Lots of confusion.....

It was something unusual Nuri noticed the other morning, someone was just waiting outside her dorm room. Taking a closer look she saw that it was the same boy she met a day before. It was Adrick.

"What is he upto"? Nuri asked herself

She stood in front of him but he was too busy to just iron his t shirt with his own hands and almost tripped when he saw Nuri.

"I was waiting for you".... Said Adrick

"Can I please know the reason for this wait?"

"Oh that! It was just that when two people don't have company to arrive to their classes, they should enjoy the company of each other."and he gave a wide smile.

"Oh okay, but how did you find my room Or you were just stalking me, Huh? " Asked Nuri with a confused glance.

"No, I just found out on my own,anyways will you please stop investigating me with those raised eyebrows? Let's go to the class Or we'll be late. I don't want a bad image in front of that gorgeous lady" laughed Adrick.

They continue their classes but the whole time Nuri was wondering if Adrick had a crush on her or has he been lonely enough to make her his friend. Anyways it was just a thought and it vanished away when they visited Starbucks. Yes Starbucks and the first Starbucks Nuri ever Visited. Kolkata had the franchise but it was expensive enough not to visit. But here, it was a friendly treat from Adrick. Nuri hadn't spent a penny on food at the restaurants from the last 3 days as the treats were usually from Jia. Nuri would repay it anyways. But here she didn't know what to order as she had ordered from the other coffee shops but not this one.

"Today, you decide what to drink", sighed Nuri

Okay, I'll just be real in front of you. This is my first time here and i don't even know the names", Adrick said sadly.

"Okay, now let me also be real, same here, I don't even know how to order" giggled Nuri

and they both had a hearty laugh.

"So, let's just order what the person in front of us orders or just google a famous drink" smiled Adrick.

They took approx 10 minutes to google the right cold coffee as they both loved coffee in the cold form. Nuri usually ordered cold brew but wanted something different today as you know it was STARBUCKS ✨🐂☕. Finally they decide to have salted caramel cream cold brew as it was the most tempting and had the easy pronunciation according to them. Adrick ordered it and after a wait of 6-7 minutes their order was ready. They had to accept that it became their favorite the moment they had the first sip. They talked a little about each other's background and suddenly Adrick felt a urge to talk to Amit.

"Okay, Okay, I'll just make the arrangement tomorrow, It is too late to call back at home now" said Nuri. and the deal was done.

Again, Nuri was confused a friend of one day wanted to talk to her best friend? why? Is it out of jealousy or just a normal human trait? She was just fed up of her confused life.

They said their goodbyes and Adrick took a promise from her to wait for him every morning outside her dorm in case he got late.

It was just a lie and as soon as she reached her room, she called her parents and talked to them about the day and her new friends.

"Nuri beta, just be careful with the boys abroad, not everyone is Amit" said Mrs Ghosh.

Yeah Maa, I'll take care and they said their goodbyes. Next she called Amit and a sign of discomfort was on his face.

"Why he wants to talk to me? You could have just declined the offer or just never told him about me. What is wrong with you? A guy who you have known for only 2 days wants to talk to me now... Anyways, now just tell me when will you call"said Amit with a grumpy face

"I'll just call you at around 10 am IST. Just behave like a human being and feel glad that I introduced you to a foreigner or else you'll be left behind with either me Or that stupid so called soccer friends or I can say teammates you have. " said Nuri

"Now, I can admit you're the one who can just make me happy with that grumpy look on your face".By the way did you open the gift? Asked Amit.

"Oh no! I just forgot.. Okay I'll open it now and you be ready tomorrow"

They said their goodbyes and Amit was just left thinking about his secret gift and the would be reaction of Nuri. Nuri leaned forward to pick the gift when Jia called her and asked her to come outside and see the amazing fireworks in the sky. Again the gift was left unattended......
