Chapter 12

While waiting patiently for Jason to recover completely, the guards were busy waiting for commander Eric's arrival which took about a day and some hours before he was able to arrive in the lower heaven. 

"Greeting commander Eric" the guards greeted with their heads lowered in shame as they couldn't complete the mission that was given to them. 

"Where is the queen?'' He asked with a deep frown on his face after looking around and couldn't find her.

"Well we tried to hold her down until your arrival but she happened to overpower us after the prince was injured" replied one of the guards with a lower head.

"The prince was injured, tell me who among you did it" asked commander Eric in surprise as he looked at the guards.

"There is no way we will be able to tell you that because the one who was responsible for his injuries is already dead" replied the same guard.

It was only after the guard's reply that he was able to notice that the number of guards that were sent to the lower heaven was down to seven. 

"What happens to the other guards"? He asked.

"They were killed together with the guard who is responsible for the prince's injury" replied one of the guards.

"She did that? Then how come that the lot of you are still alive when she could easily eliminate you"? Asked commander Eric with a frown.

"I think it has to do with the state that the prince was in that made her give up on the idea of taking all of us out since his cultivation was crippled" replied the guard who is in charge of tracking.

When he heard that the prince's cultivation was crippled, the frown he had on his face couldn't help but deepen as he stared at the guards in anger but since there was nothing he could do, he let out a sigh before taking a walk forward. 

"Since the prince's cultivation has been crippled, it won't be an easy task to capture the queen since she would be on edge but at the same time if we want to get her to come to the palace without putting on a fight is by taking the prince hostage" said commander Eric with his hand on his chin as he begins to analyze his plan since taking the queen down would be a difficult task for him even when they are in the same realm.

"But commander Eric, getting hold of the prince won't be an easy task since the queen would be keeping a close eye on him" said the guard that was in charge of tracking. 

"I will keep the queen busy while the lot of you find a way to capture the prince without causing any uproar" replied commander Eric.

After letting the guards in on his plan, he took a work to the area where took off as he looked at the sky with a frown on his face.

"The queen's aura seems to be faint here, if I'm not mistaken she tried to hide any trace that would give her away but well good thing that I came prepared else it would be difficult to track her down" said commander Eric with a light chuckle before taking out a compass and places it to the sky like he was looking for something. 

Seeing him acting this way, the guards were confused as they gave each other a look in hope of one of them having an idea of what he was doing but it turns out that none of them had an idea.

After moving the compass around for some time, he was able to catch a faint of her energy before keeping the compass away.

Turning to the guards who seemed to be confused about what he had just done, he didn't bother to explain himself as he flew into the air with a cold look on his face as he said to them.

"You better wipe that look off your face and focus on the task at hand before you lose a hand".

With the threat that was issued out, the guards didn't waste any time before responding as they flew to the sky as they all stood behind commander Eric.

"Commander, since it has been long since she left the vicinity, how are we supposed to find her"? Asked one of the guards.

"You can leave the tracking to me, all you have to do is keep up with me. Since it has been a long time since she left, the spiritual energy that was left behind is beginning to fade away so we don't have much time on our hands" replied commander Eric before moving forward as he began to lead the way.

While commander Eric and the guards were busy tracking them down, queen Jeanie has finally recovered to her peak with the injury that she incurred during the battle with the guards has finally healed up leaving Jason who was still laying on his bed in a low spirit as he stared at his hand. 

"For how long are we staying here"? He asked after some silence.

"Once you are able to recover completely, we will be leaving" replied queen Jeanie. 

"What if they manage to track us down here like they usually do, what are we going to do"? He asked again. 

"Worry not son for this time around, I didn't leave a trace behind so unless someone with higher authority in the palace decided to get involved, there is no way they would be able to track us" replied queen Jeanie with a chuckle.

Since his mother has given him assurance that they are safe in the meantime, Jason couldn't help but let out a sigh as he relaxed before taking out one of the pills that help in replenishing spiritual energy before throwing it into his mouth and then closing his eyes to meditate. After meditating for some time and he could still not feel any spiritual energy flowing through his body, he couldn't help but give up on the thought of continuing with the meditating.
