It’s Friday night and Lucy has organized for the entire management team for Blood Ink to go out for a company dinner, including the members of the band, which means I have to spend an entire night with Gray.


Ever since we spent the afternoon together in the café after running into each other, he hasn’t been speaking to me, so we end up working in silence most of the time. I don’t know why he’s been acting so standoffish this week. 


I can’t help but wonder if it’s something I said or did to make him upset with me. But then I remember what Bronson said about Gray’s childhood and think that maybe I’m not the issue at hand but it’s something larger that is hidden behind the scenes of Gray’s mind.


Whatever it is, it’s causing a lot of tension between Gray and me.
