The Assignment

The time was well past the events of the Jenzaya Extinction. Preparations were being made for the upcoming Metatron Tournament just around the corner. Overseer Uriel was contacting Overseer Chamuel from the surface.

"Chamuel, I think I've finally found a use for that prototype you'd finished a while ago."

"Who? Jasper?"

"Yeah. The dual-wielding soldier. We can use him in the Metatron Tournament."

"You're going to have to ask Michael about it. The prototype is now a super-soldier under Michael's name."

"Tsk… Just relay my message then."

"Tell me."

Uriel smiled excitedly. "Me and Greed discussed an idea for one of the Specialized Phases near the end of the tournament. Maybe somewhere around just 25 contenders remaining…"

"I'm listening…"

"We'll use the South City, er… Jenzaya District, for the Specialized Phase. For the objective, the contenders must find and defuse a time-bomb hidden somewhere in the city. But the catch is: there'll be defenders roaming around. Specifically, Angels, Seraphim, and maybe even some Cherubim."

"And you want the prototype to be one of the defenders going around, correct?"

"Yep," Uriel nodded. "You using your third eye on me through the phone or something, Chamuel?"

"No, you're just very predictable."

Uriel laughed. "Just put in the request for me to Michael, will you? If he has any problems with the idea, tell him to contact me back directly. Through my office phone! Not my personal number, please. I'm very busy with the CEO responsibilities of Initiate Co., you know?"

"Alright," Chamuel sighed. "I'll put in your request."

"Thanks so much again, three-eyes! I'm excited for the upcoming tournament! See you soon!"

The call was then hung up. Chamuel smirked under his exhale, excited to know that his prototype would finally be making his return to the public eye. Though it would not be as the Virtue of Forgiveness, but simply as a man in black.
