Axis-9

"We have arrived, and it is now that we perform our charge. In fealty to the God-Emperor, our undying Lord, and by the grace of the Golden Throne, I declare Exterminatus upon the imperial world of Axis nine. I hereby sign the death warrant of an entire world, and consign a million souls to oblivion. May Imperial Justice account in all balance. The Emperor Protects." Odin muttered as he looked at the world that seemed to mirror his own.

"What?" Ulv asked as he turned around.

"I thought the quote fit, so I said it." Odin said as he looked at the sky and saw the sun.

The sun carried a more reddish tint but looked the same as earth's yellow-orange dwarf star. As he looked at the star, he could already feel it. Even if it was minor, it still existed.

It was an energy that was tame but yet held darkness. It was so minor that if not focused on, you wouldn't notice it. Even from its current tameness, he could estimate its chaotic nature.

The energy slowly entered his body passively, as it did through all. His soul made contact with it and deflected it, but his mind absorbed it. At first, his mind was normal, but soon he felt his taste buds activate. He tasted a sweet flavor that was like candy. It soon turned to the taste of copper before turning to taste like rotten meat and finally like a combination of unknown flavors.

'So this is the influence of the warp. It's minor but yet for me, it's clear as day I may be physically strong but am I mentally strong if I were to encounter the actual coercion of chaos would I stand or kneel?' Odin thought as he adjusted his mind.

'Even the primarchs fell to chaos it might have been from the ruinous powers but that doesn't mean a demon or other creature from the warp couldn't defeat me by corruption after all feats of physical strength are meaningless compared to mental feats of unbendable willpower.'

"Give me your hand," Odin said as he turned to look at Ulv.

Ulv reached out and Odin touched it with his finger. A small prick was felt by Ulv and Odin explained.

"I sent a small bit of my armor into you. It acts as a locator. That way I can find you I'll see you at dusk." Odin said as he disappeared.

Odin was not using his suit's abilities, just his own physical abilities, yet he was like the flash becoming a blur to normal humans as he toured the city by himself.

It was always wondered how a 7-foot man in nearly a ton or 2 of metal could move so fast and so silently. Seeing this scene, one would be horrified at seeing a man covered in dark ominous armor that stood at 15 feet, moving at the speed of a car going at highway speeds.

Odin explored the city till dusk and had gained enough information on the language. He could translate it verbally, but he could not read it, so the exploration helped him learn the written form of the language of Axis-9.

He had also learned a bit about the warriors and knights. The warriors used Evo suits that had become adapted to combat specifications just like the terminator armor, in fact, they were terminator armor just these were a little more advanced from what Odin could tell but then again he hadn't seen actual terminator armor from the imperium so he couldn't say much.

The knights were, as you could guess, giant mechs that came with the colony ships to help with protection and gathering resources to build the colony once they got to the world.

The knights had made houses but held very little political power it was under the government, which was ruled like ancient Rome.

He had also seen a beast or what they called a scorch lion. It was a giant lion covered in black coal like fur with what seemed to be veins made of magma. Its steps burnt the ground, and it took three warriors to defeat it, which astounded Odin.

If a normal space marine armor was like guardsmen armor, then terminator armor was like space marine armor, yet he saw the scorch lion spit out magma that melted one of the warrior's legs off in mere seconds.

Odin felt like it would be much harder as he thought about the beast raids Ulv had mentioned. Making his way around town, he noticed an old man laying on the street. A small cardboard sign was next to him asking for money. Odin did not take any of this to mind he was focused on the decaying aura around the man.

The aura was heavily suppressed and was trying to make contact with the warp energy, but could only go a few inches before it dissipated.

'A demon can survive this long while disconnected from the warp?' Odin thought as he walked up to the man.

Odin activated his Baphomet gene on the man, extending the invisibility before he looked around to make sure no one paid attention. The old man felt a hand on his neck and his eyes were darting left and right. Before the old man could say anything, he felt a huge force pressing on him and then heard the sound of bone crunching as his neck was broken.

'A demon like this could be a decent study. Sorry that I have to kill you, but your sacrifice will mean the safety of millions, no quadrillions of human lives all over the galaxy.' Odin said in his mind as he stored the corpse in his system's inventory.

Odin looked around to make sure no one had seen again and then looked at the old man's items. It was very little, just the signs and a hat that was worn but had a few bills.

Odin took the money, inspected it and then burned it as he didn't want to infect himself or this world with some unknown illness. Odin closed his eyes and bowed his head in respect before leaving and going to find Ulv.

Odin soon arrived at the house where Ulv lived in. It was much more luxurious than the rest, but still less than a mansion or the like.

Most of what he had seen seemed to be more impoverished. Either the city's economy was bad or they did not care about such high-end luxuries.
