After the final bell rang, Persephone packed her books into her bag, and started heading towards the door when an all too familiar hothead blocked her path.
"Persephone, got a minute?"
The young goddess had had enough of Ares for one day, she had no idea it was even possible to dislike someone you had just met but this god was proving her wrong. "I'm actually meeting up with Eris, we're going to get something to eat off campus."
"Well I could give you guys a ride, I don't mind." Ares responded.
Persephone moved to the side and walked past the dark haired god towards the door, "I thought you and your sister don't get along. Why would you want to give us a ride?"
"I wouldn't really say we don't get along," Ares explained sheepishly as he followed Persephone into the hallway towards the exit, "we just have very different personalities, but she's still my sister at the end of the day." He peeked at Persephone's face that was slightly covered by her long ginger hair, "so what do you say? It will save you some coins."
"Persephone?" A smooth deep voice reached the goddess' ears making her turn around.
"Tekos? What are you doing in the freshmen's block?" Persephone really had to remember to thank Tekos for showing up yet again when she needed him most, he had been her hero all day today.
"I help out around here when I have no classes of my own as an assistant lecturer," the satyr explained, "I didn't know you were majoring in botany, it's a great course."
"Well it's not like I had much of a choice," Persephone replied and created a big pink rose that she showed to Tekos, "I'm the goddess of spring."
Tekos took the flower and gently placed it in Persephone's hair, "it suits you," he mumbled with a smile. "I mean your power!" He then blurted out in a panicked nervous tone, "your power suits you."
Ares frowned at the attention that the satyr was getting from Persephone and cleared his throat to get both their attention. "So Persephone you still need that ride?"
"Ride? Are you going somewhere?" Tekos asked.
"Me and Eris were going to grab something to eat, there's a kfc place not too far from here, I've really been craving their sticky wings."
"How ironic, I was heading over there too, though I'm more of a burger man myself." Tekos turned to Ares who was staring daggers at him. "Maybe we can all go there together."
"That sounds like a great idea," Persephone responded and followed the satyr out the building. She didn't like the idea of being with Eris and her brother alone anyway, it had already been a long day and Persephone didn't want to add 'sibling rivalry' to the mix.
When they walked out of the building, Eris was already waiting outside excitedly, but as soon as she caught sight of her brother her smile flipped upside down, "what are you, some sort of stalker now? Why can't you leave us alone?!"
"For your information I'm giving Persephone a ride to kfc," Ares spat back, "I'm only tolerating you cause you're her friend."
"Hey Ares did you say KFC? Can I get a ride man? I was heading that way too."
"Yeah me too, haven't eaten all day. I could really go for some spicy wings."
Ares groaned in irritation as his friends filled up his convertible Jeep. "I knew I should have let the top down," he grumbled to himself.
"Oh oh, looks like you're all full, such a shame." Eris took Persephone's hand and gave her brother a taunting smirk, "guess you'll have to go without us."
Ares looked at his car and noticed there was still one seat left, much to his relief. But before he could ask Persephone to join, Eris walked passed him to the car, shoved the guy who was sitting at the passenger seat to the back, and occupied the remaining seat. "Come on Ares we're burning daylight!" Eris yelled.
Persephone turned to Tekos and gave him a nervous smile, "guess it's just you and me then?"
"Right, I'm parked just by the tree over there, come on I'll show you."
Persephone followed the blue eyed satyr to the tree he had pointed at and was shocked to see him pulling off a helmet from the handle of a Honda rebel 500.
"You have a bike?"
Tekos strapped his helmet on before digging into his bag and pulling out another bike helmet for Persephone, "yeah I do, I call her Pegasus," Tekos gave the bike two pats and smiled proudly, "I hope you don't mind? Have you ever been on a bike before?"
The girl gulped as she took the headgear, "no this will be my first time."
Tekos walked to Persephone and helped her secure her helmet, "then I promise to go slow for your sake, or if you prefer we could just get a can and-"
"No the bike is fine," Persephone mumbled as she moved cautiously towards the machine. She didn't want Tekos thinking she was just some backwards little girl like Hades did. "Shall we go?" She mumbled nervously.
Tekos nodded and hopped onto his bike, after which he reached for Persephone and helped her get on. "Hold on tight to me okay?"
The satyr didn't fully realize what he had asked Persephone to do until he actually felt her wrap her arms around his waist. Tekos swiftly reached into this jacket pocket and popped a pill into his mouth before taking a deep breath. He then grabbed the handles tightly before raving the bike to life.
A few meters down the road, Ares had a sulky look on his face as he drove towards the school gates, who the hell was that satyr who was clearly trying to make a move on Persephone? Did they have a thing? Did Persephone like him?
Just then, as if Ares' resentment for Tekos wasn't already at its peak, Ares spotted the satyr in his side view mirror approaching the car at an alarming speed.
"What the-"
Tekos and Persephone zoomed past the car making Eris scream excitedly at them while waving gang signs in the air.
"That loser has a freaking bike?!" Ares growled in frustration and jealousy.
"Take a seat Ares, Tekos is way out of your league!" Eris taunted her brother and angered him even more.
The jealous god stepped on the gas and raced towards the Tekos and Persephone, he wasn't going to allow that low life satyr to outdo a god, no way in Tartarus!
Persephone glanced behind her and saw Ares' jeep quickly approaching, "I think they want a race!" She called to Tekos.
"Let them win! I don't want to go too fast for your sake!"
The car neared Tekos' bike and Persephone noticed the smug smile on Ares' face as he overtook them, that shallow arrogant bum, it was high time someone knocked him down a peg or two. "I don't mind racing them!" Persephone told Ares.
"What was that? I can't really hear you with all this wind!"
Persephone leaned closer to the satyr and flipped open the face shield of her helmet. "I said floor it!"
Tekos smirked at Persephone's new found courage, was she secretly an adrenaline junkie underneath that sweet soft shell? "Alright! hold on tight!" Tekos leaned forward and pumped the gas.
As they sped past Ares and the others, Persephone gave the arrogant god a taunting mini salute before screaming in excitement. This rush, the danger, the adrenaline, she loved every single second of it. "Woooooooooo!!"
Tekos couldn't help but smile at her glee, it seemed there was a side of Persephone he was yet to see, and he couldn't wait to get a glimpse.

Hades parked his car outside the restaurant and sighed in frustration, he couldn't believe he had to drive all the way to Olympus for his sticky wings all thanks to Melia.
Thanatos had down right refused to drive the siren back to her home for reasons best known to him, so Hades had to do it himself. While on the way, Hades had stopped by KFC to pick up an order he had placed earlier, and he gave Melia strict instructions not to leave the car because of the inappropriate attire she was wearing. But what did she do? She walked out of the car in the inappropriate attire she was wearing and had them both kicked out. "I need to detach myself from that woman before people begin to assume we are together."
As the king of the underworld mumbled to himself, the sound of a motorcycle drew his attention. He turned to his window and saw a couple pulling in beside him on a very impressive looking bike.
"Why does the universe find joy in rubbing other people's happiness in my face- wait!" Hades plastered his face onto the car window, which thank the gods was tinted, and stared at the couple who had dismounted the motorcycle.
Tekos took off his helmet and placed it on his handles before helping Persephone take hers off. "I hope I wasn't to fast."
"Are you kidding me, you were amazing back there!" Persephone shrieked in excitement as the satyr set her helmet aside. "Did you see how fast we zipped past Eris and them?! We were like whoosh.. and they were like nooo.. and it was the best thing ever!"
Tekos laughed at how adorable the goddess' reactions were. "It's a shame about the flower though, it got all squished up under the helmet."
Hades, with knitted eyebrows, watched as Tekos moved closer to Persephone and pulled a flower from her hair. There was a strange feeling that brewed in his chest watching the satyr act so comfortable around Persephone but he couldn't explain what it was? Was he getting hurt burn or something? Well whatever the feeling was, Hades didn't like it one bit.
