CHAPTER 103: MISSING

Two days later

It was almost noon,mia stood outside the movie theater with Lucy. Like mia promised,she was free and had decided to spend the time with Lucy . There were people standing outside while others already went in .

The movie tickets were already in her hands as they prepared to go in,but before that Lucy had offered to get them popcorn and a drinks while mia waited for her .

In front of the counter Lucy said "two medium sized popcorn and two cokes please"Lucy gently tapped her right leg in the floor with the intention if not wanting to keep mia waiting after all she had taken her time to come here.With the popcorn and drinks in ner hand,Lucy arrived at where mia was waiting only to not find her there.

She looked around, hoping mia had just gone to sit somewhere nearby but she didn't find her. Lucy looked around in confusion wondering where she went, perhaps the restroom?she thought,but where was she supposed to put all this.Taking a few steps forward she finally sighted mia who appeared from behind a pillar.

"did I keep you waiting?"mia asked noticing a trace of worry on Lucy's face. The latter shook her head in response,with a smile she passed Mia's snacks to her before excitedly talking about the movie but Mia's mind was simply else, barely paying attention to what the other person was saying. As the movie started and everyone took their seats,Lucy hand mia already had their seats with mia sitting on the last one of the row they were.

Mindlessly,she ste her popcorn while staring at the screen,she could see Lucy's entire focus on the movie but mia didn't feel the same spark as she felt before she arrived instead she felt tense and eating wasn't doing any good. Her heart beat became rapid and she felt her breathing rough but mia tried to calm down closing her eyes,she opened them again.

Few minutes of sitting and trying to calm herself, nothing worked. But she felt a pair of eyes watching her,to be sure,mia turned to look behind her but found nothing suspicious but she heard Lucy whisper to her "is everything alright?"

Mia gave a nod and an assuring smile and that was enough for Lucy gu turn her attention back on the movie. The feeling still didn't go away and she wondered if it was the anxiousness that she felt that's making her imagining things

She didn't want to bother Ryan just because of a feeling she had but then the man had firmly instructed her not to hesitate when she feels something isn't right. Taking out her phone she texted him with hopes that he would respond quickly. As far as she knows,he's supposed to be in a business meeting at this moment,but that should almost be done right?.

Later she decided to head outside for fresh air not before informing Lucy she would be back in five minutes. Apart from her tensed heart, mia wanted a space to breath.

Give minutes passed and there was no sign of mia returning. At that moment Lucy excused herself from the room ,in search of mia, checking the restroom but there was no one there . By this time,Lucy became extremely worried,she tried contacting her through the phone but there was no response.

After searching for a while longer,she decided to call Ryan and as it on cue,he had called her. As soon as she picked up the call,Lucy opened her mouth to say something when she heard Ryan's strong voice from the other end "is Mia with you?"

"she was but now I can't find her"Lucy replied in a worried tone she quickly added "I've looked for her everywhere but I don't see a y sign of her". Her phone beeped and she checked the screen to see Ryan had hung up. Lucy decided not to step looking and later Jason arrived to pick her up"did they find her,?"

"not yet"replied Jason whilst driving away from the place,he asked "what happened in there?"mia was with Lucy until she went missing,there must have been something amiss . Lucy took a deep breath "nothing suspicious,we were just there watching the movie and I noticed she wasn't feeling good,she later excused herself saying she would be back in five minutes and after that..."she shook her head.

Knowing Ryan,he was going to turn everything upside down until he finds her and she hopes he does soon. Three hours passed and the search for mia continued. Ryan felt frustrated,he had read her text as soon as he came out if the meeting room and had called Lucy knowing mia was with her only to realize she's gone missing.

Nothing was caught on the CCTV camera and it was like someone had momentarily sabotage it just for this. The only person he had in mind was his uncle and he had tried contacting him but to no avail. This man was surely crossing all the limits.

"Is your mom home?" Jason asked Lucy, right now they were all in the mansion and he could tell Ryan was running our of patience "she's home ,why?"Lucy looked between her cousins with a confused face.

"have mark bring her here right now"ryan spoke and Jason immediately brought out his phone.

Confused Lucy began questioning "what's going on?,why do you need to bring my mum here?,you don't think she has anything to do with this?".But no one was replying to her ,they were more focused on the matter at hand leaving Lucy confused all together.

Ryan didn't waste time in the house and immediately head out leaving Jason to call him on any updates. Somehow grandfather had gotten a whiff of what happened and had decided to help,he stayed in the mansion with Lucy,what he prayed not to happen already did.

Lucy walked to sit beside her old man,Ryan and Jason now had suspicion on her father and mother and she wondered why "why does brother Ryan suspect my parents?" if anyone was going to answer her at this moment,it was her grandfather.

"did you see your father today?"the man asked without answering her question,Lucy nodded her head "do you also suspect him too,why?"

"because he's done certain things in the past".

Far away in a dark room,mia opened her eyes feeling a slight headache, blinking her eyes a few times,she tried to adjust to the darkness. When she tried to move,mia realized that her legs and hands were bound to a chair. At the same time everything began to dawn on her. She has been kidnapped and she knew who was behind this..

The rope that was used on her was tied tight and everything time she tried to free herself,her efforts were proven useless. The room was empty except for a desk that sat at the corner,it appeared dusty and old according to her. Looking towards the window,her eyes widen, even though the window had turned slightly dusty and wasn't that clear,she could tell it was already evening,Ryan must be searching for her now,but does he even know where she is.

The door creaked opened and someone stepped inside,the sound of footsteps filling the entire room .
