Thea's POV
The crisp morning air hits my face, and the only sound in the woods is the sound of my footsteps hitting the cobblestone path leading to Ms. Victoria's house. I am suddenly hit with the realization that I have been behind the barrier for almost a week now. Time has gone a lot faster than I realized, probably because I have been so absorbed in learning Ms. Victoria's healing practices.
I unlock the front gate leading to her front garden and spot her long arm waving at me from one of the chairs on her porch.
"Good morning, dear!" Ms. Victoria shouts across her garden. "I am glad you are here. Could I bother you to run a quick errand for me?"
"Of course," I say, even though I know Hudson would not be okay with me going into town by myself. We had spent some time together at different places in town, but many pack members were still very wary of me. Although we had run into one of the Alpha's inner circle members that were downright hostile.
