Chapter 24: Storming Out

Remi’s POV

“Thank you for suggesting that we go out for drinks tonight. Turns out I really needed this,” I smile at Sam as we walk through the front doors of the Astro Lounge.

The last time I was here was a month ago when I first got the job at Vital Records as Gray’s personal assistant. The images flashing through my mind of his strong facial features under the dim lighting feel like a distant memory at this point given what has happened in the time since then.

When Sam suggested we go to the Astro Lounge, I was a little hesitant because I had run into Gray the last time I was here, and I didn’t want that to happen again after what has happened today. But I figured that maybe Gray wouldn’t be out on the town tonight with a possible warning from Lucy to lay low after the photo of us began circling the internet. I should be doing that too but because it’s fresh news, I thought that maybe I could get away with going out tonight before sh*t hits the fan tomorrow.
