CHAPTER 95:MINE

Ryan rested on the bed,his eyes were down as at the moment he didn't even know what to think. Lily had arranged for people to check the accident site and had called his grandfather to inform him of what happened.

Mia stayed in the room with Ryan her eyes fixed on him as she observes her friend. With everything that had happened,she could stay with him not wanting to leave him all alone with no one to stay with him.

The girl stood up and went to our him a glass of water. Bringing the glass in front of him"here drink this,you haven't said anything since you woke nor eaten anything and your throat must be dry"the girl tried to reason with him. Ryan took the water without replying.

After a few seconds of silence mia opened her mouth to say "don't be sad,I don't know what happened but I can tell you are in pain and you can tell me if you need anything or the doctor,mum said your grandfather will arrive soon and so will your brother".

The boy quietly listened to her and he took a gulp from the water before saying "will you let me be alone for a while?".

Unlike in the last where she would have insisted on staying with him,mia understood he needed he space. Leaving the room the girl closed the door behind her.

Soon Ryan's grandfather and brother had arrived at the hospital but by that time,lily had sent her daughter home with the driver as the girl had been in the hospital since the previous night and needed to take her bath and changed her clothes.

After the week's holiday was over,with the funeral for Ryan's parents that had already took place. The students were back to school and as usual Ryan sat on the same bench during break and mia had decided to join him.

She made him feel better with her words where he smiled at her. Eventually Ryan managed to cope with the death if his parents but he had a new found responsibility. He now follows his grandfather to the company to prepare for the future as he stays in the meeting room where fellow investors of the company gather.

For a little boy be had learned quickly and when he explained this to mia the girl had wished him luck hoping the best for him. Perhaps she should also know about the business world but her dad was already teaching her a lot,more knowledge isn't wasted.

One day,mia had just come out from the mall ,she waited for her father beside his car while placing the things she bought inside. At the same time ,she noticed someone familiar at the other side of the road and took a step closer where she prepared to go to the other side. But at that moment,she saw an approaching vehicle from the corner of her eye ,one which was big.

Mia felt her heart momentarily stopped as she prepared for the impact with fear evident in her face ,she closed her eyes but the felt something warm wrapped around her. And the pain in her head followed. Apparently father had bared the impact from the vehicle that had violently hit them and due to it mia had hit her head resulting in her loosing consciousness immediately with the sound of people fading in the background.

Mia opened her eyes slowly, taking in her environment,this was Ryan's room, turning her head she noticed it was dark outside. How long had she been unconscious. Thinking about this, everything came flooding inside her mind, Ryan's sketchbook the similar sketch the both had and her memories.

She had know Ryan before but didn't remember him until today,so much had happened between them before. She turned and noticed him beside her,he hadn't noticed she was awake. Staring at his face a lot emotions filled her senses and she felt her vision blur as tears filled her eyes.

They knew each other when they little,they were close but she had forgotten him after the incident and hadn't seen him since then.Ryan had always know this,it could explain why he had decided to make her his girlfriend while he helped her mum.

Her hand reached to hold his face and he opened his eyes to see her face turn red from tears,he say up and brought her close to him and she immediately said "i-you are that boy from my memories,aren't you?,you are the one who is always on that bench "

"I remember "

"I'm glad you remembered "ryan said before holding her chin while he lifted her face,he wiped her tears then added "you got me worried" he was glad nothing had happened to her. When she hadn't woken up,he had been frustrated running his fingers through his hair more than he could count. While counting the time that felt slow for some reason.

Mia rested in his chest,she asked him"why didn't you tell me before?"

"There are two many risk if I were to tell you about it,you are a curious girl someone who wouldn't stop until she has answers,tell you also meant you would force your brain to recollect and I believe this is something that has happened in the past as well"Ryan said it her with his fingers playing with her hair.

The day she was admitted to the hospital,rya had come there but had seen she didn't recognize him. At that time he was deciding to go abroad,away from the city but before that he had gone to see her. And the look she gave him then was different.

"did you know it was my mum who saved you that day?"mia asked him and had Ryan hum in response and felt his chest slightly vibrate "I got a good look at her that day "

Mia looked up at him,the dim room making his black eyes even darker"was that why you made me your girlfriend and agreed to help her with her treatment?" before now,she had been wondering why ryan had chosen herm she had thought it was because of the few encounters they had before but who knew there was more to it.

"She saved me before it was only right I helped her too,also you Would have been suspicious as to why I helped without asking for anything in return but there was a part of me that wanted to keep you close and safe"Ryan caressed her cheek but he had ended up falling in love with her after that or perhaps he had always loved her and feelings were only visible now.

After a while someone came in her head "I think you parents knew my parents"mia said and Ryan agreed with a hum. It was one of the reasons why he had gone to question his grandfather. The day he was at the hospital,he had seen how Mia's mum was familiar with her family meaning something had connected them,but his grandfather has said it was only business and friendship nothing more. But Ryan had a feeling something else was beneath but what was it.

"Just so you know,I haven't recollected all my memories"mia spoke whilst bringing him out of his thoughts "let's keep it that way,I don't want you going through another painful round, does your head still hurts?".

Mia shook her head and sat on the bed,she stared at his handsome face realizing he has always been handsome,even when they were little.

She moved to sit on his lap , placing her hands in either side of his shoulder where he watched and observed her carefully "thank you Ryan...for everything I may not be able to pay back for what you have for me but I want to keep you happy as I she said before I don't want you to feel the pain of the past as our future would mend everything"

Ryan smiled at this "you don't have to repay me,you see by my side , that's simply enough for me"

Without a second thought,mia leaned in and captured his lips and gently sucked on his lower lip. For the first few seconds Ryan didn't respond,his eyes was opened as he stared at her beautiful face. And in the next second he took over the kiss where he held one side of her face. Mia breathing turned heavy and as they pulled apart Ryan whispered to her "you are mine mia only mine"he declared making mia blush and she said to him"and you are also mine"
