First Girlfriend, The Crazy Girlfriend. Getting Sick. 'What Potion, James?'

"So, we are."

James stood there for a couple of seconds and then went straight for the door, he didn't make eye contact with either of them, he had to get away from all of this. So much drama, so much paranoia, he needed some time, alone and away from all of it. And frankly Mary wasn't helping. She was being suspicious as if he was out in the middle of the night for the first time.

He thought all the way to the grounds, to the Quidditch pitch, till he reached the grounds. He mounted on his broomstick, and raised up into the air. He was here, where he belonged. The Quidditch pitch was his comfort zone, it was also his excitement, it was his happy place. It was what soothed, made him excited. It was his home. He left his troubles on the ground.

He raised into the air with a smile on his face.

"Hey, Potter, round up here, the quaffles..." James was just flying around the pitch.

"Coming!" He shouted. He placed his hand on the broomstick's handle and raced towards the quaffles. He was a natural at this. His other hand was going through his messy hair. It felt colder with the wind going passing through his jet black, already messy hair.

James changed his route in the directions of the hoops. He felt cold, as he tugged at his sleeve. He forgot to get his jacket because of the cat fight in the common room. He didn't know another fight was coming up later.

"You are the most arrogant, and non sensitive person I know!"

James entered the common room, last, he thought it was going to be empty. He came inside from the showers, he was holding his t-shirt in his hands. Mary had a mug in her hands, she threw it at him, it hit him square on the chest. The coffee from the mug was now pouring between his definite and well shaped abs.

"What the bloody hell?'

"It's Lily, isn't it?" Mary was standing in the common room, and screaming, the mug was on the floor, broken into pieces. James was kind of grateful he took a walk around, and came back alone.

He used his T-shirt to wipe the coffee from his chest and stomach, 'Man, this woman is crazy!' He thought to himself. 'Need a new T-shirt now'

"She was out with you!"

"Oh crap!" James sighed, he didn't know what he had gotten himself into. "Look, Mary, You told me if I walked out, we were done, and frankly if you can't trust me, I think you made the right call, I am done. Why was I out? It is none of your business, okay? I was with my friends."

Mary had started to cry.

"It was not the first time I was out in the middle of the night with my friends. And it will not be the last,"

Now he was sitting in front of her. He had burnt scorches on his bare chest. It was red.

"And Evans had nothing to do with, she made it clear to me that I am nothing to her. And Evans has nothing to do with what I am about to do now!"

He held her hands in his own, a serious and grave expression on his always smiling face.

"Mary, I don't think I'll be able to keep up with this."

She was starting to believe him, as he called Lily 'Evans'. But it was a little too late. James hadn't dated anyone before her. He was too busy chasing Lily. But he was a gentleman.

"I can't deal with this anymore," He said.

"Are you breaking up with me?" Mary looked at him.

"I think you already did that a few hours ago!" James smiled.

"I didn't mean it."

"No, some people make right decisions on impulse." James let go of her hands, "You were right."

He made his way to the boys dormitory.

"I'm sorry, Mary…..But, I can't keep hurting you, because you can't trust me."

He smiled one last time before leaving.

He broke the news to his friends in the morning.

"Good, it's good!" Sirius patted him on the back, "Back together, free and singles..."

James spared a glance to Mary, who was sitting with her friends, Alice, Lily and Marlene. It was like Lily and Mary had made up, and she was talking to her, and rubbing her arm.

"It's okay!" He heard a whisper. 'A lot of other guys out there.'

It was nice this way. He was kind of glad to be out of this relationship.

"It's snowing!" Remus looked up at the sky, the roof of the great hall displayed snowballs falling down the sides.

"Snow fight!?"

"Snow fight!"

The Marauders got off the table, followed by other people. James Potter was back in the single life, happy to be with his friends.

"Why did you break up with Mary?"

Lily was standing over James, who fell asleep in the arm chair, by the fire. He had so much fun in the snow fight. He was so relaxed. But on the other hand, Mary was deeply grieved, and was standing on the side with her friends. She cried when James laughed and ran around, putting snow into Sirius's shirt.

"Achoo!" James sneezed, "Uh oh."

He opened his eyes with someone looking at him.

"Ahhh.' He jumped out of the seat. "What are you doing?"

He picked up the tissue from the box on the corner.

"Did you break up with...?"

"Achoo!"

"Are you going to be sick?"

"I'm fine!" He sniffled.

"I wanted to ask you if you broke up with Mary..."

"Achoo!"

"Are you doing this on purpose?"

"What?...Achoo!"

He took out another tissue from the box and sneezed again. His nose was red, and his eyes were watering.

"Okay, You are really sick!"

"Bricks?" James was confused.

Lily giggled.

"Sick!"

"I'll get you a potion, okay?"

"A whaaa... Achoo?" James took two more tissues.

Lily took a blanket from the bottom of the arm chair, and threw it to James. Then she went outside, and came back with two small bottles. She poured the blue liquid into a glass,

"Take this." She told him, "This'll clear up the flu."

James took the glass and gulped down the potion.

"Thanks."

"Not done." She went on. "This one will put you to sleep, now go to bed."

"Okay, Mom!" James sniggered, and then coughed. "Your last potion hurt so much, will this hurt?"

"What?" Lily asked him, "What potion?"
