Airport goodbyes

Carrying millions of dreams, Nuri finally led her way to the Airport at around 6 am. Yeah! It was a morning flight. Morning! the most hard time of the day for her.Early morning, feeling sleepy and dressed as usual, in a sweatshirt and pant and her most favourite sneakers, her brother, Ariket had gifted her saving every bit of his pocket money last year, quiet unusual as a younger brother.. Isn't it? but though they fought like cats and dogs at the end of the day they had to be with each other... from solving mathematical problems to kneading dough for cookies their life was a fun one together. Today was the day, he felt something will be missing from his life for the next three years. The brotherly love, which he never revealed would anytime burst out in the form of tears.

The flight is in next 2 hours and Nuri and her brother are at a coffee shop to buy some cold brew and a cupcake for the five of them. Amit is also accompanying them.

"2 Cold brew, a cold coffee with ice cream and 2 latte please" ordered Nuri. Cold brew has always been favourite of Nuri and Amit. Nuri was the one who introduced cold brew to Amit and then started the never ending relationship of the coffee and the two. In the absence of Nuri, Mr. Ghosh, her father found a reason to shed a few tears. As usual, you know maintenance of fatherly image is mandatory among your children. He cherished her childhood and her pleasant smile which made his day.

P. S. Seeing Nuri's face in the morning was the first morning ritual he followed as he considered her a noor(meaning one with a beautiful face).

"Nila, will she remember to video call me early in the morning so as to just catch a glimpse of her face"said Mr. Ghosh. Nila was Nuri's beautiful mother with Himachali ancestry. She was born and brought up in Himachal Pradesh. So Nuri was a perfect Pahari-Bengali beauty.

"Eshh! do you just remember that we don't have same time zones! It would be a arduous thing to do for her. But at the end she's your daughter, a perfectionist just like you, how can she forget to call you? "

"I can't believe my baby girl, the Apple of my eye is going miles away from me Nila"

Mrs. Ghosh tried to calm him down but deep down you know motherly love!

In Nuri's case, her mother was as strong as her father in hiding her emotions. So she was captain America for her. Captain America, a name she called her mother with. Mrs, Ghosh reminisced all the memories with her. They spent a few minutes in weeping before the children arrived back.

"Sounds like you both had a sobbing session, didn't you? joked Ariket.

"Stop it and let's go and complete the required formalities." said Mrs. Ghosh

They had a coffee session and finished the requirements. Just 30 minutes before boarding, Amit had something to say to her. "I don't know whether you'll remember our memories or not, you'll remember our ice cream sessions or not. You'll remember me Or not" he had a few tears in his eyes while conveying the last line, the eyes which had thousands of words to say. For the first time Nuri had looked in those eyes clearly, the eyes which clearly conveyed something she didn't realised. She realised how beautiful they were, how charming personality he had, a good manly figure ,dark brown eyes, curly hair, a wheatish complexion, a perfect nose, lips of the colour of a strawberry and a perfect jaw line.

coming back to the reality she realised she had been staring at those eyes from the past 10 minutes.

"Please don't play this emotional drama Amit. I know you, you were the one who made me strong enough to not be emotional frequently and now you are the one in this situation! I don't remember this Amit" and she broke into tears and hugged him. He hugged back and didn't leave each other for the next 10 minutes. "Of course,I'll remember you and our memories".

"Ahm! 10 minutes left, time to board the plane, Sissy. Ariket was the one who always knew some spark was always between Nuri and Amit. But neither did he talked to them nor he himself had the courage to ask them.

Amit gave her a gift and said the final goodbye. "Open it once you reach your destination" okay?

Yeah! All right..

She said her goodbye to her parents and her brother who had brought her a pair of Nike sneakers which she had already packed in her suitcase..... remember it cost me 12,000 bucks...don't ever dare to mess with them...

they all had a hearty laugh and she left towards her boarding flight, turning back again to see if all was okay... She left.... She left to one of her dream destination... She left to make all of the people behind proud... People-Her family, her parents her brother and her Amit.... She left to make the dreams come true.... She left.
