Sonata No. 14, "Moonlight"

My fingers thrummed nervously on the leather armchair in Kaden's living room as I let my mind roll over the task I'd set forth for this morning. Winter break starts on Wednesday, and I haven't spoken with Gabs since the other night when I completely lost my cool and yelled at her for something that wasn't even her fault.

Generally speaking, apologies aren't what I'm best at. Sarcasm, jokes, icebreakers - those are what I'm good at. Apologies, not so much. But, I have been avoiding my own house like the plague in order to avoid the awkward apology that needs to happen, and quite frankly, Kaden's wardrobe can only be stretched for far. But, that's not the only anxiety-inducing conversation I need to have today. Right now, I'm trying to psych myself up to call my Dad.
