CHAPTER 52: WATCHED

Mia went inside the building nodding and waving to those who had called her . She smiled walking further,the place was big and one could get lost if not careful. She then stood in front a door,hearing voices that were coming from there. She stood by the side, seemingly waiting for the other person inside to come out.She rested on the wall next to the room ,her gaze on the floor.

The door clicked open and someone came outside,from the corner of her eyes she could see that the guy was injured"did a fight happen ?"she thought to herself.Staring at the the person who was working away from the office,the side of his lips bruised,Mia had definitely missed a lot as curiosity filled her. Her gaze was still down when the door clicked open again with another person coming out.

The person stopped to look at her for awhile,with her head down ,her hair fell to the side of her face. She saw him to be someone she knew before but didn't want to raise her head to look at him. He left after what seems like forever.

A sigh escaped Mia's lips as she gave a knock on the door

"come in"a voice said,Mia entered, slowly opening the door to be met by a man seating behind a desk. He was a middle aged who looked intelligent.

"good afternoon sir"Mia greeted with utmost respect

"it's been a while,Mia"the man said with a smile.

"I've been really busy"Mia took out some thing from her backpack,that was packaged and not exposed

"here you go,just like you asked"Mia grinned

"thank you so much"he said feeling elated

"I'm sure your wife is going to live it"Mia said in assurance.

Her mind went back to the two people who came out earlier,she wanted to ask about them but decided against it. Closing her bag and excusing herself,she went out to exit the office and walk down the hall way to open the door of another room only to reveal that it was a class room. A female teacher was there packing her stuff,the class of free of students

"Mrs west?"Mia called softly accompanied by a light knock on the door as a smile graced her lips.

"ah,Mia what a surprise?"the woman said ,a little startled by Mia's voice. She want expecting to see her there.

"yeah I know it's been a while"Mia replied taking two steps in while closing the door behind her.

"it's seems you've been really busy and with why exactly?"Mrs west spoke and Mia looked like she was in deep thought which wasn't obvious.

"yes I...I've been busy with a lot of things and I..."

"I heard from a few people that you have boyfriend,is it true"

Mia was puzzled by the sudden question,she was at loss for words,Mia stared at her teacher in the face and she didn't want to reply.

i...I ..it's complicated"was all she could muster,Mrs west nodded

"I want to take my test"Mia said

"it's a good thing I'm free right now,and I assume you are ready"Mrs west spoke .

They exited to another class room which was also empty. Mia took her seat in the middle of the class where Mrs west handed her the test paper.Mia eyes scanned the question with Mrs west excusing herself. It took a few minutes before Mia was done at the same time Mrs west came in and took the test sheet from her where they exchanged smiles.

Mia sighed,she was barely done with what she came for,she shouldn't get herself stressed as the doctor had advised. She took out her phone for a while before putting it back in her pocket. Another sigh left her lips and by the time she came out most people had either gone home or go their hostels and it was in a way quiet.

Far away from the school,in an isolated area stood a building, somewhat old and looked abandoned.There were barely any people around. Men who wore black stood at the entrance and at the corners there. Inside contained a few people who were busy. It appears to be an organization,they are renovating a few materials with people moving around with such speed and efficiency

Someone stood in a room some where no one was,he could hear the sounds that came from outside. The windows were closed living little light to penetrate through that shown on the side of his face. He walked to stand in front of a drawer before opening it,there was something inside that looked slightly dusty. He took out the file to run his hand across before flipping it open as he stared at the content with distant thought. There was also a photo of a little girl in it that was neat and one would think it was recently taken.

Ryans phone beeped to reveal a text, without wasting anytime he exited the building ignoring those who had greeted him. He started that engine of the car as he drove,all the while his gaze focusing on the road, passing by many building and cars. He soon came to an halt and his eyes scanned the place when he saw a figure walking towards him,her hair packed up in a pony tail danced behind her.

Mia stopped by the side of Ryan's car to open the door only to pause as she looked behind her with confusion,Ryan noticed it and wondered if something happened. Opening the door she sat beside Ryan who looked at her with question in his eyes

"you finished early"he said to see Mia nod as she looked outside the window with that same expression

"is something wrong"Ryan brought Mia back from her thoughts

I..I feel like someone is watching me"she said to him with worry and confusion.

"I'm here and if something happens don't hesitate to call me"he said to calm her down.

"thank you"Mia whispered feeling a little better with Ryan there.
