"Alright guys, we're going into our local hour which I know is everyone's favorite, especially with the Battle of the Bands only about two months away. This one is Deadly Nightshade. They're a new band in these parts and I think you'll like what they have to offer."


I flip the switch and the bass-heavy tune of Liar Liar bleeds into the campus airwaves. All in all, we laid down three tracks the other day, and I was anxious to get some of them playing for Brentwood U for the girls. With the fall break just around the corner now, the parties are really starting an uptick in both frequency and attendance, and they can go for all the exposure they can get. I knew people would love the song the moment I heard it, so dropping it on the radio was a no-brainer.


The vibrating of my phone draws my attention from the switchboard. The lit-up screen indicates to me that it's Kaden. Smiling, I answer the phone.
