The Siege [2/4]

Blake turned to stare at the dangling hovercraft. The spear had pierced the tentacles but failed to do any damage to it, but this time Blake realised that it would be good if the tentacles gets chopped off. The Monk was standing on the sledge, which was off great advantage to him. If the tentacles, holding the hovercraft in the air gets off the hold, perhaps it may move away from the roof top with no particular anchor to put the craft to a stop. Blake smiled, at least his life would no longer be threatened. He would fight the Lieutenants with much peace.

One of the evil immortal landed fully on him and he was thrown off guard by the sudden attack, the [Night Tide] was somehow thrown out of his grasp and then the next minute, it was falling over the roof edge. But Blake really didn't have to worry about that. He dismissed the sword while using the [Azure Blade] to counter all of their attacks. Blake realised one thing, if he indeed tries to slash the tentacles holding the hovercraft himself, the Monk might most definitely find out and probably would attack him even before the hovercraft disengages. So the plan was to actually let the fight grow so intense between him and the immortals and they would begin to exert all of their power.

Blake dodged a downward slash that was made to chop his legs into parts and the using the tip of the [Azure Blade] he probbed one of the Lieutenant's sharp Tachi. Instead of it going left to his left elbow, he instead made it go upwards.

And the there was a sudden clash on the roof top.

One of the Lieutenants who's [Ability] was an eternal strength, landed right in front of Blake and thrusts a powerful mace at Blake which he dodged using the [Legion Stale] and then attacking two immortals with the [Azure Blade].

The next minute, the [Night Tide] appeared out of nowhere and then he lunged it forward aiming for the heart of one immortal and then he twisted the blade, only for him to jump backwards, sliding the blade back out which did another damage. He just avoided the tentacles of the Monk from reaching him.

"That's cheating you know."

Blake hissed at him and Lord Monk smiled cheapishly at him as if saying his apologies.

One immortal lunged at him with a fierce prowess. Another fell down dead and then they gasped.

[You have slained an Immortal Blake Listerio, your ablity has evolved...]

[You have recieved new abilities.]

[You now have a Status!]

Blake didn't have all the time to be happy about this, he still have more Lieutenants to slain so he didn't bother checking his new Status.

Blake dodged an incoming attack from one of the immortals and then instead of colliding with Blake, it collided with the tentacles shooting into the roof. The hovercraft aboe swayed as if being threatened to be destroyed in mere seconds. Before Blake could attack, a [Dark Armour] appeared into his skin and then, two long spear crossed behind his back. The Lieutenants were speechless.

"Never heard of [Hollow Mountain] before? That's where I store my weapons."

Blake said to them with a grim expression contorted on his face.

"You... you!"

Marshall sneered at Blake and blurred instantly and ramming powerfully into Blake which threw him several steps back and making the agonizing pain tear through his body. If the roof of the Cathedral wasn't that wide, Blake would have fallen over and into the dark expanse.

'Curse it all...'

Blake dismissed the both sword and spat out a mouth full of blood. What in the world, Blake didn't expect Marshall to be this extreemly powerful. What about the other guy? Blake hissed.

'Yes that guy that whiped him down in the basement'

Blake didn't want to fight Marshall alone now, he needed his strength so as to defeat other Lieutenants. Blake then focussed on his soul and summoned his Status...

Blake shifted uncomfortably in his position as he had taken a glimps of his ability.

'What is Levity?'

Does that means he could levitate objects? Blake wondered.

He made sure to put his focus on his surrounding so as to avoid getting brutally attacked.

Blake stared at the convulsing tentacles shooting into the roof and then, he stretched his hands and then after commanding the energy to pass, the blinding pressure shot out and then, mysteriously both tentacles burst into reeking black blood making the hovercraft to scatter into the air with full force, shocking the Lieutenants and even the Monk. Well, for now the Monk was no longer going to be his problem, but the Lieutenant was much more powerful than he ever expected, his abilities have somehow been unlocked and he hasn't been able to study them too well.

Well,

'come get me!'

The aura that the Monk gave off was gone and now, it was left with Blake and the Bloody Lieutenants and then three of them rushed him instantly.

"Fuck!'

Blake deflected an ominious attack using the both blades and then the tremor of the battle threw him some steps back.

Clangor of metals filled the air.

Marshall instantly stepped into the fight and Blake did not know why he just wanted to avoid fighting this immortal. He was an optimist himself and Blake noticed the way he extracts power from his opponent rendering them defenceless. But Blake wasn't ready for him now. Marshall was thrown aside by a certain force and then the other Lieutenants clustered around him.

Blake realised that the best way to kill an immortal was taking them by surprise. And secondly, keeping them closeby.

The [Night Tide] appeared out of nowhere and then pushed into one of the Immortals who's heart got pierced and cut open...

[You have slain an immortal....]

[You have been downed a weapon!!]

'Mamamia!'

Blake was incredibly pleased to have been downed a weapon by the gods and then, a Scarlette light swirlled and then a [Dark Scion] appeared on Blake's hand.

The Dark Scion had a ghostly pale colour of green. It has a steel ending in an angular tip and then flat on each side. It has a soccery enchantment ebbed within and then Blake mentally registered the blade into the [Hollow Mountain] so as to keep it safe from the harrowing eyes of the Lieutenants.

Well, the Lieutenant paused seeing another of their men go down but they froze instantly the moment the [Dark Scion] appeared in its scarlette weaves. They knew that it was the weapon delivered by the gods and their eyes shone with avarice. But Blake did not even wait for them to recover from their state of shock, he immediately pushed the blade forward into one of the Lieutenant and then pulled out only to turn swiftly and then another Lieutenant's head went rolling off.

[You have slained....]

[You have slained...]

No rewards came from his kill but Blake didn't care.

Right now, it was left with Marshall, that powerful Lieutenant and seeing him stare back, Blake prepared himself for a fierce attack.

A split second later, he was beside Blake, his fist crashing into the breastplate of the Dark armour he wore. As pain exploded through his body, Blake flew back and fell flat on the roof top almost going to the edge, sliding across it into the darkness.

'What?'

Before he could even rise, Marshall was already upon him, his foot slamming into Blake's ribs. Blake yelped as he was thrown into the air, then felt another blow landing on his chest, pushing all air out of his lungs and sending him plummeting back down through the hole made by the tentacles and he once again got swallowed by the darkness. This time around, he was followed and then the next minute, a loud bang exploded and slammed on his head making Blake to groan. Marshall's hand grasped his throat effortlessly.
