After lily heard her name being called out to start the match, from the audience seat she jumped into the arena, landing on one foot before the other came after.

'Beautiful entrance', I thought.

Though it was unnecessary in my opinion, since she could have just jumped and landed on her two feet instead of making her move delicate, I still appreciated her elegance.

But others around me show her entrance as a start to start live streaming her.

Yes, they started a Livestream on ISTA, showing lily who was about to start a match with a robot.

When lily noticed they were streaming her, she ignored it completely.

Apart from a few people and me, most of my new schoolmates already thought that lily had died, but I knew it was too easy.

I was calm not because it was that I didn't care about lily's life, I was calm because I knew the robots will not kill anyone and the strange behavior of the robot just now.

And I was correct yet again when the 'headless body' melted into mud.

'Why does this also look like a scene I've watched before from a certain anime.'

After the body melted into mud, I heard a familiar voice.

"Domain magic: Forest terrain",

Immediately after lily chanted this spell, before the robot could reach her, half of the arena turned into a semi-forest.

And to chant other spells are usually like this: Fire magic: Fireball, Shadow magic: Shadow world, Ice magic: Ice arrows, and many more.

Returning my attention to the arena, after lily used domain magic to turn half of the arena into a semi-forest, she was able to use the truck of the trees around her and the robot to attack, causing the robot to be unable to reach her.

This continued to when the robot was already at level 30, which meant that lily has already been fighting for three minutes and was already qualified to enter bronze class.

Watching lily fight with the robot with her besting the robot, I felt like as long as the robot does not pass a particular level, she'll be able to enter silver class.

But that opinion changed when the robot level increased by another two, bringing its level to level 32.

After seeing this, lily did not panic and was calm instead like she expected it, and before the robot could attack her, she made her move first.

Using the forest she created as fuel for her magic, lily created a shield made of hard earth, formed the head of an oval with her in it, and reinforced the shield with more earth magic, making it harder and bigger till it formed a giant lump of hard shield with her in it and the only way to attack her is to first break the shield from outside.

Seeing this, I realized her tactics immediately.

Instead of actively fighting with the robot and getting defeated in the end, why don't we follow the instructor's words and pass the test?

What he said was that we should fight the robots and last for a particular period of time.

He never said we should actively fight the robot till when we reach our limit.

All he asked for was to last in the fight, not fight, and that is what lily is doing right now.

Of course to stall for time is way harder than it sounds.

Looking at the scene of a level 32 battle robot attacking a big shield made with earth magic, destroying it in the process, while lily was regenerating it back with her magic, but the robot was destroying it faster than she could repair and all the shield could do was stall for time, which was what she wanted in the first place.

Giving lily a thumbs up in my mind, I observed the robot to see if its level was going to increase again.

1 minute....

2 minutes...

3 minutes.....boom

It was only in the third minute the level of the robot increased by another two making it level 34, followed by a punch from the robot that took a big part of lily's earth shield.

At this point, it was only a little more than 6 minutes since lily's fight started.

She has already passed the requirement to enter silver class and was aiming to enter gold class.

And though the robot was able to destroy the shield more now, it was still successful in stalling for time.

....

After three minutes the level of the robot increased by another two making it level 36.

At this point, this does not look like a test again, it was something else.

It's been 9 minutes since lily started her match with the robot, with only one minute left to qualify for gold class.

But after the robot level increased to level 36, the shield was starting to lose its purpose.

At most, it was only delaying the robot.

Holding my breath, I watched the robot destroy the shield at a visible rate.

With 10 seconds left to the 10 minutes mark, all that remained to lily's shield were its last layer which was the strongest, but seeing the way the robot was destroying it, I don't think it will last for long.

10 seconds remaining, the robot was about to reach lily....

1 second remaining, the robot has already destroyed the last layer of the shield, revealing the face of an exhausted lily.

With the robot's hand already raised to deliver another punch to stop this test, we heard a loud buzz signaling the end of the match when the robot's hand was only inches away from lily's face.

" Lily heart, Gold Class", the instructor's voice came immediately after the match ended.

Lily had a happy smile on her face when she heard this and waved at me with the last ounce of energy in her, with me replying her by waving back at her before a female senior came and supported her out of the arena.

"Agneya Flames, you're up next", the instructor said, with Agneya standing up and making her way to the arena.

'Well, would you look at that, and here I was, disappointed about not being able to witness Callan fight when I can experience a better one here'.

'Agneya Flames huh? let's see what you can do'
