Chapter 3: Welcome to the underground cave

Quinn got back from school thinking of what Jason said yesterday concerning her skin color. She tried to forget about it, but her mind wouldn't let her. Finally, she accidentally came across 'brown skinned girl' by Beyonce, then she started to feel better. At home, she was practicing her speed manipulation, when she 'superspeeded' into her dad's favorite vase. She stopped it from falling with her new power.

"Huh, I guess Franklin forgot to mention that I could also mainpulate the speed of objects." Quinn said to her self.

Jason on the other hand, burnt the only picture left of his dad. His mum decided not to give him allowance for a month.

Jax, Chloe and Pheobe were all practicing together at Jax's house. Pheobe decided to test her Electrokinesis. She ended up electrocuting her self and Chloe, with their hair standing out, therefore passing out.

Jax teleported the bolt towards him and it his dad's car!

"Hey guys, everyone meet at my house for training ASAP😁🤪⌛." Quinn texted over the group chat, 'bond fire' created by Jason.

Soon Jason rushed over. Jax thought, since he could teleport objects, teleport lightening bolts, he could also teleport humans including himself. Turns out he was right! So, he tried to teleport himself with the two girls, Chloe and Pheobe. They first landed in Disneyland, then Mount Everest (the second tallest mountain in the world), and finally at Quinn's house. Chloe and Pheobe had already woken up by then. At Quinn's house, they assembled Franklin, with the two halves taken off.

"Hi again Humans. Now about our training base, Quinn on your shelf, there's a blank book, pull it and see what happens." Franklin said.

Quinn pulled the blank book, then a dark hallway appeared.

"Don't be scared, go in." Said Franklin.

When they went in, they saw a metal elevator, with VINES written on the door, then got in immediately.

The shelf returned to it's original position to avoid suspicion.The elevator started to move downwards, till it reached the underground level. When they got to the bottom, they finally saw the training room. It was every spacious. It had a swimming pool, to improve endurance underwater, a hot and cold room to improve endurance in unfavorable conditions, the training posts for each member of VINES according to their various powers, a green meeting room with a computerized TV at the front, a large VINES rug colored red and dark green at the middle and so much more.

"Welcome to the 'VINES underground cave'. Time here is much more slower, hours are minutes here." Franklin said joyfully.

"This is freaking cool!" Jason and the others said as they stood in amazement.

"First up, we are going to look on how to use your powers more effectively. Quinn try to focus on a destination set, instead of just randomly." Matt you think of what makes you angry the most to channel to fire power.! Chloe, yours is simple, find the hidden 50 bucks in the night room. If you find it, it's yours to keep. Pheobe, imagine yourself being a cloud awaiting to strike a house with your lighening bolt! Jax think of where you want to teleport or be teleported to without distractions." All this, Franklin ordered in one go.

Soon they began to work on their selves. After hours and hours of practice, they became perfect. Jason while practicing his Ignition, almost burnt Quinn.

"Quinn, are you okay?, I didn't mean to do that, it was an accident!" Jason said sorrowfully.

He was literally on the verge of tears.

"Don't worry, I'm okay, accidents happen, but why are you so worried?! Quinn asked while smiling.

"It because I have officially made you my second bestie apart from Jax, and I don't wanna lose you, like I lost my father." Jason answered.

"Hey!" Jax exclaimed in jealousy.

"Franklin, can't you work apart from the pendant, like with the TV in the meeting room?" Pheobe asked.

Yes, I can work without the pendant. Just place the pendant in front of the TV, and I will leave the pendant." Franklin answered.

Soon, they placed the pendant in front of the TV, and Franklin became part of of the TV. Now he displayed a smiley face.😁

"One more thing, never exposes your identities, no matter where you are, or who you're with. Understood?! Franklin ordered.

"Yes sir!". They all exclaimed together in uniform.

"Good. See you tomorrow after school for training."

Jax teleported everyone back to their homes, seperately at once, except Quinn since she literally lived there. It was a new level of skill for Jax.

"Two words, f*cking awesome!" Jax said, seeing the uprising improvement of skill and finesse in space manipulation.
