Level 41 monster? Too powerful?

Level 41 monster? Too powerful?

[Adrea POV],

Being referred to as half step of a certain level simply means that you are either very close to breaking through to the next level, or you broke through but failed somewhere along the way, making you a level lower than your true level.

For example, if I was on the verge of reaching level 22 and only needed a slight push, I could be regraded to Half-step level 22.

And if I fail in my breakthrough but have far more powers than a level 21 should have, I can also be regarded as a Half-step level 22.

So, in my current situation, you could say that I am in front of a fake level 41.

The level above level 40 is the silver level.

And now, this fake level 41 is furious.

So, yes, I could be defined as royally f**ked.

And I don't think this monster might want to discuss reason with me, so without thinking much, I prepared myself to fight.

'Ever since I left the city, my entire mission in the ancient world has been to simply survive,' I couldn't help but think as I concentrated on what the ape was doing.

With a roar, it released its mana and gathered it into its fist as it punched at me.

In response, I subconsciously activated my aura before something happened that brought me and the monster to a halt.

As I summoned my aura, it appeared around me in black with a small amount of difficult-to-see purple mixed in.

But now, instead of the black aura that was mostly there before, there was a purple aura inside the black aura that was only an inch away from my body.

It is more accurate to call it violet rather than purple.

But this was not what brought the monster and me to a halt.

What brought us to a halt was the violet aura that surrounded me, but it was never aura in the first place, but rather the flame that appeared after I awakened the first stage in my physique.

"Grrrrrrrr", the monster growled at me once more, but this time it was low.

I was initially disheartened about being sent here right away after entering, but given the situation I'm in right now, isn't this the best training for me right now, especially after the previous power-ups?

Perhaps tired of being overly cautious, the ape charged at me with full force and mana surrounding it, forming an aura.

'So it's an aura user,' I thought, raising my fist and punching at the ape immediately it appeared beside me in an instant.

The monster raised both of its hands in an X shape to block my fist, then shook it off as it raised its own hand to punch me in the opposite direction. The punch connected, forcing me to change course.

Only came to a halt when my back was against an ancient tree that had probably been here for thousands of years because it could receive me flying towards it without breaking.

Of course, the area where my back was not spared and was partially destroyed.

'Damn, I felt like I could have dodged that, but my body movements are too stiff, my body control is messed up, and while the power-ups were great, learning to control them so they don't turn into a nuisance is another story," I thought.

With my back against the tree, I didn't even have time to think before the ape aimed another punch at my face.

I was able to dodge the attack this time by slightly twisting my head, allowing the punch aimed at my face to hit the tree behind me.

I punched the monster in the stomach hard, forcing it backward like a sack that had been thrown by force. I didn't want to waste this opportunity where the monster would be unable to attack me for a brief moment.

Without allowing the monster to recover, I jumped a little, tilted my body so that my legs were just in front of the tree and my body position looked like I was going to fall face flat, and then I used my legs to hit the tree as a means to push myself forward towards the monster, making it appear as like I was flying.

I appeared right in front of the monster and punched its face, sending its head to the ground, causing cracks to appear before a hole finally appeared.

I ignored this and continued punching the monster while it defended itself.

Unfortunately, the flow was broken when I received an uppercut punch from the ape, which was followed by a jab to the face and a hook punch that sent me flying in another direction.

Without being able to do anything, my back collided with something I couldn't identify because all I felt was pain.

I felt like passing out as I felt a warm, wet liquid substance on my face and the taste of copper in my mouth, as well as a stinging pain right between my eyes that made my vision blurry.

Unlike the previous 'bronze attack' I've seen, this one came from a legitimate powerhouse with a power level very close to a true silver level.

I was trying to ignore the dizzy feeling and shaking my head to get my visions right when I saw the ape throw another punch at my face.

I raised my hands subconsciously to defend my face while infusing mana into my arms, producing the same violet flames as before.

Steeling my body to receive the punch......nothing happened.

I opened my eyes, puzzled, to see something that left me speechless.

Everything in a three-meter radius around me was engulfed in violet flames.

The orbs I saw on the ground where the ape had been stunned me the most.

"Isn't this a little too powerful?" I thought as I stared in awe and confusion at the violet flames in my hand.

"GRRRRRR"

Similar to the now-dead ape's growl but much stronger, I saw a gigantic ape looking at me with anger in its eyes and rage on its face.

"Bully the child, and his mother comes to take care of it, but in my case, I killed the child," I thought as I looked at the massive ape in front of me and said with an expressionless face;

"I'm fucked."
