Feeling disconnected

Odin entered the workshop and pressed a button near the door. The small workshop expanded and new instruments appeared. The workshop Odin mostly worked in was 500 Square feet, but it had now become 2,000 square feet.

The workshop had five sizes for different items. The one Odin used to study the power armor and bolter was the miniature workshop. After that it went low workshop. This was for things like the knight mechs.

There was then a mid workshop for things like the colossus, then a high for things like starships and the pillars of creation and then a hyper workshop for things like literal universes.

Each had their instruments. He could create anything, but he needed the knowledge to create it. The simplest tools in the workshop were highly advanced, easily billions of times better than any tool on earth. Odin could also turn the workshop into a testing room by flicking a switch.

Odin walked to a circular pad and placed the terminator armor on it. A blue hologram appeared, showing a small terminator and lots of data. He ignored it for now and went to a bigger scanner and placed the knight mech on it.

Odin took out a small tablet and pressed on the screen, and had both scans sent to his tablet. He took one last look at the mech before going to his workbench.

The tablet showed various amounts of information from height material composition durability, etc. Odin tapped a few more times and had the information sent to his brain.

This tablet was the same as the data shard tablets, but instead worked to transfer information through quantum entanglement. This was called flow, since it allowed information to flow instantly. This was also how Odin's telepathy worked.

Odin sorted the information by category and then studied them one by one and relate them to his older knowledge. It was quite easy to study it as he used power armor as a reference because power armor was basically a mini mech.

Of course, there were differences considering their purpose, but it still gave a solid base to work with. As he looked through the data, Odin activated the workbench and a big blue screen appeared. Odin made improvements to his power armor blueprint as he looked at the data.

Odin easily processed the information and made complex calculations and then formed improvements for his armor. As he fully absorbed the data, Odin requested for more and the A.I in his armor responded by connecting Odin to the internet on earth.

Having free reign over the internet Odin scoured all sources of knowledge to help him. Before his evolution, the most complex problems were child's play, but now to call it child's play was to overestimate this insignificant amount of knowledge.

As Odin absorbed knowledge, he noticed that he felt a light disconnection from humanity. He did not view them in any bad light or the like, but he imagined them like how the elder would. Odin realized he was still human but was at a new point in human evolution. It was like a man looking at an ape.

They once shared an ancestor, but now they were so different it was hard to relate. As he thought this, Odin wondered how it would affect his relationships. Would his friends still be friends to him? If he ever fell in love, would his new state affect it for the worst or best?

All these thoughts only occupied 1% of his brain, the rest absorbed knowledge and worked on making new advancements on subjects. The existential crisis was minor in Odin's mind, yet it still affected him. Odin only had one solution to his problem, but it was far from ready.

During all this, Sigrid arrived at the mountain and found the secret entrance. As he walked inside, she saw Ragnar standing at the door to the hideout he was holding a bolter that Odin had made. The bolter he held was actually a storm bolter, as it was easy to make for Odin. He had also installed a belt feed to Ragnar's back, which held 500 rounds of .75 caliber or 19.05mm.

Odin had actually given him two, but Ragnar felt it added too much weight with the extra belt feed added. The difference between this storm bolter and the real storm bolter was that Odin had kept the same fire rate that the bolter had, which was 451 per minute while a storm bolter was 545 rounds per minute. The storm bolter had the same range as the typical bolter 45m (100%) - 70m(85%) the storm bolter was much worse at 0m (100%)- 15m(85%)

This also had a General intelligence that connected to Ragnar's helmet and gave him the data on the most optimal way to shoot. This had increased his hit rate from 46% to an astounding 89%. This meant if he shot ten shots, he would now hit 8-9 shoots much better than the old 4-5 shoots.

Ragnar aimed his bolter at Sigrid and said.

"Who are you?" his robotic voice, caused by his helmet, echoed in the cave.

From his view, a red dot appeared on Sigrid and as he moved his bolter, the dot moved and he moved it to Sigrid's feet. Ragnar wanted to capture the intruder alive, but he was ready to kill.

"Ragnar, it's me, Sigrid. I need Greg's help. Please let me in!" Sigrid said as she raised her hands up and showed herself.

"Sigrid, why are you here? Were you sent?" Ragnar ignored Sigrid's words because it was a shock to have the greatest knight standing right in front of him.

"Ragnar, you loveable idiot. I just told you why I came now. Please let me in. I need to speak to Greg!" Sigrid chuckled as she looked at Ragnar.

"Uh... Yeah." Ragnar stepped aside and opened the door.

Sigrid made her way in and quickly found Greg looking at some data.
