A Day Back To Remember

Alice woke up from her sleep and looked here and there. Though, her scars were not visible, but the pain was still in her body. Alice looked at her phone screen and saw that her face was looking a little pale as if someone sucked blood from her face. Alice mumbled, "I didn't know mosquitoes has become so powerful nowadays." She went to the bathroom and brushed her teeth and walked inside the room, where Aliyah was standing on the floor and was holding two plates on her both hands. Alice came near her and asked, "Did you prepared breakfast for me?" Aliyah smiled, "Look yourself." Alice raised the plates and saw that one has a neatly fried salmon fish and on another, there was some rice with a raw egg spread all over it. Alice looked at Aliyah and asked, "Where did you get the salmon fish?" Aliyah put the plates on the table and said, "I actually hunted the fish from the nearby river at the sunrise, especially for you." Alice smiled, "A salmon fish as a reward? That's something new." Aliyah asked, "Why do you think it's a reward?" Alice replied, "Because, I defeated Cindy yesterday at the judo match." Aliyah smirked, "But, Principal Shepherd stopped the match in midway and declared it void." Alice said grimly, "But, I did the ending kick on her face. Didn't you see?" Aliyah said, "Oh, that kick. It was mediocre. I could always do better than that everyday. It's a shame that you are feeling so lifted about it." Alice asked annoyed, "Then why did you made the dish for me?"

Aliyah smiled, "Silly, do you only eat food when you perform some impossible stunt? Don't you eat it as a part of nutrition and body health?" Alice said, "I don't eat too heavy in breakfast." Aliyah said, "That's the problem with your generation. Eating less and working more, you are pushing yourself towards poor health and weak immunity." Alice asked, "So, you think eating salmon and raw egg rice will make me invincible?" Aliyah said grimly, "The food is getting cold, Alice. Eat it." Alice took the spoon and started eating the raw egg rice and took small bites from the salmon. Alice said, "It's actually quite tasty compared to the salmon made in the restaurants." Aliyah said, "Yes, I boiled it to the eligible temperature and then boiled with the right amount of oil. My grandma taught me this."

Alice asked, "What happened to your mother?" Aliyah said grimly, "She was a queen." Alice looked at her and said, "I can understand. When parents are more responsible to their work rather than their offspring, it's gets tough for the child to get parental love." Aliyah smiled, "I too used to complain like this to everyone, until one day mom heard my words. She came to me and took me in her lap and said, "I heard that you were complaining to others that your parents doesn't love you. Is it true? But, I don't see any deficit in my love for you. Listen, Aliyah. Everyone has a duty to do in his or her every stage of life, be it a queen or a fisherwoman. I don't stay away from you because I don't love you enough, it is just because I know that you deserve more than my love. You deserve love from the nanny who washes your dirty ass or that cook who prepares food for you and also that bodyguard that stands tirelessly beside you when you sleep in your silky bed. One day, you will become a queen like me and then that love that you have earned in the years will accumulate and turn into loyalty. A queen only able to rule if her subjects respects and believes in her decisions."

My mother never took me into her lap again as I was sent to the training academy to learn art of war and only returned when I was mature." Alice said, "Your mother seems more crueler and stone hearted than my mother." Aliyah said grimly, "That's why she was the queen that I could never become." Alice said, "I have to go and meet with my friends. They must be dying to ask me about last day." Aliyah said, "Your friends are not going anywhere. But, time is. Since, fate has begin your transformation way faster than expected, I have to increase my speed too." Alice asked, "What do you mean?" Aliyah said, "We are going to the Barren Mountains to have a quick training session." Alice asked, "Barren Mountains? That is almost a week away from us." Aliyah smiled, "Not, if we can fly." Alice asked, "I can fly?" Aliyah smiled, "You will be, if you take your training sessions attentively." Alice asked, "What do I have to do?" Aliyah said, "First of all, wear some cold clothes and if neccessary take some food as we are going to stay atleast three days there." Alice said, "Okay." She hurried downstairs and started packing her stuff. Aliyah moved her hands in the air and purple smoke started to circle and soon took the form of Alice. Aliyah asked, "You know what you have to do?" Alice shaked her head in approval and vanished again into purple smoke.

Aliyah looked at Alice who was laden with heavy clothes and was wearing a thick muffler around her neck. She asked, "Don't you need warm clothes?" Aliyah laughed, "I'm a ghost, Alice. Anyway, I really wanted to use the teleportation method, but your weak body will blast into pieces if kept in the powerful rays. So, I'm using an age old technique. The sphere ball." Aliyah created a sphere ball around her and said, "Alice, come inside." Alice came inside and saw that the space there was way more than expected. There were sofa, tables and a sword stand. Alice asked, "How can such a small sphere has so much space?" Aliyah smiled, "You get one once you could make your own sphere ball. And the best thing about it is that you can customize it according to your desires." Alice smiled, "You are so powerful. Why you even need me?" Aliyah said, "Because, it is your fate to save the planet and I'm basically a dead magical ghost." Alice said, "Yes. But, can someone be more powerful than this?" Aliyah smiled, "Oh, sweetie. You have no idea how powerful someone can be." Alice asked, "Why don't you tell something about my enemy?" Aliyah looked at Alice and said, "Since, you have awaken so much desire, I won't throw water on it. Sit on the sofa and listen."

Alice sat on the sofa and Alice dimmed the lights. Aliyah said, "Many centuries before my birth, five men gathered around the mouth of a volcano to sacrifice a young girl to the greedy and evil demon god, Xao Lin. Legends say that Xao Lin awakens from sleep every year and desires for a young girl with whom he does intercourse and then eats her. If he satisfied by the sacrifice, he grants the man infinite life and invincible power and capabilities. The leader of that group was Xao Chang, who had already sacrificed hundreds of young women from neighbouring places and gained enormous power and youth. Holding the girl was Bacca, who like Xao Chang was an evil tribe chief who forcefully takes away young girls from the other tribes and kills anyone who stands in his way. The other three were Xao Chang's brothers, Xao Wan, Xao Min and Xao Hwang who were less powerful, but equally evil. Xao Chang was chanting some mantra sitting near the mouth of the volcano and Bacca was tightly holding that girl. Xao Hwang looked at that girl and whispered t o his brother Xao Min, "It's a shame that every year we have to sacrifice the most beautiful girl. Look at her. She is surely a good collection to any lord's harem." Xao Chang threw some lava on Hwang's feet and said, "The power that you have got from Xao Lin is far more appealing than any beauty." Xao Hwang said, "Yes. But, you and Bacca takes away all the rest and we are left with the prostitutes and farm girls." Bacca smiled, "A good man never complains about his lady." Xao Chang said, "Feed her some food. She will need energy to withstand the pain." Bacca grunted and brought a piece of half cooked leg of a wild boar and put it in front of her and said, "I don't have much of the boar anymore. I was planning to give it to my favorite girl tonight, but you can have it." The girl looked at the leg and said, "I don't eat meat. Please, take it away from me." Chang looked at Bacca and said, "Give her some fruits and throw away this leg. I don't want the place to stink of any blood."

Bacca threw the leg and told Xao Wan to bring some apples and peaches for the girl. Xao Wan flew and brought some apples and peaches and then washed them with water and put it on a banana leaf and said, "Eat fast, young lady. You don't have much time." The girl slowly took an apple and started eating it. She looked at Xao Wan and asked, "Why do you worship that evil god, Xao Lin? Books say that the Supreme God, Sumeria outcasted him from the heaven for his lecherous nature." Xao Chang heard the conversation and said, "Silence, silly woman. I won't heard a single word about Xao Lin from you." The girl smiled, "I don't fear death. I know Mother Manaca will retrieve me back to finish evil and terror from the Earth and kill monsters like you." Xao Chang said, "Let's see, then. Once, I do your sacrifice no one even your Mother Manaca can stop me from becoming the ruler of the Earth." Xao Chang took the girl in a gorilla press position and then threw her into the volcano. All of them sat around the mouth of the volcano and started mediating, as the lava slowly swallowed the girl. Xao Chang and Bacca could feel enormous power raging upwards from the belly of the volcano and before they could react, the volcano blasted into several pieces, throwing them thousands of feet down. Xao Chang slowly rose up and saw that Xao Wan and Xao Hwang died from the fall and Xao Min was severely injured. Xao Chang looked at Bacca and asked, "Where the hell did you kidnapped the girl from?" Bacca replied slowly, "I found her begging for alms outside the Manacan temple." Xao Chang looked at the volcano, whose lava was slowly turning into red blood and burned down the bodies of his brothers.

A red figure emerged from the volcano with a spear in her hand and threw it towards Xao Chang, which pierced through his heart and he turned into ashes. Bacca looked at the fate of his friend and started to run, but the red figure caught by his leg and ripped him into two pieces. People started to run towards the place and saw that bodies of Xao Chang and Bacca were lying on the ground and the volcano was ultimately destroyed. The people looked at the spear which was standing firmly on the ground and one of them started shouting, "Manaca! Manaca!" and soon everyone started shouting too. They took the spear and placed it inside their temple with outmost respect and care. They even declared this day as the 'Manacan Day' on which they make statues of Mother Manaca from the mixture of red soil and milk. As, they celebrated with joy far away they completely ignored that with the destruction of the volcano, Xao Lin was free and was fuming with anger.

He took the form of a dragon and put back life inside the dead bodies of Xao Chang, Bacca, Xao Min, Xao Wan and Xao Hwang. Xao Chang and Bacca were powerful enough to remain the same, but Xao Wan, Xao Hwang and Xao Min transformed into demons who later became Kenchi, Kayuba and Assayah. Xao Chang opened his eyes and saw Xao Lin and bowed before him. Xao Lin blowed fire on all of them and said weakly, "I may have been released from the curse of Sumeria, but with the destruction of the volcano and with my powerful lava turning into blood, I have became too weak to fight Manaca. I want you to bring me the girl which is blessed with the power of blood by Manaca and then I will devour her and become the Supreme Lord of Heaven and then I will crush both Sumeria and Manaca under my foot."

Xao Chang said, "As you wish, master." Xao Lin said, "Remember one thing, Xao Chang. That girl will be very strong for you and can easily kill you again, so I want you to wait for the right chance and mediate in the womb of the Earth and accumulate the power of Eternal fire and destruction. I will wait for you, Xao Chang. I will wait for you." Xao Lin slowly turned into ashes and ascended in the sky. Bacca asked, "What happened, Xao Chang?" Xao Chang said grimly, "He has been imprisoned by Sumeria." Xao Chang and his comrades went into deep mediation as they started to accumulate power to attack my tribe."

Alice asked, "What happened next? How were you involved if you weren't born that time?" Aliyah smiled, "You want to know the whole history of Manacan people in one night? But, aren't you hateful towards learning history?" Alice said grimly, "School history is boring. I want to know your history." Aliyah said, "You will get plenty of time and chance to learn about my family and history. In fact, you will relive in my time. But, for now sleep and train well. Xao Chang may be gone but he will return for the spear and for you." Alice wanted to ask more, but Aliyah put her into deep sleep. Aliyah looked at the forest below and mumbled, "Only if we had more time in our hands, I could have told you my sad and cold life story." She turned into purple smoke and vanished, as the sphere slowly moved forward tearing the fog.....
