Loot, A reaction from the sage physique.

Loot, A reaction from the sage physique.

I opened my eyes and found myself back in the ancient world, but instead of a forest, I was surrounded by mountains.

I looked around, turning left and right.

Could only finally relax after seeing that there was no monster in sight.

'I don't want to see a boss so soon after entering the ancient world,' I thought.

I walked forward slowly to a high point from which I could observe things from a distance, trying to keep my presence as low as possible.

'I need to learn a stealth skill or technique because I'm not very good at sneaking around.' 'Any powerful enough monster could detect me,' I thought.

This time, after climbing a relatively large mountain for a few minutes and reaching the top, I was able to see the surroundings from afar.

Just as I had imagined, the area I was in now was surrounded by mountains and nothing but rocks.

Not letting it bother me, I continued observing and discovered two locations, a little further away from here, were divided with golden lines, and above this line, were different regions.

One was a swamp, and the other was a forest, which was most likely where I came from.

I can tell that the golden line I see, divides the regions of this place. For example, I am in the mountain region and was killed in the forest region. Different regions/places.

With this in mind, I can say that unless I find a reason to stop teleporting at random, whenever I visit the ancient world, I will either end up in the same region or another, but as long as I know my way around, I will be fine.

'On the condition that I don't get killed by monsters on my way there,' I thought.

After settling my thoughts, I made my way down the mountain to a cave I noticed on my way here.

The cave was small, but not so small that a single person would feel crowded.

I took a sitting position and counted all the loot I had taken from the silver horses I had killed.

In the end, the total number of red orbs was 5, the same number as the blue orbs. The Purple orbs were the most numerous, totaling 8, while the Green orb and Skillbook fragments were only one.

With numbers like this, I don't I'll be mistaken to say different monsters give out different numbers of orbs even if they're from the same race. The red, blue, and especially the purple orbs are the common ones but the green orbs are rare, same with Skillbook fragments. Coins are likely to be the same, depending on the monster's level and race because I also got 33 diamond coins from the other silver horse. Meaning I got 66 diamond coins from killing both monsters.

I couldn't think about the orbs well because I was interrupted and killed by the monster at that time.

Though I may not understand everything, I can make some wild guesses about which of them is most likely to be correct.

Looking around, I don't believe I'll be attacked or attack anytime soon.

So I cast the analyze skill on the orbs and skillbook fragment once more.

[Red Orb],

Cosmos energy condensed to the extreme with a mix of divinity added to it.

Used to temper the body.

[Blue orb],

Cosmos energy condensed to the extreme with a mix of divinity added to it.

Used to temper mana, letting it have a trace of divinity.

[Purple orb],

Used to temper the cultivator's mind to have better comprehension abilities.

[Green orb],

Increases your affinity with your awakened element.

[Feather steps *skillbook fragment],

A fragment from the skill: Feather steps.

Collect all fragments of the skillbook to complete it.

.....

Cosmos energy and divinity. Just these two terms are enough to recall my days spent alone trying to understand high school mathematics.

Apart from Cosmos energy, which I know nothing of, I have some ideas about divinity. I suppose that's something Gods should have, right?

'Damn,' I groaned, seeing that this was going nowhere.

'It's better to just use the orb and see what it can do, right?' After several minutes of getting nowhere in trying to understand something my mind couldn't grasp, I decided to just use the orb and see if I could figure something out on my own.

Picking up the red orb first, I observed it because I don't know how to use it.

But the more I looked at the red orb, the more I noticed an unfamiliar yet familiar energy surrounding it.

'But I'm pretty sure I've never seen a red orb before in my life, so why does one of the energies surrounding it feel familiar?' I thought.

I didn't remember anything after thinking about it for a long time, so I forgot about it and tried to find ways to use the orb.

Finally, I tried using mana.

I tried to infuse my mana with the orb by circulating the mana in my body to my hands, every one of which held a red orb.

Immediately I did, I felt different types of energy mixed together in the orb.

The strange thing was that instead of chaos, there was harmony between these energies as if this was how the mixed energies were meant to be in the first place.

After attempting to understand so many strange things today and failing, I learned the meaning of the proverb, 'Never bite what you can't chew.'

So, instead of trying to understand the orb again, I tried to use my mana to 'pull' the energies inside the red orb out, and as if they sensed my intention, the red orb began to emit smoke, which began to enter my body as soon as they came out.

I was about to throw the orbs in my hands away because of the sudden change from the orb, but I stopped when I realized nothing bad was happening to my body, so I let the red smoke continue to enter my body while I observed the changes it brought to me.

Only when the orbs had shrunk to half their original size did my body begin to experience changes.

What appears to be black blood began oozing from various parts of my body.

Instead of being uneasy, I felt good.

'Are these the so-called impurities of my body mentioned in earth's classic cultivation novels? I thought.

As the orbs shrank in size, the amount of black blood coming out of my body increased to the point where it looked like black mud on my skin because the blood was only piled up in one place, and the worst part was that it smelled.

'I wonder what will happen when all the 'impurity' in my body is removed,' I couldn't help but think.

All was well as I tried to ignore the horrible smell of the black blood when, as if being sucked, the red orb immediately reduced to smoke and entered my body at a rate faster than the previous progress.

I was already scared that something went wrong during the absorption process, allowing me to waste the orb until I felt a change in my body that transformed my fear into excitement.

'Did my sage body physique I knew nothing about just react to the red orb now? I thought and called out the system in a hurry.
