Catastrophic Awakening

Alice and Aliyah quickly ran outside and tried to hold Ryder, but Gongamtei's power was much more than them combined and he easily threw Alice on a chair. Aliyah entered Alice's body and tried to punch Gongamtei, but Gongamtei easily dodged the punch and kicked Alice on the stomach sending her crashing on the altar. Gongamtei walked outside and then got inside a car and drove towards the gate. Elgin transformed into an elephant and tried to crash the car, but Gongamtei easily between his legs and went outside. Alice quickly went inside a car and started following Gongamtei who was speeding immensely towards Alice's house. Elgin jumped inside Alice's car and said, "He is heading for the spear. We have to stop him." Alice said with a loud grunt, "I already know what his intentions are." Elgin said, "We cannot stop if he keeps driving like this." Alice sighed, "I hope these actions doesn't do heavy damage."

Alice jumped out of the car and rolled on the ground. She then chanted a word and two powerful wings emerged from her shoulder. She flapped the wings hard and then started flying towards Gongamtei's car and then took out the spear and threw it on the tyre and the car flew in the air and crashed hard on the ground, scattering into several pieces. Gongamtei jumped out of the car and smiled. He extended his hand and a whip appeared in his hand and he threw it towards Alice. It caught Alice's right foot and then Gongamtei pulled her on the ground and threw her on a truck. Elgin transformed into a giant gorilla and started throwing cars and trucks at Gongamtei who easily sliced them with his whip. Gongamtei hitted the ground with his whip and a current ran towards Elgin and threw him miles away on a building. Gongamtei raised his hand and summoned his evil army of undead mercenaries who entered into the dead people's bodies and slowly thousands of zombies came running towards Alice and Elgin. Alice took her spear and thrusted it in the ground and then slowly the sky started to turn purple. Elgin said, "Don't do it, Aliyah. You will break the pious rule of Mother Manaca." Aliyah said grimly, "Doesn't matter. We cannot let Gongamtei seize the spear." She started chanting a holy mantra and soon her whole body started to get purple and the spear got redder and redder as if it has soaked all the blood from Alice's body.

Alice said, "Hasta le Vogera." A powerful beam fall from the sky and started burning all the zombies and turning them into black and sticky liquid. Gongamtei quickly picked a bike from the road and drove away as fast as he could. Elgin looked at Alice who was draining too much energy and evidently was going to perish. Elgin transformed into a dragon and crashed with the floating Alice and a huge blast happened between them, throwing both them miles away. Aliyah got out from Alice's body and slapped Elgin hard, "You could have killed her, you moron." Elgin said angrily, "Oh, really. I could have killed her, but you were surely going to kill her. Look at her condition, her whole blood has been sucked out her body and her skin has turned pale." Aliyah said grimly, "So, what? We Manacans have pledged an oath to protect the spear even if we have to die." Elgin said angrily, "But, she is not a Manacan." Aliyah screamed, "Then, she fucking has to be. Gongamtei's power is a mere fraction of what Xao Chang's power is and if she cannot win against a pawn, how can she defeat the king?" Elgin replied, "Pawns changes. Take her the whole distance and then she can transform into a great warrior she is destined to be." Aliyah looked at Alice, who taking huge breaths like a fish out of water. Aliyah took Alice in her lap and entered into the energy sphere and soon disappeared. Elgin transformed into an eagle and flew away.

News reporters, police, paramedics and special forces arrived at the Church and started investigating the whole case. Mr. Walschimdt arrived at the scene along with Assayah, Lloyd and Mr. Watwell who was horrified with the past week's happenings. Media started attacking Mr. Walschimdt with questions and started demanding answers. Mr. Walschimdt said with a sad tone, "I'm deeply upset about the casualties that happened today due to some paranormal terrorism. I truly hope that whatever it was will subside soon and we can go back to normal once again." One reporter asked, "Do you think it was some foreign tactics to terrorize our people and weak our nation?" Assayah laughed, "Foreign tactics? You might be on drugs, mate. No country till this day have advanced so much to make a dead person alive to use as a weapon for international wars. Whatever it might be, it was supernatural and we don't want to mud anyone on this matter." Another reporter asked, "The apparent terrorist or deceased person was a student of the same college in which Mr. Watwell's daughter studies and the recent attacks on Mr. Watwell's daughter have also been kept very aloof from the media. Is there some connection between these two incidents?" Everyone looked at Mr. Watwell who was clearly absent minded and Mr. Lloyd said, "It is true that the person who died was a student of the same college in which Mr. Watwell's daughter studies and coincidentally he was also a classmate of her as well. But, I clearly deny any connections whatsoever it seems to be, and sincerely request all of you to not make a circus of these incidents and give both the police and us time to heal the situation." Lloyd and Mr. Watwell rushed towards the car and soon went away from the scene.

One police officer came near Walschimdt and said, "We have managed to retrieve as much of the footage as possible and we would like to show it to you." Walschimdt watched the footage and said, "Holy Christ. This is inhumane strength. He just threw the poor girl like a rag doll." Assayah saw the footage and mumbled, "Kayuba is so dead now. His impulsive decisions always lands me into trouble. Kenchi has played a very clever trick this time and if Gongamtei manages to take the spear before Phantom, then Bacca will be forced to make Kenchi the new chief of the Monastery." Assayah said grimly, "We have to act fast. I can see more destruction coming up in the future." Walschimdt said, "Whatever it is, a man, a monster, zombie, I want every detail of this boy, Ryder Maverick Wilson." Walschimdt and Assayah went inside their car as the media started surrounding them with questions.

Aliyah put a wet cloth dipped with human blood inside Alice's mouth and slowly squeezed all the blood from it. She then slowly started giving chest compressions and mouth to mouth breaths. Elgin brought an olive green concoction and then added some of Alice's blood in it and poured in inside her mouth. Aliyah started rubbing her feet and then massage her whole body with warm blood. Alice slowly opened her eyes and then asked weakly, "Am I dead?" Aliyah smiled, "Not so fast, lady." Alice slowly rose and asked, "What was that? Are there more like him?" Elgin replied, "Consider him your first real opponent rather than some hybrid junk. Gongamtei's ancestors were raiders and deadly assassins who would kill anyone for money or valuable items. They were so brutal and sadistic than people started seeing demons in them and prayed to Mother Manaca to rescue them from those monsters. Mother Manaca listened to their pleas and fell on those monsters as rain of blood. Their screams and burning bodies were evident of the ultimate justice of Mother Manaca and the people started to turn calm and peaceful as they were earlier. But, their happiness was ephemeral as some of the raiders managed to escape and among them was young Gongamtei who was burning in the fire of vengeance. He learned various dark arts and devoted himself to the evil force, Xao Chang who was also burning in the fire of vengeance. Xao Chang gave him immense power and taught him various mantras and made him an invincible assassin.

Gongamtei now more powerful than ever, started torturing the innocents with outmost cruelty and gore. No one could withstand his flame of hatred and darkness as he went on butchering people. But, one day, a young girl stood in front of him with bravery and justice in her soft and delicate eyes and a spear in her hand. She was Aliyah's grandmother, Tara who was the daughter of the local king, Thamus who was a devotee of Mother Manaca and has trained his only daughter in all arts of war. Tara fought valiantly and killed Gongamtei and from that day she become the warrior princess of Manaca Empire. She married Aliyah's grandfather, King Jalacapa and became the warrior queen. But, Xao Chang revived Gongamtei and sealed him with the power of fire. Gongamtei came again and this time he wounded Queen Tara fatally, but Queen Tara managed to seal him in the Holy Scroll and locked him for eternity. She received a royal funeral ceremony and was buried next to her father's tomb." Alice asked, "But how did Gongamtei escaped again?" Aliyah said grimly, "Betrayal." Alice asked, "What?" Aliyah smiled, "Nothing, Alice. Take some rest. You will seeing a lot of drama on the news channels in a couple of hours." Aliyah and Elgin went outside the room and turned off the lights.

Assayah was taking a bath when he heard a noise coming from his room. He could see a silhouette roaming around his room trying to find something in a hurry. Assayah waved his hands and a red chain emerged from the ground and tied the intruder. Assayah wore his robe and came outside and saw that Ryder was there. He looked at him and said, "Haven't you done enough damage for one day that you are trying to sabotage my house too?" Gongamtei tore the chains and said, "You have grown a little old from the last time I saw you." Assayah smiled, "You don't have any responsibilities on your shoulders, so won't understand the stress I'm have to deal with everyday." Gongamtei smiled, "Your job is to keep the mortals in control and manipulate their minds and make them our servants. Yet, you couldn't tell that a Manacan has been staying here between the mortals." Assayah said grimly, "People evolve and starts to become more unrecognizable day by day. You may not even recognize yourself after centuries from now." Gongamtei waved his hand in anger and said, "Whatever your reasons may be, but now we have a Manacan with the Blood Spear and time is running out faster than before."

Assayah smiled, "You are scared, Gongamtei. You are scared that you will be entrapped once again by a Manacan." Gongamtei kicked Assayah on the chest and Assayah fell on a glass table breaking it into several pieces. Gongamtei said angrily, "If you say that again, I will kill you." Assayah rose and cleaned the glass pieces from his body and said, "My silence won't change your fate. You have always lose against a Manacan. Even today." Gongamtei clenched his fists and said, "Not anymore. I will not lose this time nor would I would be entrapped in some bloody scroll. I know that Manacan's face and wherever she is hiding, I will drag her out and crush her beneath my feet and take the spear away from her." He turned into a red mist and flew away. Assayah sighed, "Why does no one tries to keep a little tranquility in their lives and try to do things in a clean and discreet way. He took a broom and looked at the mess Gongamtei has caused. He sighed, "Whenever anyone comes from the Monastery, they mess my house with utmost devotion." He started cleaning the fallen glass pieces, as the moon slowly started to turn red as if he was also burning in the fire of vengeance...
