CHAPTER 26: TASTE

Mia rolled on the bed still sleeping. As she turned and rolled ,she noticed that her bed was bigger than usual. Thinking she was dreaming, she opened her eyes as she stared at the ceiling and squeezed her brows. Mia sat on the bed as she confusingly looked around the room that was not hers ,she wondered how she got there and as she proceeded to get off the bed , she remembered something before letting out a sigh.

The door bell rang and Mia who came from the kitchen opened it to see Ryan standing in front of her "what was he doing here and by this time of the night? " she wondered while inviting him in. Not wasting any time Ryan said " I want you to start living with me" what he said rook Mia by surprise as she thought that it would a few days more before she starts living with him "but don't you think it is so soon," she said "it's not " Ryan replied "get your things, we are leaving now " he added. Mia not knowing what to say complied as she went to her room to get her things with Ryan waiting for her. She came down with her luggage.

As she got to the end of the stairs ,Ryan took the luggage from her while leading her outside and into his car. Mia didn't know what to say , she got curious as to how ryan's house looks like. The entire journey was quiet and somewhat peaceful with Mia looking outside the window .

They passed by many sceneries before getting to the mansion. As they got out of the car , Mia noticed how big the mansion is and her gaze shifted to Ryan who held her luggage. She wanted to take it from him but he didn't let her. His action made her feel uncomfortable letting him carry the bag for her. They both entered and Mia assessed the entire surrounding as it was her first time being here. "do you know what you are supposed to do as my girlfriend?" Ryan confirmed from mia to receive a confused look from the latter. The duo stopped on their tracks as they faced each other "pardon? " Mia said "no one should know that you are my contract girlfriend, it should only be between the two of us and so you would have to make it seem real " he paused" can you do that? "

Ryan's question wasn't a request as he knew that Mia was going to do it. "okay"mia said and received a smile from Ryan that made her return the smile. Ryan had helped her a lot and what she's doing was like returning the favour "it's only a matter of sixty days "she thought. .

Mia peeped outside the door before coming out and closing the door behind her. She looked at the hallway before deciding to go downstairs to see if Ryan was there before noticing the room on her left. She took a few steps forward in an attempt to check the room when she halted and decided to go downstairs instead as it wasn't her house , she felt it would be rude to enter the room. Mia looked around the vast room and seeing that no one was there she looked for the kitchen as she felt thirsty.

Finding the kitchen Mia first looked around the kitchen before turning to leave. As she turned to leave ,she bumped into Ryan that got her startled in the process. She saw that his hair was dishevelled and she also took note of how handsome he is in the morning. Realising what she was thinking, Mia face palmed herself in the mind ."good morning "she greeted "morning "Ryan replied as he walked past her. She turned to follow him "would you like some tea?' she asked "would you make it? "he asked again and Mia nodded.

Ryan didn't complain and let her do what she wanted while helping her to know her way around the kitchen . When the tea was ready Mia served in two cups while giving one to Ryan as he was sitting on the table in the kitchen Mia walked up to him before giving him his tea and at the same time Lucy and Jason entered the kitchen before seeing Ryan sitting on the table and Mia in front of him and Jason pulled Lucy back and they both peeped to spy on them

Ryan collected the tea from her and took a sip before bending with his lips beside her ear "it's good" he whispered and Mia's asked skipped a beat before Ryan moved away . Lucy who as at the entrance wanted to enter but Jason pulled her away from the kitchen. "what do you think you are doing?" Lucy complained "I should be asking you that " Jason replied

Lucy calmed herself down before saying"that's one of Alexa's big sisters ,the one she and her brother are always talking about" Jason didn't know what to say at the revelation "so brother is dating Alex's friend,huh" he confirmed with a smile and Lucy nodded in response.

"we should go and meet her"Lucy said and Jason agreed"I must say brother has taste ,I mean she is pretty" he complemented as they got closer to the kitchen.

Mia who was the first to notice them was surprised on seeing the two of them most especially Lucy . She never thought she was going to see her. Jason couldn't help but ask"are you really my brother's girlfriend?". He saw his brother send him a glare that made his smile even wider as he could finally tease his brother about something.

mia didn't reply but gave a friendly smiled and and the other two returned it"are you two hungry?". At this question , Jason was about to say yes when he was interupted "we plan on eating outside" Lucy said and she signalled her cousin to leave them alone"how the tables have turned" he thought as now Lucy is the one telling him to leave them alone. They both left after saying good bye with Mia asking Ryan what he would like to eat. With Ryan who told her he would have ormlet for breakfast,mia began to cook.

Soon the food was ready, instead of the dinning room ,Ryan decided to eat in his study instead.

Mia sat idle in her room,her eyes scanned through the room that was hers even if it is just for sixty days She took notes of how the bed was bigger than the one she sleeps in. She thought she would get use to this room in a matter of time. Mia wanted to go out as she wasn't used to being idle and now that she thought about it "she had afternoon classes" .

Mia wanted to attend her class but she also thought to let Ryan know. She stood up from her room and searched for his study. She found a door that was at the other side of the hall way ,far away fro. her room,she opened it before peeping inside to see Ryan.

She sighed as she went in "do you want something?" Ryan asked after noticing her . Now that she paid attention she couldn't help but complement his looks at the same time admiring him "no,she shouldn't be thinking that" she shook her head "what was wrong with her?"she scolded herself.

"I have afternoon classes" she simply said as she waited for Ryan's reply. By this time it was already afternoon "I'll drop you off "Ryan said after a few seconds of silence"no need" mia refused"I can go on my own" she added. Mia's thought were on how people would react if Ryan dropped her off at school,she didn't want unnecessary attention "then I'll have my driver drop you off"he said still receiving Mia's refusal"if you don't want me or my driver to drop you, I won't let you attend your classes"

Ryan's was giving a condition"fine ,but your driver would drop me off" she said. Ryan didn't argue with her before he told her that she would meet his grandfather later in the evening,he planned on giving her time but he also wanted to do the introduction once and for all. Mia felt a bit nervous as she would be meeting his grandfather"okay" she said before walking out of the room. She hurried towards her room as she thought of how the rest of her day would be.
