Demon Slayer

Blake found himself in the farmiliar surrounding of Blackshire Town, the green trees, the growing bushes and the tall mountain. Loomy hills with, small carved path leading deeper into the town. Blake almost wanted to smile. For a moment, he thought he would be spending the rest of his life in the Underworld Groove. And then, the gods blessed him. But again, it had to be a good energy, burning deep within his core and after everything, he conquered and passed his first trial which made him ripe to become a CrestFallen.

Blake finally smiled.

At long last, he would be able to save Jotham from the heirlocks. Moreover, he wouldn't be fighting the Heirlocks with just his ordinary mundane strength. He now had great physic and his body was now powerful due to the transformation. Well, he wasn't all that built, but at least, he no longer looked so deranged or, out of shape. Plus with his new found abilities, things were bound to change.

Finally, Blake looked at himself. But the moment he realised that he was entirely naked, his face suddenly turned pale.

First and foremost, the Loins garment handed by the gods in its scarlette weaves appeared delicately over his body as the soft silk rested unevenly on him.

Blake coughed, looking around to be sure that no one saw him.

Then, without wasting time, he started to go deeper into Blackshire Town.

'How will the next trial be like?'

This one really gave him a tough time so he was wondering if the trial of a CrestFallen would be more tough than the last trial a Dormant human gets to overcome.

Every trial on its own is bound to have its own resilience. Ways by which the human is to be able to perform the task. How he or she would be able to handle the brutal force of the underworld creatures under the nightmarish world of its own. Blake was feeling a bit skeptical and he continously felt himself been overshadowed by some sort of fear or the other.

The route leading to his village was actually long and therefore, he is bound to make his journey a much pleasant one to be.

He summoned his status.

Name: Blake Listerio

Attributes: [Blessed] [Honoured] and [Optimist]

Abilities: [Eye of the gods] [Levity] [Reflexe] [Darkness Cover] and [Ominous slip]

Victor's Name: Demon Slayer

Blake immediately coughed seeing his victors name.

'Wait, what?'

Was he a demon slayer? This appraisal was quite optimistic, just like the new attributes he got. He was an optimist and that eventually has to do with the willing of the gods. Also his ability actually gave him a chill. 'What does the Ominous Slip do?' Does that mean that, he was able to slip out of the grasp of enemies. Well, in terms of physical contact. If a creature grabs him with the intention to rip him apart then definitely, the core behind the ominous slip would activate and vice versa...

Blake didn't really want to go into a deep logic about the demon slayer part. If he was then, there would be, something like a calling. A particular Seed call. Where by the entity of darkness calls you in and when you meet with it, you either have to conquer that trial or the trial conquers you.

Blake shivered at the thought of it and glanced at a distance as he saw roofs of building emerge.

He continued staring into his status.

Soul Emblem: [1/4]

Well, the soul emblem has to do with the number of kills he is able to achieve. Once he is able to saturate his emblem, that is [1000/1000] his whole body would burst forth with power and then there would be an opening making all of his effort used up creating the second emblem so that instead of [1/4] it would be [2/4].

Then...

Entittlements: [War God] [Divine Monument] and [Gold Luck]

Role: CrestFallen

Trial: None

Kills: [28/1000]

Everything about his status was updated but, the most confused was his victor name...

The one talking about the demon slaying.

Was the gods turning him from a War God to a Demon Slayer? If that was so then, do they really change one's fate in the nick of time? Things was really confusing right now. Daemon of hope, freedom god, father of the suns and the moons. They were all powerful gods and diety and having a blood line of either of them turned out to be effective.

Blake sighed.

He just entered the farmiliar market place.

The place was crowded with people who of course were buying and selling. Wagons and carts being displayed all over with tons of perishable goods in it. Hordes of people gathered supplous and their communication was in few words.

"Buy... buy!"

"Give me this!"

"Should I really sell this?"

"What price do you want it for?"

All of these talks filled Blake's ears and he gritted his teeth out of anger. Although, he hated this but he really did miss it.

But right now, he did not want to waste anymore time, he needs to save Jotham quick so that, he would prepare himself for the next trial. Whenever it was coming, he did not know but he percieved that it wouldn't be long.

...

Finally once again, he found Evie and Tera.

They were on a simple tunic dress with parchments attached like in the medieval era. Their hair was dancing to the wind and Blake had to sigh taking his eyes off Tera's delicate face.

"Blake..."

Evie stared deep at him.

"I don't know about, when we would be facing the next trial."

"Ah, me too. Uh, girls. I need a favour from you both."

Evie's face brightened slightly giving Blake the burstling energy to continue.

"Actually, Master Jotham is..."

"Oh, right! Master Jotham. We did forget about him."

Tera said and Evie hummed.

"What did you say happened to him?"

"He was taken by the Heirlock... as if you don't know." Blake sneered incoherently.

Immediately, Evie burst into a long laugh.

Blake was suddenly intriqued by her laughs.

"Why are you laughing?"

"Sorry Blake... I always forget that you are indeed a sadist. Comon, let's go save Jotham."

Evie continued stiffling her laughs that it began to annoy Blake.

"Dummy!"

They started heading east where the kingdom of the Heirlocks dwell almost in the heart of Ruithe Ville so they walked deeper.

Looking at the way the people surrounded and packed themselves together, going about with their mundane business without having any dread or fear of the unknown. This potrays that, there haven't been any attack on them in the last months. Even the Duke Ferilando who depended on slaughtering humans to get his work done, didn't infiltrate even once.

'Are they planning something?'

Blake wasn't sure but he had a bad feeling that a catastrophic doom was looming some month away from now. But, he didn't care. All he wanted to do now was to find Jotham and get him off the snarling doom of the Heirlocks.

At last, they reached the heart of Ruithe ville and then, the territory of the Heirlocks stood like an impregnable fotress before them.
