Chapter 5: ROOTless

VINES were still prasing Quinn for her heroic deed on their back from to school to Quinn's house for training.

"Quinn I never knew you were so bold and skilled!"Jason said.

"Thanks, but Im not that skilled. Those skills I used today were from martial arts trying when I was a kid. Besides, Vivian deserved want she got." Quinn said in a heroic manner.

Guys, why are we going on foot, I could just teleport all of us there." Jax said.

"I don't know Jax, you tend to get distracted every now and then, and remember what Franklin told you 'bout how to use to powers efficiently." Pheobe said discouraging max.

Soon, everyone joined her in unism.

"Come on guys, I can do it!" Jax said trying to change their minds.

He managed to change their minds and soon, they all agreed. Just before, he was about to teleport, he saw a girl that looked like Cardi B. He teleported to three places relating to Cardi B. First, the scene in Taki Taki where she was rapping, her house and one where she was in a club dancing. Finally they reached the underground cave.

"Dude what's your prob', I almost threw up! Jason asked in extreme anger.

"I couldn't help myself. Cardi B was my favorite rapper back in 2022, still is and will always be." Jax responded.

" I don't give a sh*t 'bout who your favorite rapper is, next time avoid any distractions!" Chloe said offensively.

"Ouch!" Quinn exclaimed.

"Humans, welcome to our second training session. Today won't be that tough like last time, just need to work on your skills against ROOTless, after I show you a series of clips relating to them." Franklin said.

"Franklin, I think my pendant gave me a system after I saved someone this morning." Quinn said

The rest were all shocked in amazement.

"Lucky, I've always wanted a system!" Jax said in jealousy.

"Oh Yes, I forgot to tell you, two people amongst the five of you will be granted pendants for good deeds. Quinn is already the first. If you've got a system new skills will be given to you. Now here is everything you need to know 'bout ROOTless". Franklin said formally, display some video clips.

First was how ROOTless got their powers. The storyline was very similar to VINES. They found a whole pendant, buried at the entrance to the orphanage wear they all stayed aftered escaping. The leader Max, similar to Jax, declared vengeance to Earth twin for how cruel their world had been to them. That what the very moment, there and then, they formed ROOTless. The found the pendant near a bunch of weed roots, hence the name ROOTless. All this was being displayed in Franklin's own series of video clips. VINES felt sorry for ROOTless, mostly the girls. They began to cry.Jason and Jax where proving to be strong, holding back their tears. Franklin also felt sorry for ROOTless. He made it clear by showing a robotic sad face.😥

"Any questions?" Franklin asked after display the video clips.

VINES were unable to think of any REASONABLE questions. They were still in remorse after what just had just witnessed. Jax asked a stupid question to lightening everyone's mood.

"Yes, I've got a question, why where they orphans?" Jax asked.

Everyone tried to hold their laughter, but it wasn't something they could control so easily. Franklin soon answer his question.

"It's because of stupid people like you who killed their parents with your questions." Franklin said while display a smiley face.😁 Jax's plan to improve everyone's mood had actually worked. Then his eyes turned fully black resembling that of reptilian eyes. He was the second person to have a system in VINES. A new skill was added which said, 'creating portals to other worlds'.

"Guys, I've got my own system like Quinn. Finally, my childhood dream has been fulfilled. I got the power to create portals to other worlds. Quinn what did you get?" Jax asked in excitement.

"I got the power to freeze time." Quinn responded.

"Congratulations the both of you. Always use your systems to help other members." Franklin instructed the both of them.

"I should have been the one to get that system not Jax. I needed to find something me and Quinn have in common so far no luck, and I claim to be her bestie?! That system was my last hope." Jason said within him self what a mixture of anger and jealousy.

"Oh oh, I smell something burning, (sniffs) (sniffs), oh, it's Jason!". Chloe whispered to Pheobe and they both started to gigglem
