Funny Encounter

Blake's eyes roamed about. He was feeling a bit oblivious to the fact that students crowded the hall. His face held total indifference just as Evie but Tera on her own was nervous to see them, her hands gripping the hem of her archaic garnet which she was putting on. Her crimson red eyes sparked with curiosity and mostly held fear within her. Blake sighed...

"Girly relax. They don't bite ok!"

Tera only felt that Blake was mocking her plight right now, so knew best not to respond furtively to his comments.

The hall which the trio entered was spaced out widely. It held those ancient and modern paintings of war gods. Some paintings engraved was of a particular deity, who's reign was cursed for eternity.

Of course, he knew the tale too well. Jotham had cleared him on this legendary tale always telling him how much of a courage he must instill on him. Blake was flabbergasted as he reeled what memories was left of those moments, he couldn't at all believe that Jotham was alive. Plus he still couldn't believe that Jotham died.

Alive and dead are simply two different words so he knew where and when to use them.

For now, he didn't want to go into detailed explanation about the Legendary diety so all must be left in the dark.

"What is going on now Blake? I am not able to get these matters into my head."

Evie uttered frankly and Blake rolled his eyes at her.

"I might tell, if you agree to reveal why you and Tera decided to leave Master Jotham and I today at the Gothic pool."

Evie's eyes twitched slightly at the demand coming directly from Blake.

'What a guy! He does know how to swindle.'

Evie smiled a little and gave him a soft push on the shoulders.

"Don't worry. You don't have to know about I and Tera's little secret."

The moment that statement fell out her lips, it was Blake's turn to look as though he had been swindled.

Blake sighed and smiled back at her.

Instantly, the number of students spotted them from afar and then the next minute, they were being crowded.

Some of them smiling so radiantly at them, and the other snickering as though they had just swooped in and stolen their treasures. Blake didn't like the crowd for one bit. He gave off that scary scowl and even those threatening to cling on him stopped. Normally, it was mostly the girls who looked like they just saw a really dreamy young man.

Blake himself didn't believe that he could be dreamy.

'What's so handsome about this look of mine? I literally look like the devil!!'

Blake found a way to get out of the crowds but the person he met next was never expected.

Gabriel!

He was here and seems like he had dragged Blake, or no.

Probably he had used the [Soul Step] to take him along and that was how he found himself at the other end of the hall, leaving Tera and Evie behind.

It was more of a funny encounter. And that is because, it was the first time for Blake to experience a mild means of teleportation.

He felt the nausea forming and the next minute, his whole lunch that afternoon was slowly coming out through his mouth.

'Yuck!'

Blake never thought that he would barf to the first teleportation he had ever under gone.

Few minutes later, there was a chubby lady there to address them.

Her hair was blonde and golden. It was also trimmed short, her pretty jade green eyes was brimming with excitement.

"Listen students, you only have to pick three classes during the registration! The registration is now open, so kids. No bickering, no confusion, no chit chat. Do the necessary."

After that spleen information, Gabriel turned to face Blake the moment the golden haired lady left.

"Hey, what kept you? I expected you to be the first to be at Imperial Academy."

Blake sighed for a split second.

"I might not have known that the Imperial Academy does exist. Someone actually introduced me. And this, to prep. Me for the second trial."

Gabriel chuckled.

"Did you know that, the diety of the black void was unleashed so that we seeking our freedom might be devoured by it."

Blake's eyes widened.

"Diety of the black void? Why would they do that?"

Blake shocked.

"Yup, most of the members that passed through the gateway with us didn't make it back to the other side."

Blake swallowed. Hard!

He really didn't know that the gods will unleash that devilish beast to the void to kill the already freed temple slaves.

"I didn't see any beast on my side."

Blake argued.

"I did see. But the moment it entered, the gods had it taken back. You know, I was in a vulnerable state. Even though the beast gets in, there is no way that you would be able to fight back."

Blake sighed at the information he had just gotten and then turned to face the hall leading into the registration center.

"Let's get ourselves registered to the classes. For the mean time, let me get the girls."

The next minute, they both splited.

Blake found Evie and Tera surrounded by few guys. It was as though they were being bullied but heck, he knows Evie!

Evie was a warrior. Blake couldn't talk of Tera now but Evie...

Blake knew that Evie wouldn't go without a fight if those guys decided to hit on them.

Then his footsteps slowed as he neared them.
