monsters at once, I have never done a 3 v 1 against these cause of Danger sense and predator telling me not to, they don't speak as per se, but I do understand the feeling.

Sometimes I find these Shadow wolves in a pack and boy does it get interesting for me.

Just like today, I was able to find three Shadow Wolves, I ambushed them, killing one of them from the get-go, which caused the other two to become enraged.

After a bit of difficulty, I was able to get rid of them as well.

Another thing the Grandmaster skill has bestowed me with is the meditation skill, it allows me to heal faster and recover my stamina,

Genius acted one day after I fought a bunch of these guys and helped me attain a skill from Weapons Grandmaster

I put my loot in the inventory and make my way back to the city, I need to get back before dawn.it's not safe in this place as these wolves become strong at night time.

After running at my top speed for twenty minutes, and breaking no sweat, I was back at the shop.

Opening the door I was greeted with the sight of my employee cleaning the items as he looked at me, seeing me he gave me a greeting before going to the back.

I put down the backpack I was carrying, taking out all the materials I gathered today, My employee, whose name is Momo, I know right?

She hands me a glass of lemonade,

'Hah!/Nothings beats the cold lemonade after a day of fighting '

"Anything interesting happen today Momo," I ask her as I gulp down the rest of the drink, putting it away I start categorizing the loot that I will be selling,

Some things just can't be sold openly so I also dabble in a little bit of black market, and some things I give to Mr Zrion in return for some off-the-market Magic tools

"Nothing much, Mr Zrion came in today and asked about you, I told him you were out and wouldn't come back till dawn so he left, he was acting a bit weird," she told me.

"It's nothing to worry about, though if the authorities ask you anything, just tell them he comes once in a while and buys...just mention some normal stuff," I told her.

"Got it" she replied

"Alright, take these and make sure to put them accordingly" I give her the materials and lean back on my chair

'Sigh, it's nice to have someone work for you and relax,I am so glad I took her in I couldn't help but breathe out as I looked at the fifteen years old Momo work around the shop.

She was close to death when I found her, lying among her dead family as a Pack of Fire Wolfs were about to eat her alive.

She had nobody to care for her and I couldn't just turn her away when I found her a few days later asking for alms on the street,I am not a Samaritan or a hero or anything but it doesn't mean I can ignore those that I know.

Her family were people that I knew because of my business, long story short,I took her in and offered her a job in return for her staying here

'Not to mention, she can keep running this place once I leave,I will transfer the ownership to her so that the authorities have no reason to close it and catch her, I am using false papers after all.'
