A moment later, Asfi returned to reality and provided us with a sufficient answer.

"Lady Brynhildr was not with me during that time. She was out for work. The last order she gave me was… 'Take care of yourself.'"

Her creator saying words like that could've mean that she won't be returning for a long time.

"Mwhat? *gulp* Lady Brynhildr said that? Where did she go after that?"

"She departed to the Empire. That's the last time I ever saw her."

"Hmmf… I see. You're not with Lady Brynhildr at that time," I turned my head to Ryza. "Seems like Lady Brynhildr is off the list now, Ryza. From her recorded data, she can't be the one who opted for her destruction."

For some reason, I smelled a sense of hatred from her towards Asfi's creator.

"You seem to be obsessed with the idea of Lady Brynhildr as the culprit. Is there something going on between you and her?"
