chapter 2: Revenge 1

Chen!!! Chen!!! Jane was trying to get the attention of chen who was obviously in a daze

"what were you thinking about" jane asked chen with a frown on her face, chen was still trying to wrap his head around what the system asked him to do he couldn't understand why the system would ask him to commit murder even if it was as a revenge to the person who murdered him

"sorry I just kind of zoned out. You know this is actually a lot for me to take in too" chen replied so what were you asking about before I zoned out chen asked her

"I was kind of wondering how you got to where we are now" jane said

"Before he begins with the whole explanation I would like to ask how many hours we were dead for" asked Klaus

Judging from the time your bodies were found in the river and after the autopsy was carried out it was deduced that you guys have been dead for about three days, please can you recount your ordeal to me asked jane again

Chen recounted everything that happened from their kidnap to their eventual death and escape from the hospital's morgue but he purposely omitted the part where the system resurrected him and his friends

"I wonder why the king wanted the company so bad he had to kill chen" jane thought

Jane can you contact my layer so he can draw up the papers I would like to sign over the company to you for now, I think it would be better if the world still thinks I am dead, because I have no idea how to explain to them how I am still alive after being confirmed dead by the coroner and the police

Jane considered this for a while before speaking

"what if the king comes after me then"

don't worry about that I would be taking care of that soon replied chen and we would be taking our leave now I see you are beginning to get uncomfortable because of us have a good night jane

"have a good night sir" jane said while watching chen and his friend leave her home I wonder how he is going to take care of the king, jane thought to herself before shutting the door and going back into her bedroom

Meanwhile a few kilometers away in a dark room the king was grovelling and pleading to be spared

"master please he refused to budge so I had to kill him I have made plans to buy the company"

"forgive me master"

A figure completely covered in a cloak sat at the top of a throne made of human bones and when the creature spoke he sounded like a thousand rattle snakes

"I have given you the resources to carry out my mission and you have failed me this time if you would not like to become one of them I suggest you act fast" the creature said he then flicked his finger and the king was knocked out

'bro your secretary is so-" victor was trying to say

"can you shut up we are trying to get ourselves out of the mess we are in and all you can think of is how attractive a woman is" romeo said cutting him off mid speech

Chen then told the group of what happen when he was zoned out and how the system gave him a ultimatum to get rid of the king

"I think we should get rid of this car first before we do any other thing because we might be getting tracked and we should also remove the black box of the car" price said

"thanks captain obvious nice idea" bryan retorted

After getting rid of the vehicle at a nearby river the group set off towards chen's house which was located at an isolated area after waling for hours the finally sighted the house

"everytime I see this building I am always star struck" romeo said

We will be staying here for the time being and getting prepared for the quest which I told you about while we are here we would be sharpening our skill in preparation for the mission and remember that we have just under 72 hours to get this done, failure to do so we cease to exist.

They entered into the house and while the rest of them were admiring the flooring of the house chen left them and went to freshen up, after getting himself clean he told them to clean up and feel at home and made it clear to them that they could wear any clothing they found comfortable in his wardrobe

Chen was so tired that he wasn't aware of when he fell asleep, he was startled awake by the loud sound he was hearing, chen ran towards the source of the sound forgetting that he had guests on getting to the kitchen he saw Klaus and romeo in the kitchen trying to get food ready

"we figured that we'd cook while you were asleep" said Klaus

"no problem do as you wish I am also hungry as well" chen replied as he was leaving the kitchen and heading towards the balcony he received another notification

[12 hours has passed since quest was given 60 hours left]

Chen knew he had to act fast, he called jane and asked her to get him the layout, ground plan and guard activity of the king mansion, then he called together the group and told them that they had to sharpen their skill set since he was assured that they haven't sparred or used a gun or weapon since they left the army he decided to pair everyone against the other, the first people that were chosen to spar were Klaus and pricnce.

"you just set me up because you know I am hardly the best at hand to hand combat" prince said

Chen just nodded and gestured for them to begin

Prince rushed forward with a flurry of blow and Klaus managed to parry everyone of them away, price retreated a few step and changed his stance hoping to catch Klaus by surprise and finish him off with a hit to the head

meanwhile Klaus did not take any stance and stood with his arms free to his sides prince rushed forward again but this time with a jab to the side, Klaus allowed himself to get hit anticipating what prince was planning on and finished him off with a palm across his neck.

" Klaus wins this duel" chen said and proceeded to call on victor and romeo to the sparring mat

Romeo stood with both his hands forward and one of his legs drawn back while victor just circled romeo with one of his hand up, romeo growing tired of the entire charade decided to move first jumping he release two kicks which were parried away by victor and continued piling up the heat by constantly attacking victor with both his hands and feet eventually he managed to land a hit on victor

Victor was taking his time and watching out for fluctuations in romeo's speed eventually he saw an opening and landed two quick punches to romeo's abdomen romeo pretending to be hurt doubled over and used the opportunity to perform a sweeping motion with his feet hence knocking victor over.

Chen announced romeo as the winner of the duel and got on the mat while moving around the mat he observed that bryan was favoring one of his legs he attacked immediately using his feet as a decoy bryan made the move to intercept the kick with his leg and chen punched him in the gut, bryan saw the punch coming but chen was too fast for hi to defend himself

The fight ended in less than a minute "how do you do it? You were too fast I couldn't even react fast enough to defend myself" bryan said

"just good genes and healthy food" chen replied

After eating chen received a notification on his desktop and he saw that jane already sent the files he requested for he went over the plan and layout with the team, after making adjustments to the plan he decided that five of them would infiltrate the king's mansion and take the king out chen requested that bryan be the sniper since he was the best shooter among them

After the meeting the met at chen's garage to get prepared for the quest chen walked towards a weird looking panel and inputted a code after scanning his finger print, wow! Prince exclaimed from behind they were lead into a very spacious room with a lot of shelves and drawers

"pick your weapons guys and bryan do not forget the sniper" chen said

After gearing up they loaded up into two trucks and set off for the king's mansion.
