What the hell is he fighting?

Rimuru pov*

I was sitting on Shizu san's lap...don't judge me. She's my destined one so I am allowed to do this.

We were inside one of the tents with Azure, Magnolia and Carla. The tent was well lit with a wide table in the middle adorned with different dishes. The most delicious looking being the grilled meat.

'I wish i could taste...' I mentally thought, i was pretty much hoping for Great sage to say that it was possible. Unfortunately the reply never came.

The four of them were eating with wide smiles on their faces. Shizu san as well was eating without her mask on.

" Hey!! That's too much!!" Azure called out to Carla with a worried face. Carla who was eating a plate full of nothing but meat just replied with a shrug before continuing her meal. "Yeah. I highly doubt you'd be able to walk off the fat in your body after that meal..." Magnolia said with an equally worried tone.

Carla smirked and tapped her legs. "Its no problem at all. All the fat goes to my thighs and butt!!!" She said with a proud look. Man I wished I had that kind off confidence...now that I look though her thighs look heavenly...

NO! BAD SLIME!! YOU ARE ON YOUR DESTINED ONE'S THIGHS!! APPRECIATE WHAT YOU HAVE!!!

Hmm...wonder why he activated it now. Did he get into a fight with someone or something?

Meh. He'll probably crush whoever he is fighting.

"So. This is the last day huh?" I said, the four girls looked at me. Magnolia smirked. " heh don't worry Rimuru-dono we'll be there in your heart~" She teased me, I had told them about the take care of my heart thing that Regulus said to me, apparently I shouldn't have..."Oh!! You are blushing" Carla said as she pointed at me "Sh-Shut up!! Slime's don't change colors" I said as I turned away and faced Shizu-san's stomach I could hear her melodic laugh as Azure tried to stop Carla and Magnolia's teasing...I really hope slime don't change colors...

*Hatti pov*

(I think this is the first time Hatti got a Pov.)

We were high up in the sky flying towards where Regulus-sama had said The slime's village was located. "Ne ne~ are you sure we did the right thing my leaving him alone?" Puck, the ice spirit that Regulus-sama had, basically, adopted said from besides me.

He was annoying to be honest but I would be the first to say that his battle prowess was beyond what I was capable of at the moment. In fact the only people that would be able to beat him in our group were most probably Regulus-sama himself and Reinhard-dono. It felt frustrating to be honest. The fact that I was the weakest in the group despite being his first subordinate....

I looked at Puck and gave a frim nod. "Of course. Regulus-sama is strong I have no doubt that he is capable of what ever that fairy throws at him."

"Well if you say so..." he said with suspicious tone. "By the way. Is it true?" He asked again. I began to loqer myself to the ground since I was nearing the lizard man territory. While I was sure that I would be able to win against them Regulus-sama said not to get involved in fights.

"About what?" I asked as I neared to the ground below. "That he knows the future?" He asked again.

My feet touched the ground but instead of walking I simply stood silently...

"I am not sure...He predicted the exact way I would die and told me what to do when it happened but I've seen him apologizing for messing with the present so much that he no longer knows what will happen..." I gave the most honest answer I could think of.

Puck seemed lost in thought "i see..." he said but he seemed still in thought.

I decided not to pry and just told him to follow me as I started to walk.

*Elsa Pov*

"Mou~ the mission was a failure huh..." I said. Too Reinhard who was sitting on the rock opposite to me.

We were on the outskirts of the  Great forest of jura having some well needed rest after their mission went south. We were next to an abandoned shrine of sorts sitting on one of the rocks that littered the area.

Reinhard nodded his head in a dazed state. "Yeah..." he said causing me to sigh. He had been like this ever since the mission failed...well kinda. The mission had actually been mostly a success its just the fact that they had failed to complete it exactly as Regulus-sama had told us. And for us, Reinhard in particular, meant that this was a failure.

I pouted and poked him on his cheeks causing his head to shoot up and look at my eyes. "Look at me while you speak" with a pout before giving him a smile "okay?~"

He smiled in return. It made my chest feel...something...I am not sure what exactly it is...Is it nervousness? But then again why would I feel nervous around him?

"Sure don't worry." He said with the smile still on his face, clasped my hand in his own aa he looked at me with those eyes. I am not sure what this feeling is...but I wish this moment went on forever...

*snap*

The smile on both our faces fell down as we clasped our chests.

A thin trail of tears fell from my eyes.

What is this...?

I looked at Reinhard. He was having a similar situation to mine with tears going down his face. But unlike me who wasn't understanding anything he had a look of morbid horror on his face...

What the hell is this?!

It felt like I was watching my sister die again. The earlier feeling towards Reinhard had completely dissapeared and had gotten replaced by one of pure sadness

Just...what the hell is this..?

Soon enough I lost conciousness.

*with Hatti and puck*

The two were both on the ground neither were in any physical pain but for some reason they both had tears running down there faces.

Puck was doing better but Hatti who was bawling his eyes out was in no condition to walk so they decided to stay here.

Puck had no idea what was happening but he decided to not ask Hatti. The man qaa doing worse than him after all.

*with Rimuru*

Everything was going fine untill out of nowhere Rimuru got an alert from Great sage.

Alert : Lion's heart removed due to lack off user.

'Wait...what?.."

A loud sound of shattering plates prevented me from asking great sage. I looked at the direction to see Carla and Magnolia clutching their chests as tears started to stream down there faces.

Shortly after they heard a thud as Azure fell down to the floor also clutching her heart. With tears running down her face.

Shizu-san quickly rose up and moved to the three calling out there names in a worried tone...

The entire scene went on for about 3 minutes before...

Alert : Lion's reattached.

"Huh?"

*back with Elsa and Reinhard.*

"ELSA!!ELSA!!?" Reinhard worriedly called out to Elsa who was unconcious in his arms. Slowly she opened her eyes. Reinhard smiled as she fully opened her eyes. "Thank god...are yo-" he was silenced by Elsa wrapping her hands around him, tightly clinging to him as though she was afraid he would dissapear anymoment....

"Elsa?" He called out but wrapped his hands around her regardless

"What...what was that feeling?" She asked as she snuggled into his neck.

"...Regulus sama has a skill" Reinhard began. "An extremely strong skill that skips an evolution of anyone he names. He used this skill on all of us. And it seems that it, somehow, connected us to him on a spiritual level..." he said as he paused before moving his hand to Elsa's head as he bagan to stroke it lightly Attempting to calm her down.

"That pain just now...it was the connection getting cut and that pain...it was the remnants of the connection making us mourn his death without even realising it...."

Elsa eyes widened as she looked up at him.

"His...death?"

"That'a right...but...Saint tells me that the connection is back on. That he is still alive..."

"Then...that would mean..."

"That's right...for three minutes straight Regulus-sama was dead..."
