Tia's cell door creaked as I stepped inside. She perked up right away, eyes full of hope. "You're back! What did you find?"

I leaned against the wall, arms crossed. "Not a ton, but I did find out a few things. The rovers are investigating your room, but Jack Hammer's been keeping a close watch. Probably making sure no one messes with anything that might contradict his story."

Tia's face fell, frustration bubbling beneath the surface. "Jack… of course."

I nodded. "He's causing a lot of trouble. The guild's trying to keep it from becoming a bigger mess, but they're limited in what they can do. Jack's putting on quite the show."

She gave me a small, grateful smile. "You've found out so much already. Thank you."

"Don't mention it," I replied. "But information's just that. What we really need is evidence—something solid that'll hold up in court."
