Chapter 14 Exploring the town

"So what's the next step" Mia asked them, Andrew and Jane were staring at each other as if they were having a staring competition. Mia rolled her eyes at their childish behaviour.

"I think we should go and ask the guard, who let us in the town, about the dragon" Jane suggested looking towards Mia, "I don't think that's a good idea" Andrew interrupted making Jane angry.

"Why it's not a good idea" Jane questioned with a frown on her face. "Don't you think he will suspect us, if we suddenly go and ask about Ryoko" Mia nodded her head agreeing to Andrew's thoughts.

"Then tell us a better idea, if you have any" Jane told him in a challenging tone, making Andrew a bit angry, "Okay so, how about we go and explore the town" Mia and Jane looked at him as if he had grown two horns.

Mia stared at Jane, as she busted in laughter, Jane was holding her stomach while she laughed loudly, "So this is your plan, to go and explore the town, are we on a trip" Jane said in between her laughter.

Mia was looking at Andrew, she knew it was more than just exploring the town. "Let him finish what he was trying to say Jane"

Mia told Jane making her stop laughing. Mia sat down in front of Andrew, waiting for him to finish his sentence.

"So I was saying that, while we explore the town, we might be able to find the place where Ryoko lives" listening to Andrew plan, both the girl's nodded, Mia thought it was the best, no one will suspect them and they might even find the orange rose.

"I think this plan will work" Mia said looking at Andrew who had a proud look on his face, while Jane just nodded her head.

"We will leave in fifteen minutes, so get ready" Andrew said as he made his way towards their balcony, while jane sat on the bed. Mia took her clothes and went to get ready.

Mia wore a blue jeans with a white plain top, she left her hair open, she wore white shoes.

When she was ready, she went out and saw Jane was also ready, Jane was wearing a green colour dress with sunflowers on them, Mia had a questioning look in her eyes, how can Jane get ready so fast, when she heard Jane's voice " it's magic Mia".

Mia nodded her head as she went towards the balcony, she saw Andrew was talking on the phone, he was wearing blue jeans and a white shirt, they were wearing matching outfits which made her smile.

Mia didn't disturb him and went inside their room, within a minute Andrew came inside and asked them "Ready"

Mia nodded her head while Jane said " Yes dad" Andrew frowned when he heard Jane call him dad. "Don't call me that" Andrew pointed his finger giving Jane a warning,

" But you are my dad here, aren't you" Jane said showing her puppy eyes to him. Andrew growled as he rubbed his hands on his face in frustration.

Mia chuckled at them making Andrew turn towards her as he told Jane " Then why don't you call her mom" Mia stared at him in disbelief, how can he say that " let's go mom" Jane said looking towards Mia.

Mia looked at Andrew, he had a smirk on his face making Mia roll her eyes at him. "Yes let's go my angel" saying that Mia took Jane with her, leaving Andrew stunned.

The town was really mesmerising in Mia's eyes, there were some shops that were selling fruits, vegetables, they even had a bakery shop.

The people here were so different, some had wings on their back while some were like the guards that she saw on the gate. Some women were having long braided hair which they were using to hold their bags.

When one of the women looked her way Mia turned her face away, hoping that women doesn't suspect them,

"where are you people going" Mia heard someone as they turned around it was the guard who let them in.

"We are just going to explore the town a bit" Andrew answered with a smile on his face, Mia has never seen him smile, he looked more handsome with a smile. Mia shook her head at this thoughts.

"You people can't go around here, it's not safe for you" guard said in a firm voice as a warning for them to go back, "So how about you show us around" Mia suggested Making the guard look at her, Andrew gave her an angry look, "Yes, please" Jane interrupted them.

The guard sighed at them and nodded his head, one thing was clear, Mia knew those people can't refuse kids.

Mia saw a lot of houses some were looking like a haunted house while some looked like abandoned places. The guard showed them a lot of places in the town, but they didn't found the place where that dragon lived.

Mia saw Andrew kept looking behind him as if he was trying to find someone " what are you looking at" Mia asked him in a small voice hoping that the guard doesn't hear them, " I think someone is following us" Andrew said making Mia frown, no one knew them here who could follow them.

"We can't go any further from here' the guard stopped in front of a path that went towards a forest, there was a big black mansion beside the path, making Mia confused but when she looked at Andrew and Jane's face she knew this was the place they were trying to find.
