CHAPTER 71:MORE FOCUSED

Once Alexa was done unpacking,she went out of the room along with her roommate. There were still somethings to be done but the girl figured,she could complete them later. Alexa was glad she had company and her roommate was nice ,they both decided to explore the place since there was still time before their class. Alexa took note of how the girl could be somewhat talkative probably because of the nervousness and think about it Alexa breath in softly while listening to what the other girl was saying

"... that should be done right away,I don't think one should be idle in terms of their life .by the way what's your name?" the blonde haired girl asked

"Alexa" she said with a small smile as they walked on the grounds of the building,some of the students walking back and forth,a few sitting on the side and while some chatted. Some of the females wore makeup on their faces and Alexa thoughtfully wondered how they looked without makeup. Probably all the people there are spoilt brats, Alexa made a mental note.

The girl didn't deny she wasn't spoilt herself but a few acted like they own the Place even though it was to seek attention,she filled her eyes at the end. It was still the beginning of the school year,she couldn't afford any distractions.

"I'm Katherine or kat which ever you prefer,it's nice to meet you and take it from don't get involved with people you don't feel comfortable with otherwise it might lead you in trouble,I know you are smart enough to know that but I just decided to remind you" Katherine lightly patted Alexa's shoulder.

The latter raised on of her brows,no one needed to remind her to be careful,she got that same lecture from Alex before she left home, apart from bullying, fights and constant trouble there were still other things to enjoy. The girl isn't looking forward to having trouble come her way.

"do you know where the library is?" Alexa asked,she shifted her gaze and saw the girl nod her head ,and together they headed towards where the library was situated. One would basically get lost if not careful..

After a little exploration of the school,the girls went back to their dome to prepare for class,none of them wanting to be late on their first day. They had everything prepared to be ready for class.

With the day that continued to go by,mia and Ryan had arrived from their little vacation outside Country X. Though it was short there were lots of memories made and they both knew there was still more to come . She couldn't stop herself from thinking about what happened in country M,it still made her heart race.

While Ryan went to attend to some work,mia decided to see how things were going at the company. As soon as she arrived,she headed straight for her office before relaxing behind the desk as she closed her eyes. Everything was happening so fast and it felt like she couldn't catch up with what was happening to her. Ryan wasn't there but he had her heart racing, a small smile appeared on her lips.

Her thought was interrupted when there was a knock on the door. Soon one of the workers came in,she greeted "good afternoon Miss Albert" her head was slightly bowed in respect.

Mia nodded "is there something you want to tell me?" she asked placing one of her hands on teg desk that had files neatly arranged on it as it hadn't been touched .

"someone was looking for you earlier today,a woman"

Hearing the words,mia wondered who could have wanted to see her,she racked her brain but couldn't figure out who.

"did she say her name?" mia asked as that was the only way to know the supposed person that wanted to see her .

The person in front of her opened her mouth to say "she said her name was Sasha smith"

Mia felt her eyes narrow hearing the name " you can leave" . The door clicked once the person left. Mia wondered what Sasha could want from her ,she had leaves peacefully after a a break of not having to deal with her. Now her mind was filled with what the girl could want from her . Her expression had turned serious, the girl could be up to anything and mia knew her enough to think that.

Mia sighed,she stood up and left the office, heading to the first floor. On her way to the entrance,she saw someone familiar coming in her direction and her mood lightened. It was Alex who had a wide smile in his face.Theu met each other halfway.

"good day ma'am"Alex greeted with a wide smile as he teased her.

"what are you doing here?" mia asked with her arms crossed.

"I didn't find you nor Hannah do I came here" he explained as they started heading outside.

"Hannah isn't home?" mia confirmed,she hadn't have a proper time with Hannah as she had been extremely busy and at the same time she wondered what Hannah had been doing.

"no... i thought she would be with you, that's why I came since I'm less busy" they both stood by his car where the horns of different vehicles filled the air.

"she's probably at the park ...it isn't far" mia said nodding to herself

The duo headed straight for the the park and on the way mia asked "how's Alexa doing?' the girl had left for school and may not be back in while.On the other hand Alex smiled "she wanted me to be the one to drop her off"

At his words mia raised on of her brows in question "did you drop off?"

"what kind of brother are you?" mia shook her head knowing that Alex hadn't seen his sister off to school,she could only imagine what kind of emotions Alexa must have felt.

"a great kind ,work just got in the way and you of all people should know that I would have gone with her " he clarified. Mia knew how much the siblings loved each other even though they sometimes have little argument which she found to be childish.
