I step out of the car my heels clicking into the gravel. I already regrets agreeing to come I think to myself stepping away from the car I wait for the rest of my family to get out. I feel a pit in my stomach but brush it off as nervousness I hate dances so I don't think anything of it. After everyone else gets out we walk into the ball room my and my moms heels clicking against the gravel lightly. The second we walk into the ball room I know I'm way under dressed most girls are in big poofy skirts and bedazzled or laced tops. I'm used to it though I hate dressing up so when I do I only dress in my style my parents disapprove of it but it's my choice and if they want me coming to these stupid events then I will dress however I want to. As we're walking greeting other alphas and Lunas the sweet smell of my mate enters my nose. Why would he be here though he's a human I think to myself to which my wolf responds "no he's just a late shifter but I talked to Jake and he's going to make a appearance on his birthday in a few days" she says clearly excited. I walk around greeting alphas, lunas, and members from other packs of the alliance. I play a few games with the pups before going to a seating area and pulling out my phones I play on my phone for a bit feeling my social battery depleting fast. "Hey" I hear from a mystery voice "hello" I say not bothering to look at the mystery voice. "Uh what's your name?" " who's asking" I look up to find my mate looking down at me I blush "Eliza I'm Eliza and you are" "Luke nice to meet you that's a beautiful name Eliza" he smiles god he's so gorgeous. He's going to reject you I remind myself trying not to let my mind wonder.
