Chapter 28

-Sakura's POV-

Just over half an hour passed after Sasori was summoned away before my phone rang with an incoming call from the redhead himself. A smile tugged at my lips when he spoke more casually than before after I answered, "Hey Sakura, babe. Sorry again for stepping out on you like that."

I took another sip of whiskey as I slouched lazily on the sofa, "No worries. Work's important."

A loud thump sounded from his end of the line, followed by multiple men jokingly arguing about something, but I couldn't make out a word they were saying. Sasori yelled at them to shut up before sighing and speaking with an irritated tone, "The guys want to know if they can come over and meet you." More arguing came from his end of the line, albeit more hushed than before.

I shot up from my relaxed position and frantically looked around for anything that may need tidied before guests would arrive, "Um, yeah. Sure, no problem!" A knock came at the door and I got to my feet to answer it, "I'll see you in a bit then. Later!" I heard him bid me farewell before clicking the phone call to a close and pulling the door open.

Ino pushed past me with a massive paper bag in her arms, "Move or I'm gonna drop something!"

I stepped out of the way and closed the door once she passed it, "I love you so much, babe, but what are you doing here and what the hell is all that?"

The model carefully sat the bag on the dining table before letting out a sigh of relief and turning to face me with her hands on her hips and a stern expression on her beautiful face, "I need a girls' night and I knew if I called ahead you'd try and get out of it."

I pointed at her with a playful glare, "Don't act like you know me, Pig."

She pulled me into a headlock with one arm and ruffled my hair with the other, "Don't act like I'm wrong, Forehead! You've been nervous about partying since we went to Masquerade back then. Don't think I haven't noticed you fake sipping your drinks when we're all out to dinner!" I pulled away from her with a frown, wordlessly trying to convince her to stop talking about the sensitive subject, but she shook her head at me, "Nuh uh, bitch! We are going to get white girl wasted and everything will be fine because we're in the privacy and safety of your dorm!"

I took a peek into the brown bag and saw the familiar cap of an expensive brand of tequila before giving her a relenting smile, "Fine," I addressed her statement from before, "But why do you need a girls' night? Did something happen?"

The woman turned and began taking the bottles of liquor out of the sack as she explained in a semi-angry voice, "Kankuro and I are done!"

I rolled my eyes, "I thought you guys broke up weeks ago."

Ino sighed loudly, "We did, but now we're completely done!"

Sensing she wanted to talk about it, I pushed further, "Alright, what happened?"

"That asshole had the audacity to text another woman right in front of me! Can you believe that shit?"

A scoff passed my lips, "Why do you care if he's talking to someone? You're broken up."

The blond turned on her heel and pointed her finger at me with a serious expression, "You know damn well that I'm not about to entertain any man who doesn't give me his full attention and so does he."

I laughed, coming over to help her unbag the drinks, "So you're officially back on the market then?"

The woman nodded with her aura perking up substantially, "Mama's on the prowl, baby!" She stiffened slightly before tilting her head at me, "Have you already been drinking? I smell whiskey." I grinned sheepishly, rubbing the back of my head.

She faced me with a look of shock on her modelesque features, "Why?"

I waved my hand in dismissal, my face heating up ever so slightly, "Sasori and I were having a drink and he got called out for work."

She wiggled her eyebrows at me, "Ooh! You guys got interrupted by Konan, didn't you? Are you pissed?"

I put up my hands in defense, "No, It's not like that! The Akatsuki boys are supposed to be on their way here with Sasori anyway!"

Ino's entire persona changed up at the mention of attractive celebrities-to-be joining us, "Why didn't you say that first, you idiot! Did you not just hear me say I was on the prowl? I need to freshen up!" She was actively adjusting her bra to make her breasts seem even perkier as she sped in the direction of the bathroom. I shook my head at her antics before turning to finish unbagging the alcohol.

My friend hollered from the bathroom, "So what were you two doing together while all alone and drinking alcohol?"

The tone of her voice insinuated she knew exactly what we were doing and my blush warmed further, "Shut the hell up!"

She popped her head out from the hall with a mischievous grin, "Did you show him that cute lingerie set I bought for you?" I stomped toward her, making her squeal and laugh loudly as she ran back to the bathroom, "I'm just joking!"

About half an hour later, I was almost re-sobered up and nervously fixing my hair as I leaned against the dining table when I heard the familiar ding of the elevator followed by the undeniable sound of men laughing. Ino threw back a shot of tequila and slapped me roughly on the back, "Show time, babe. I'll distract the Akatsuki boys so you can pick up where you left off with your boy-toy." I shot her a playful glare, to which she threw me a wink in response.

The door opened without anyone knocking and I was surprised to see Sasori with only two others in tow. He gave me a discreet apologetic look before pulling me into a hug. I accepted the action, noticing that his cologne was different from earlier, but it still smelled amazing. He probably took some time to freshen up. My face warmed at the thought that he wanted me to think he smells nice.

When he pulled out of the hug, he kept one arm around my waist before introducing me to the other two young men. Ino shut the door behind them quietly, but I saw her looking them up and down shamelessly as she walked around. When she noticed that I'd noticed, she gave me a thumbs up as if to say "not bad".

"This is Yahiko, Akatsuki's leader."

He motioned to an attractive man who could literally be anywhere from the ages of twenty one to thirty. It really was hard to tell. He had orange spiky hair, countless piercings, and a kind yet slightly stoic aura about him. His style mirrored that of Konan, which made a lot of sense considering the fact that she's their mentor.

I accepted his outreached hand and shook it eagerly, "Nice to meet you! If what Kakashi and Tenten tell me is true, we'll be seeing a lot of each other."

He nodded and offered a small smile, but didn't say anything in response. I didn't take offense because he seemed like the quiet type anyway. Maybe he's similar to Sasuke in that he's incredibly good at acting when in front of cameras or fans.

When he pulled his hand away, Sasori gestured to the other person, "This is Deidara, he's the visual of the group."

When I say this man was beautiful, I mean prettier than me or most of the women I've met in my lifetime. He had long blonde hair that was pulled up into a messy bun except for his bangs, which fell to the side and seemed to have a habit of falling over his eye. If it weren't for his muscular body and deep voice, it'd be hard to tell if he was a man or woman.

He shook my hand as well, a grin on his lips, "Sasori's told us good things about you, but he failed to mention that you're even prettier in person than in the photos!"

Just like that, I knew he was a complete and total flirt. So he not only looks like Ino, but acts like her too. My face burned slightly and I tried to hide my blush behind one of my hands, "Oh, thank you!"

Sasori gave the blonde man a glare before pulling me with him to the table to pour us a drink. Ino went to work talking up the two new arrivals, twirling a strand of her blond hair as she spoke. Both men seemed intrigued so maybe her plan would end up working after all.

"Hidan and Kisame will be here in a few minutes. I hope it's okay that they bring a few friends with them. Ino texted and said you wanted to have a party."

I froze and looked at the woman in question with an expression of disbelief. She had a deer-caught-in-the-headlights look for a moment before giving me a sheepish grin, "Let's have fun while you have some time off!" She jokingly shook her fist at Sasori for spilling the beans before turning back to face the others.

There was another knock at the door and Ino motioned for Sasori and I to continue getting our drinks while she went to answer it. My boyfriend handed me a glass and clinked his own against it before we both took a drink. To my surprise, when I pulled the cup away from my lips, he pressed his mouth against mine in a quick peck. I nearly choked in shock and put a hand on my cheek to try and soothe the blush that rose as a result.

A familiar cackle met my ears and I turned to see Ino letting Tenten, Gaara, Sasuke, and a woman I didn't recognize into the room. This lady had to be the one I'd heard moaning earlier: Sasuke's piece of the week. Tenten and the mystery woman were the only ones of the bunch that looked happy to be here. The two boys looked like they'd rather be anywhere else.

Ino pulled Tenten and Gaara by their arms to Sasori and I as Deidara turned some music on the stereo rather loudly. Tenten helped herself to pour a drink, forcing one into Gaara's hands with an empathic look before giving me an accusing look, "How dare you try to throw a party without inviting us!" We hugged.

When I pulled back, I met Gaara's eye and gave him a sympathetic smile that he responded to with a reassuring shake of his head. Things had gone back to normal between us for the most part, but he keeps his distance when Sasori's around. If I had to guess, he was trying to avoid potentially butting heads with him and while I was happy his intentions were good, I disliked that he thought I'd ever sit back and do nothing if I became aware of such a situation.

He, thankfully, spoke before I could fumble over my words trying to break the tension, "Where's Hinata?"

Sasuke gestured his head toward her closed bedroom door with a smirk, "Hiding, I bet." Tenten slapped his chest playfully without ever looking away from me.

"She's actually on a date with Kiba." Everyone's mouths made an "o" shape and Sasuke's lady-friend pulled him away from the liquor table so they could introduce themselves to the two Akatsuki members that were present.

The door opened once more and I turned to see a small group of people that I didn't know let themselves in and started dancing and laughing in the middle of the floor. My face paled and Sasori laughed, urging me to finish my drink quickly so he could introduce me to the other two Akatsuki members that were apparently in this group of newcomers. I tilted my head back and chugged the rest of my drink, Ino and Tenten letting out supportive hollers.

The moment I sat the empty cup down, I felt my buzz from earlier return in full and let a small giggle slip past my lips. Sasori gave me one of his rare smiles and pulled me against him into a deep kiss. I could feel my face burning with a mixture of the alcohol and the memory of what we'd been interrupted doing earlier.

Ino teased me loudly, "Mission success!"

We parted ways and the two other women pulled me away before anyone could stop them. They made me dance with them while leaving the two red headed young men at the alcohol table. If I was sober, I probably would've been worried about them getting along, but that wasn't the case so I just danced and had a good time. I'd completely forgotten about meeting the other two Akatsuki members.

Within a blink of an eye, I'm back at the table doing shots with the others with Sasori standing behind me. His arms were around my waist as Ino and I chatted with Aiko, Sasuke's current fling.

Another blink and I was wrestling Ino's cell phone away as she tried to drunk text Kankuro and tell him to come over.

It was as though there was a time skip, once more, and suddenly I was lying on my back on my bed and Sasori was on top of me how he'd been earlier on the sofa. My body was on fire. He was kissing me in quite the opposite way as earlier, full of excitement and energy.

His tongue pressed dominantly around mine as his hands explored my body, making me realize that my shirt was pulled all the way up so my bra was showing. The drunken haze over my brain refused to let me panic and instead I enjoyed the feeling of his calloused fingers against my skin, pressing into his touch eagerly.

I pulled my lips from his after a moment and his danced hungrily down to my neck. My arms were around him, one on his back and the other tangled in his hair, "How'd we get here?" I could tell even in my drunken haze that my words were slurred.

He chuckled, moving lower to press his lips against the bare skin of my stomach, just above my navel, "You're the one who pulled me in here."

Chills ran down my spine when his hot breath dusted my skin and he frantically came back up to shove his tongue into my mouth once more. It was incredibly obvious that he wanted to go further and I wasn't sure if I wanted to stop him from doing so in my inebriated state. Everything felt like a dream: the touch of his hands, the taste of his tongue, the way he pressed against my body.

A soft sound got lost between our mouths when I felt his hand dance down to unbutton my jean shorts and I expected him to continue, but another one of those weird, drunken time skips occurred and I was suddenly back at the table taking shots with everyone except for Tenten, Gaara, and Sasori.

Something had to have happened, that much I could realize, but I was too far gone to focus on the thought and simply let myself get lost in the great time I was having once more.

-Hinata's POV-

Kiba remained at my side like he was glued there as we were reluctantly peer-pressured into taking a couple more shots apiece by Ino and Sakura. Sasuke and Aiko seemed to have made up from their earlier spat because they were heatedly making out in the hall near the bathroom. Sakura and Ino were giggling as they conversed in some kind of made up, drunken language that only the two of them could understand.

My thumb ran nervously over the rim of my cup as I looked around the dorm, picturing the clean up we'd be stuck with in the morning.

Kiba and I were standing side by side in the kitchen, leaning against the counter and simply taking in the room as we tried not to bring attention to ourselves. A large part of me wanted to go dance in the small crowd of people in the living room, but I wasn't nearly drunk enough for that and settled for tapping my fingers. I'd taken five shots in total and the drink in my cup was tequila mixed with some kind of soda with cherry juice in it, but I was going to cut myself off after this one. I'd hate to get embarrassingly drunk in front of all these people.

Kiba's voice registered at my side, but I couldn't make out the words so I turned and cocked my head at him so I could hear better when he repeated himself. His dark tanned skin was red on his cheekbones, ears, and the bridge of his nose. He looked so handsome and cute that I couldn't help but smile at him.

I heard him clearly then, "Do you wanna go somewhere quieter?" I nodded and bravely pulled him along by his hand into my bedroom, shutting the door behind us. The loud music was slightly muffled behind the closed door, so we didn't have to raise our voices to hear one another anymore.

Kiba sat on the edge of the bed with his usual wolfish grin spread wide across his face, "This room is so you."

My eyes danced over his appearance shamelessly as I took another sip of my drink before tossing my purse onto the nightstand and sitting the cup next to it. He undoubtedly noticed my wandering gaze and returned the curious glances with his own.

"How's that?"

His large hand clasped over my wrist and I was easily pulled over to stand in front of him, "It's purple and pretty, like you." If I was blushing, I couldn't tell because my face was already warm due to the alcohol. His words were very slightly heavier than usual, telling me he was also affected by the drinks we'd had.

A small giggle left my mouth and I grinned happily at the handsome man, "Thank you. You're pretty, too."

He let out a gruff chuckle before parting his bent legs and pulling me lightly in between them so he could reach up with his free hand and gently caress my jaw. Chocolate brown eyes searched mine in silence for a few moments before I found myself reaching up to lightly wrap my fingers around his wrist. The skin beneath my fingers was so hot and it made me feel all weird and light inside.

"I want to kiss you so badly right now."

Maybe it was the alcohol or maybe it was just a culmination of my steadily growing feelings for the Inuzuka man, especially after such a nice first date, but I didn't stop him when his other arm wrapped around my waist to pull me closer so he could gently press his lips to mine. It was cautious and hesitant and then he pulled back to look me in the eye again.

Those deep brown eyes danced between my lips and eyes for a moment before the hand on my jaw carefully slid back so he could wrap his fingers in my hair before pulling me back in for another kiss. It was warm. Kiba pulled back ever so slightly, this time, so our noses were still touching as we wordlessly looked at one another. I gently raised my hand up to run through his hair before letting it rest at the back of his neck and leaning back in to continue kissing him. This time, we didn't part.

Slowly and steadily, the kiss became more confident and the room seemed to simultaneously get warmer until both of his hands suddenly came down to hold my hips and he pulled away just long enough to say, "Come here," before his lips got right back to dancing excitedly with mine.

My body seemed to know what he wanted even though I mentally couldn't focus on his words and I found my hands on his shoulders as I climbed up to straddle his hips on the edge of the bed. Strong arms wrapped around my waist to make sure I didn't fall and he angled his head slightly so I wouldn't have room to escape.

This wasn't anything like what it felt like to kiss Naruto. I recalled feeling a bit underwhelmed by the Uzumaki man's lack of eagerness, but that wasn't the case when it came to Kiba. It was there, the passion I wanted to feel.

There was a quick knock on the door, but I heard it open before either of us could pull away. My eyes shot open in realization of what we must look like and I tore my lips from his, much to his disappointment. When I turned my head to see who was there, my heart dropped into my stomach when my eyes locked with Sasuke's. He looked stunned to the core like he was staring at a ghost.

No one moved for a moment and it felt like it lasted years before it was like a dam broke and I scrambled off of Kiba's lap, "S-Sasuke!" For some reason, a heavily guilty feeling swept over me the moment I realized it was him who'd caught me doing something so risque, but I quickly shook those emotions away because they made absolutely no sense.

The Uchiha man seemed to snap out of whatever trance he'd been in and the unguarded surprise on his face was quickly masked by his usual smirk, "I'm impressed, Hyuuga."

My face burnt hot and I felt my hands curl into fists at my sides as I glared at him, but I couldn't find any words to say. He seemed a bit taken back by that fact, but quickly overcame it by putting his hands in front of him defensively, "Sorry for interrupting. Carry on." He shot me a wink before closing the door again, leaving me drunk and confused about the odd vibe he had just then.

Copping it down to both of us being drunk, I decided to ignore it and turned to face Kiba with the intention of picking up where we left off, only to see that he'd fallen back onto the mattress and fallen asleep in that short amount of time. A sigh passed my lips as I grinned to myself. The Inuzuka man was just as much of a light-weight as me, it seemed.

Feeling as though he wouldn't mind so long as I don't do anything inappropriate, I took his shoes off and struggled for a few minutes to move his body where it was laying correctly on the bed before tossing back the remainder of the drink in my cup and climbing in next to him. Even if we'd just made out, I was too nervous to touch him so I simply lay on my side to face him and studied his relaxed, cute face until sleep finally took over.
