The Mortality of The Immortal

Cold smoke started to surround Alice's house, as Frostbite slowly circled the house and made the temperature lower than zero. He slowly entered the house through the window and started searching for his target in every room. He looked around and saw that the whole place was properly decorated and clean and his cold feet are creating water puddles on the floor. He looked upstairs and saw some blue light coming out of a room and slowly walked towards the room and entered inside the room. He saw that Alice was quietly sleeping on her bed and was quite an easy target for a giant monster like him. He mumbled, "Abigail died in the hands of this puny girl? I can squeeze her with my bare hands and I came here ready with all my powers. Anyway, little girl, it's time to die." Frostbite turned his hand into a giant hammer and hitted on Alice's head. But just as the hammer touched Alice's head, the hammer broke into several pieces and scattered all over the floor. Frostbite mumbled shocked, "Impossible. How can it happen?" He transformed his hand into an axe and swinged it towards Alice's neck, but again his hand broke into several pieces.

Frostbite roared in anger and transformed both his hands into two big maces and swinged it towards Alice, but this time a kick on his stomach threw him on the floor. Alice abruptly opened her eyes and looked at Frostbite who was still grunting in pain. Alice picked up Frostbite and threw him downstairs and then jumped on him. Alice stomped on his head and crushed it into several pieces, but Frostbite assembled his head and caught Alice by the neck and threw her on the wall. Alice rose and started running towards Frostbite, but Frostbite caught her and threw her on the table breaking it into several pieces. Frostbite transformed his hand into knives and thrusted it in Alice's thigh.

Alice caught Frostbite by his head and hitted him on the head with her head and then punched him on the face. Frostbite rolled back and rose and said, "You cannot defeat, mortal. Surrender now and I will spare your life." Alice smiled, "You surrender and I will give you a swift death." Frostbite laughed, "So, this is what you want, ha. Okay, don't tell that I had not warned you." Frostbite turned into a yeti and started running towards Alice. Alice rolled and managed to escape from his hands. Alice took out the spear and thrusted it in his leg and melted his leg into water. Frostbite fell on the ground and started screaming in pain as Alice jumped to thrust the spear inside his chest. But, Frostbite was quick and rolled over and Alice's spear got struck in the ground. Frostbite kicked Alice on the face and she fell on the ground and some pieces of glass cut her face.

Frostbite laughed and said, "Real shame that you cannot rebuild your face like me." Alice pulled out the glass and crumbled them into ashes. Frostbite ran towards her and punched her in the face, but Alice returned the punch with a straight kick on his thigh and an elbow on his broken leg. She then jumped and landed on his chest with her knee and then double axe handle punched on his chest. Frostbite threw some broken ice pieces from his mouth and smiled, "Is it all you got, weakling?" Alice caught him by his leg and started spinning in circles and then threw him on the wall. Frostbite smiled, "This walls and floors won't even scratch me a little." Alice smiled, "Blabber us much as you want, Frostbite. Your end is imminent." Frostbite asked, "How do you know my name?" Alice smiled, "Look into my eyes, Frostbite. You will see your death."

Frostbite's smile turned pale when Alice transformed into Aliyah. Frostbite said angrily, "I should have known that you will come to avenge your sister's death." Aliyah said, "You choosed power upon love and loyalty. Traitors like you don't deserve to live." Alice pulled out the spear from the floor and thrusted it inside his chest. Frostbite said, "You will not survive, Aliyah. Xao Chang will come one day to take the spear." Aliyah said grimly, "Yes, he will. I am eagerly waiting for that day." She closed her fist and punched Frostbite on the temple as he scattered over the floor in a waxy and sticky liquid. Aliyah looked at Frostbite's remains and sighed, "Only if you were loyal that day and had not opened the gates, things would have been so better and peaceful." She took the spear and hitted it on the floor two times and everything changed back to normal and Frostbite's remains disappeared in the form of smoke. Aliyah went upstairs and lied on the bed and closed her eyes, as she slowly exited Alice's body.

She looked at Alice and smiled, "Who would have thought that this small girl could endure the powerful attacks of Frostbite and Abigail? She is good, but needs proper guidance and training along with a quiet and stable mind. Frostbite was right. Xao Chang will come one day seeking for the spear and if Alice doesn't have a strong body and a firm will, she won't be able to withstand his power and defeat him." Aliyah bowed and kissed Alice's forehead and vanished into purple smoke.

Bacca was sitting on the floor of the dojo and was in deep mediation. Kenchi and Kayuba were as usual sitting near him and doing their personal stuff. Narryo, one of Bacca's personal servants said, "Master Kayuba. Master Bacca told you meet him in private after the mediation." Kayuba said, "Okay. But, I will not stay for too long as I have to go and meet my friend, Frostbite." Narryo said grimly, "Actually, we got news earlier this morning that Frostbite died. Someone melted him down." Kayuba said, "Okay, I will stay." Narryo bowed and went away. Bacca slowly opened his eyes and looked at Kayuba who sitting there with sadness all over his face. Bacca said softly, "Looks like Narryo has told you what has happened with your accomplice. I don't want you to weep over such trivial matters and focus on how that spear will come to our hands." Kayuba wiped his eyes and said, "If a powerful and dangerous demon like Frostbite couldn't do anything and gets martyred, I don't know what to say."

Bacca looked at Kenchi and asked, "Why are you so quiet today?" Kenchi said grimly, "I'm worried about what will happen in the future. Both Abigail and Frostbite were far more powerful to defeat any mortal no matter how strong he is. But, that mortal killed them like they were nothing. So, I'm a little nervous." Bacca thinked for a moment and said, "You are right. We cannot underestimate that mortal's power now. Whoever he or she is, sending more demons will be counterproductive. That's why, I have decided to contact Assayah and discuss the plan with him." Kenchi and Kayuba said together, "Don't." Bacca asked, "Why?" Kayuba replied, "Assayah is already quite arrogant as he easily completes his job and has been in a powerful position in the mortal's land for years." Bacca smiled, "That's why we need him more now. He knows the tricks of the mortals and can prove to be a better help than other demons in getting the spear." Kenchi said, "Okay. But, he cannot insult us." "You are already below the level of shamelessnees and there is no point in insulting you any further." Assayah appeared and bowed before Bacca and said, "I have already listened to your plea and I think that I can be of some assistance." Bacca said, "I'm listening."

Assayah said, "I know a guy who can.." Kayuba said suprised, "A guy? A mortal? Were you really listening, Assayah? That person sliced two demons like butter and you are saying that a mortal will of our help." Assayah said, "I really didn't expected it from you. You spend so much time between people and you know very well that how much people have become nowadays with nuclear weapons and sculpted politics. Besides, the person I'm talking about is no ordinary person but a person gifted with the bangles of Kesha which enhances the power of the bearer by ten times." Kayuba said, "Bangles of Kesha are not something you gift to your favorites. If they are not properly controlled they can create havoc and destruction." Assayah said, "Don't worry. He has already controlled the power of the bangles." Bacca asked shocked, "Who is that mortal?" Assayah replied, "Ralph Lundsen. He was ex-military and got paralyzed in some war. His wife left him and he was about to end his life, when I give him the bangles and helped him to take out his evil character and he killed his wife and lover and became my servant." Kenchi said, "I feel that entrusting such a heavy job on a mortal's shoulders is not a great idea. So, I want Phantom to accompany Ralph." Assayah said, "Ralph doesn't like mates."

Kenchi said, "He won't be his mate. His job is to work parallel to him and keep an eye on Ralph." Bacca looked at Kayuba and asked, "What's your take on this idea?" Kayuba looked at Kenchi and said, "Phantom was the best before he got excluded and still is. If Kenchi wants to trust my student, I'm happy to fulfill Kenchi's little wish." Bacca said, "Okay. Ralph and Phantom will keep a tab on that mortal and when the situation is in favor, we will use our whole power and attack the mortal's land." Assayah bowed before Bacca and soon disappeared. Bacca said, "You two go and make Phantom ready for tomorrow. He surely is still quite angry with us." Bacca closed his eyes and started mediating.

Kayuba caught Kenchi by the collar and said angrily, "I know what you are trying to do, you immoral bastard. But, Phantom is too smart to fall into your dirty traps." Kenchi pushed Kayuba and said, "You have trapped Phantom in a never-ending circle of pain and misery. I'm only releasing him from the burden and injustice that his master did to him." Kayuba said, "He is alive only because of my decision to keep him away from the Monastery. Bacca would have slaughtered him that day if I had not intervened." Kenchi said, "You are the one who encouraged him to make physical relationships with mortal women. Because of you, he doesn't know that he has a son." Kayuba said, "He should never know it anyway. His son is going to die a young death and it's better that he doesn't get any more stigmatized."

Kenchi said grimly, "You cannot keep a demon with his potential tied to a tree. I really don't want to say but he is much better than Abigail and I know that you are secretly very proud of it." Kayuba said, "Don't butter me, Kenchi. Your plan of sending Phantom again to the mortal's land will have some dire consequences." Kayuba transformed into red mist and went away. Kenchi smiled, "Kayuba, you are a fool. You don't understand politics. Nevermind, you were never enough smart anyway." Kenchi whistled and went away....
