Although Kaden didn't outright say it, the fact that he didn't like the idea of me being in another band was all over his face that day in my basement. It's no surprise to me that he seems to back off a little bit over the next week, leaving me to my own devices.

When I got a text from Dave asking me to meet him and his friends out at a bar to deliver their order, I didn't mind too much. It was a large order, taking everything I had on hand at the moment, so I just grabbed a Lyft. Figured I would get a beer or something.
